Adobe Bridge Reviews & Product Details

I am a designer, so Bridge is perfect for viewing/browsing mass amounts in my businesses server of files before importing into the program I am working with. It also integrates really well with other cloud services such as Box.

It does take some time to load files, but that's minor considering what it does.

Bridge allows me to preview large image files, PSDs, PDFs etc. that myself, designers and photographers send over for review. This saves me time so I don't have to open each individual file each time I want to look at it.

That I can see the images of my files not just the file names

That when I search for a file it doesn't bring up all the files I then have to use the file explorer in windows to find my file.

Its an easy and great way to keep everything organized. I can see all the information on each file I click on , this is great when I have a lot of files that look exactly the same such as marketing labels. I can see the sizes at the side and now which printer I have to send the labels to. Saves me the hassle of printing wrong files then having to cost the company money.

Makes viewing large Adobe files MUCH quicker than any other way I've found - I can see fairly good looks into detailed/large file types without having to open them. Easy way to insert Adobe files into other Adobe files quickly.

Interface isn't the greatest, and it isn't very user friendly. I've found a lot of little tricks that aren't very apparent if you're just using the software without any training. I've gotten a decent amount of crashes in the software although that might be because we're working with gigantic files.

We use Adobe Bridge as part of the Adobe Suite to design marketing materials.

The UI is very simple and straightforward. It's easy to label photos into different editing groups. The editing fields are appropriate for basic things like contrast, lighting, etc. And it's super easy to batch process and save out a large group of images from RAW files to jpg.

Depending on how many photos you're trying to process, batch can run a bit too slow at times.

Bridge makes it easy to quickly edit and process multiple photos at once, so that they are readily available to post on social media and web sites.

How easy it is to make contact sheets after the plug-in is installed.

Takes a while to learn all the elements that are available to use.

Bridge is pretty straightforward. You can easily preview image files with it and quickly give images star or color ratings.

Sometimes there can be some lag when previewing folders with large image files.

We use it to organize and view all of our incoming image assets.

Organization! I create so many various file types, Adobe related and others that it can be overwhelming without bridge to find and navigate to what I am looking for. The information display is clear and can help differentiate all the file type I use at a glance.

You really have to make it work for you. It's not apparent right away all the benefits, but once you start organizing and find your way with it, browsing becomes second nature.

Keeping all the various files organized and easy to locate and to find the right program to use a particular file has really benefited overall productivity.

I do like the photo viewer but honestly, bridge is kind of a throwaway program that I don't use very often except when open a large amount of raw files.

More organization features would be nice in future versions.

I like to ability to browse folders and their content. It's simple to explore inside the program. Excellent pictures even in the thumbnails for better review of documents. It works with nicely with Photoshop too.

I find the program can be slow sometimes andBridge isn't really the most beautiful program to look at. Honestly, if we didn't use it at work as part of a suite, I'd use alternative asset software.

It is an incredible program for viewing pictures in the right colour space.

The ability to open a file in photoshop and move it into Adobe Illustrator

Its quite the imposing interface, I do not fully understand what i can do with Adobe Bridge.

I am using this to format files sent to me in in PSD format to Adobe illustrator

User-friendly and straight forward layout.

I don't find it all that useful in my workflow.

Batch processing files and streamlining file storage.

I like that I can easily locate a large number of images when working on a project, like a brochure.

There are several more functions available then I am aware of, but don't use because I'm not sure how. As with other adobe products learning this software and all of the functions take time and I would rather spend my time looking at cool new functions in InDesign or PS.

It is good to search for files, but not much else.

It can be slow to load all your files depending on how extensive your database is.

Adobe Bridge is a great application for managing your locally stored files. It allows you to dig deeper into stored metadata versus the Finder for Mac or the File Explorer on Windows. Since Adobe Bridge is part of the Adobe Creative Suite, you can also use it to preview files that you may not be able to preview in Finder or File Explorer. I also think it's very cool that you can do file exporting and conversions right in Adobe Bridge. Adobe Bridge integrates well with other applications in the Creative Cloud including, Media Encoder, Illustrator, and Photoshop. I like all of the different options you have for viewing and previewing files, including the slide show mode.

I would say the one thing that I wish were different about Bridge is the user interface. It is a very functional software, but the user interface really needs to be updated.

Managing and exporting files.

It’s a straightforward browser that is more powerful for looking at large photo files. It’s real simple.

The layout of bridge makes it difficult to navigate folders sometimes.

In my organization of photos. If i need to go to the source and change something... it’s def the best way to change file names going to the source and actually enacting on the file.

What I like most about bridge is the labeling system and the filtering. The labeling/rating ability that DSLR cameras have is imported into bridge so I know exactly what photos I preferred in camera. The multiple ways of filtering photos to narrow them down is excellent. Bridge makes it easy to sort photos by color profile, lens, camera, by date created, etc.

I dislike the ease of use. The program seems clunky and hasn't been updated in a long time. Other editing programs like Photo Mechanic are more intuitive to use and have less window panes showing at once.

This program is great for photo editing, but my main use of it is to open JPG images in Adobe's camera raw window. As an editor I sometimes get jpg images that need major toning and being able to open them in camera raw through Bridge has been a life saver.

The batch renaming option and photo album creator! I like that I can view multiple formats, I normally cannot see with windows. Like AI, files.

The program crashes sometimes, often when I go to a usb storage folder.

I am able to open images straight into Camera Raw, I can stay organize with photo albums, and I can even favorite my most frequent used folders.

It is the default asset management when using the suite of adobe apps like photoshop, illustrator or premier ect. Allows for visual representation of files now with auto thumb preview which is great. I can see the various transitions before impoirting them into a project.

would be great if it was just a plug in that allowed for in app previews instead of launching a seperate application.
