The number of freelancers available to bid on my project.
No dislikes. I use the platform all the time and have no issues with it.
Reducing the need to hire full time employees for a job.
Ideal for accessing skillsets not inherent to your internal team
Sometimes hard to get the system set just the way you want it
Find workers to do outsourcable tasks
It's allowed me to set up a business and allows me to reach clients globally
The fee structure on the freelancer side makes me want to look for alternatives or to deplatform.
I'm supporting business growth, and the benefits are instantaneous with added self worth, confidence, and professional standing.
The sure earnings and lot of clients to find with
Refund automatically the client without our consent
Disputes
I love the ease of the entire platform. I love that you can invite people from everywhere. There are a lot of filters that you can apply when creating a post, and even the ability to reuse a similar post when you are writing up something new. There’s just a lot of options and they are constantly updating the site.
Not much to be honest, They’ve really thought of everything.
I am outsourcing a lot of my work, so that way I can generate more clients and possibilities.
Ease of finding and hiring freelancers. I Also like the escrow system of only releasing finds when you are happy with the work
No negative feedback based on my experience
Access to Freelance talent
Incredible filtering capabilities. Being able to narrow down the right jobs, or the right candidates make my life 10x easier.
Even with their new pricing model, there's a huge influx of irrelevant applications. People want to work and apply to everything slightly relevant to them.
Definitely hiring. But also helping me determine appropriate costs, test out new freelancers, and get more transparency on the people we hire.
The continued access to work with ongoing clients
clients need to know how the platform works better like closing out projects.
.
Allows me to post a job I need and get a variety of bids from all over the world.
I have to have my own NDA when working with freelancers.
I’ve been able to scale my business by hiring for tasks that I don’t have time to complete. Also it allows me to expand my product offering.
Its easy, plenty of choices and we can compare different quotes and past work of potential freelancers
its available to everyone even my competitors :)
I had issues with my amazon account which was resolved by a freelancer, i posted my requirements and had many offers. After going through the credential of candidates, I choose one suited best to what i needed and that did the trick.
It's just a fantastic resource to get help and at a great price. I like that I have total control over what I pay and I can see all freelancer's work.
I do not feel like there is anything I dislike about UPWORK to be honest.
Pretty much all of our administrative work is now handled by 3 different virtual assistants. Prior to UPWORK I and the other owner were doing everything. It's very hard to grow your business when you're wearing 15 different hats. Upwork has helped me a lot.
Upwork is the easier platform to operate and its very easy to get clients and new project.
A lot of the clients/projects want to pay lower amounts.
I am doing a job( telemarketing) that no one else wants to do! The benefits are for me and allow me the flexibility to work and be a mom.
I like that I can select how to pay, where the freelancers are located, and their experience level.
That freelancers do not read the job description before applying and lots of people who don't have the desired qualifications still apply.
Growing my business.
All the talented people I can hire on the site. Lots of affordable options to vet.
The interface can be confusing, particularly around the final steps of hiring.
I don't have a local pool of talent that does the work I need done. Upwork has them, and with all the skills I need. No training required.
Easy communication made it quick to talk to my hires across the globe
Only thing is the cost breakdown for hourly hires - could be more user friendly
Delegating my work for cheaper
It's a wonderful place to find a range of contractors who can help with small business projects
Functionality could be improved on the app
I do not have a large enough company to employ people in house. So it's a great way to employ experts on a job to job basis
The ability to find people who specialize in the tasks I need done.
I feel the messaging function is not optimal -- communicating with freelancers is not as easy as I'd like. Also, the tracking of transactions is unwieldy.
I'm able to find resources for a diverse set of tasks required in my consulting and startup businesses.
Upwork is easy to use. I like how there are so many options in choosing a freelancer who fits my needs.
I honestly have no complaints after hiring someone via Upwork! I plan to use Upwork for my future projects!
Upwork has helped me with a book I’m working on. I like that they send reminders to review your completed work.
The website is really easy to use and I really trust the service.
I wish I could find users more easily. or maybe be able to start a conversation without having to start a new job.
Being able to quickly find someone to troubleshoot issues. I've worked with some great people to urgently solve problems like when my email stopped working!
Many applicants from which to choose makes it a breeze
Timezone differences, but not upwork's fault
Content creation, graphics, website development
