Workable Pros and Cons

- Simplistic and easy to understand.
- Easy to accidentally email the wrong candidates.
- Difficult cusomter service.
Compare Workable with other popular tools in the same category.
Ease of sharing feedback. @mentioning at teammate makes it easy to compare notes on candidates.
I wish there was an easy way to see when jobs were posted.
We have greatly improved our ability to capture feedback on candidates.
It's super easy to customize your pipeline. Also I really like the option of given thumbs up or thumbs down feedback
There's nothing really, apart from the difficulties to change ownership in candidates if he/she comes from a recruiter or they applied directly
It's our ATS, the communications with candidates are really easy thanks to workable and with recruiters too
When I first started using it 5 years ago, I liked the fact that I easily understood how it works. Now I like its simplicity and the peace of mind I get when using it.
I have nothing important to add on this. I also want to add that I have not used another similar tool.
All job applications are there, categorised and easy to find, with the comments of the interviewers and all the features you might need (send directly emails, templates, snooze candidates etc. ) It makes your work easier.
I like the chat features which allows me to communicate with managers and also the inbox that shows updates to candidates
When candidates are moved to other roles that I do not have access to, I cannot see them which is a little confusing. Also sometimes when interviews are set up, I do not get notifications
The ability to work with managers and cut out a lot of back and forth communication with the visibility it provides
I like all of the. visibility I get with Workable
Needs: - keyboard shortcuts (Google drive style ideally) - "find" to see if candidates have a skill in their cover letter or PDF CV - "filter from view" - when I decline a candidate, I no longer want to see it (most of the time)
Hiring
The ease in locating candidates, & accessing their information/resumes.
I don't see any downsides. I enjoy using the site everyday.
I am able to locate potential candidates for a number of our firms open positions.
Very easy to use; going from one area to another. Great automation.
Cant really think of anything at this time.
Hiring, selecting the right candidates.
I would say the thing I enjoy the most is the flexible hiring pipeline. I work at a small startup and no two departments have the same hiring needs, so to allow department heads to have a say in how we craft the hiring process, not only empowers them but also allows buy-in. I also love the fact that the platform posts to a minimum of 13 different job boards. It really saves quite a lot of time and admin since you are not required to create accounts on any of these job boards. It honestly is any HR Professionals dream to have a platform that can automate the process for you.
There isn't much that I dislike about the platform, but if I did have one critique I would say the Team Reviews/Grading section could probably be a bit clearer.
The entire hiring process from start to finish. I used Workable at the last startup I worked at, so when I headed up the HR Department at my new startup, I knew how beneficial it was when it came to streamlining the entire process. We still are a small startup and team, but I wanted to ensure we laid the right foundation with Workable from Day 1.
Workable is user friendly and takes to hassle out of job postings. Posts to multiple sites automatically and the templates are a huge time saver.
I really haven't found any problems using this service.
Recruiting is simplified. One post automatically goes to multiple sites to provide the best results. We hire entry level positions throughout the year. Workable allows you to archive jobs to clone and repost later if necessary.
The many features it offers for optimizing workflows and the responsiveness of the support team when one needs their help.
When occasionally the system is down, but they usually manage to fix everything very fast.
I'd be completely lost without this ATS, it's perfect for managing a large workload.
