I've tried Asana and others, and really just groove on TeamGantt's graphical at-a-glance approach. In particular, tasks aren't either "done or not done," it's not a binary checklist. You and your team see them as progress bars across a period of time. Add colour coding, and real-time Google Docs style group viewing and editing, and these folks have got it all sewn up IMO.
No iPhone app...? Might be nice to be able to check status or update a project on the go.
I'm a communications consultant and I work with coalitions of organizations, with multiple stakeholders. I like that I can add any of these stakeholders as team members, so they can check in and see where the project is at without emailing or calling me.
I like how my customers can use the software with me.
There are no dependencies. When I use a template I also have to delete each date one by one.
Showing my customers the status of tasks without having to send them a status report.
Various different views of the project help team members use the platform
The tasks sometimes don't stick in the gantt view.
We keep all of our programs on track using this platform. It has streamlined the way we do business.
The software is easy to use and visually it looks great, managing projects are actually fun in Team Gantt
Havent found much to dislike so far, only been using the product for a short period.
Time management is so much easier and allocating staff tasks and keeping track of those tasks is great.
Simple fast interface, Large amount of project features usually found in microsoft project.
Needs to be more relationships and prerequisites of tasks. Autoscheduling based on how many days a task would take would be extremely useful.
Organisation of large quantities of projects, helping to keep track of tasks to make sure everything gets completed.
An easy to use an intuitive system that I learned to use in less than an hour. Any initial problems were covered by the help videos and later more complex issues were handled by the TG team who responded to queries within a couple of hours each time.
No easy output to say Microsoft project or other system. This subsystem could use an export system and an editable graphical output.
Multi Project management over three countries. Easy use means no (or minimal internal) staff training required - help videos take care of most queries. Excellent support takes care of queries not covered in help documents and videos. It lends itself to multiple projects handling
The automatic notifications that go out to team members reminding them of upcoming and overdue tasks.
The inability to cut and paste text into or out of certain portions of the project plan.
Keeping the team more connected and more aware of the tasks and the critical path of the project.
The user interface and its intuitive formatting.
Not being able to sync files to the Sharepoint network.
Teams communication and deliverable of tasks.
Track organisational-wide ojbjectives plus details workplans works well with all the functions (checklist, milestones, dependencies, assigns, availability) Sync's with Trello is amassive bonus too
Price jump from Free to Standard to high. No support yet for small charities Change the price and I'd refer to non profits all day
Org Dev & Restructures Fundraising and grant management
History rollback functionality and scheduling
Inability to convert to MS Project easily
Agile Development Website Project
The simplicity of use and the ability for everyone to catch on quick to start using
Small icons and buttons to find, not being able to add multiple separate gantt lines on a single line, Cant delete or change line items on a global scale
Construction scheduling has been great its keeping everyone on the same page
I really like to work with MSP but as I don't have access to MSP right now, I found working with TEamgantt really convenient.
However, the free version is somehow limited and it would be awesome if they can let at least student access some more features
Not problems but I manage my everyday tasks with TeamGantt
So I have started using Teamgantt, ever since my access to MSP was cut and I only have access to its free version. I like the Gantt view although I cant prioritize tasks based on other tasks but it is better than Excell I believe. It saves a huge amount of time
Well, it is all about the feature that I don't have access to the free version like and of course prioritization. like what we have in MSP FS, SF etc.
It is good as far as you pay, I guess
Projects can be shared and lists can be made and attached to the steps
A little too cartoon-like for my work culture
Organization and productivity
Very clean interface allowing for quick visual of project progress.
There are some features missing that other project management tools have. I trust as the platform evolves there will be more added.
We are tracking project progress and providing simplified views to our clients
It is very straightforward software that allows users comment, attach files and assign tasks to other users.
No software integration with third-party partners. This could be useful for email or other task apps.
New product development and works for most everything we need.
I love that the columns on the gantt chart are easily moveable so you can widen them if you need to see more of the chart. I also love that you can toggle between the Gantt view and the List view. I use the gantt view when I want a visual of my project schedule. I also use this view if I want to see how different steps in a project interact with each other. For example, sometimes one step is dependent upon another one being completed and the Gantt view easily shows this. I use the list view when I quickly want to look at a step in the project. It is easier to find in an organized list then it is on a gantt chart.
I dislike the option to add percent completed to a project. I do not find this feature useful and it sometimes clutters up my screen. I am never adding percentages to the TeamGantt software and therefore do not find this useful at all.
I am solving the business problem of organization and project schedules with TeamGantt. Before I had this software, I was constantly making lists of deadlines with pen and paper. Now that I have a digital way to organize all of my deadlines, I have found that it is extremely useful.
I was searching for a solution that had a Gantt Chart in Trello so that I could keep everything in one place.
Updates to the chart are slow to load and you have to flip between two systems to make certain changes.
I needed a solution for integrating marketing efforts with sales and production. There was no visual approach to the overlap in projects and company needs, Team Gantt was the solution for that.
