It is relatively easy compared to many other software I have used. It has its own idiosyncrasies but once you get past that initial learning curve, you are very clear on what it can and cannot do. After that it is a breeze.

While the apps created are useful offline, the embedded pictures don’t show up. Quite frustrating, especially when you thought we have finally found our perfect software. Also I can’t seem to find a way to create multi grid answers. Maybe it is lurking somewhere but I haven’t been able to find it yet. It is also very expensive considering you need to pay USD 50 per app every month. This pricing will put them out of reach for many small agencies. Even we are using them because we don’t have the time and the patience to look for a better software. Hopefully they will improve faster than we get frustrated.

Quick once you know what you can and cannot do with this software.

Integration (without coing) of google sheet stored data (records) and rather simple making this information available by mean of an app.

section about online/ofline syncing and caching could be clearer. was quite a trial and error. Works now, but still not 100% sure why it works now.

Support website is helpful as the respondents can address your particular question. Much better than having generic response pages that may not address the problem you are having.

Some ability to further adjust the aesthetics of certain components would improve the apps a lot.

Ensuring high level of security can be difficult, especially when building apps in which we want responses from people outside of our organization.

The best part of the program is the degree of functionality it has. You can do almost anything if you know how. You can store PDF files, scan barcodes, use GPS on a map, create invoices, generate workflows, and much more.

The biggest thing I dislike about the program is the ability to alter the user interface. I also feel that the development interface is a little cluttered and every time you change something you are prompted to save it. It's also a little slow when it comes to loading and syncing. The formulas are a little hard to get your head around.

I currently use a appsheet to manage my inventory and invoices. I'm able to scan the barcode on my inventory to check it in and out.

Tha ability to create and publish a simple app with almost a google sheet and a few interactions with the interface combined with the intuitive developing process make this platform a perfect starting point for app development. Starting from scratch, I was able to test my first app in a few hours. Besides, it was funny to learn the mechanics of AppSheet!

Maybe the can make the interface more user friendly. Sometimes moving between views, tables and properties is not very comfortable

the fact that you can design an app quickly and launch it seamlessly and the fact that building the app comes with so much ease thanks to the appsheet platform and numerous tutorials and quick to respond support team

when the back end data becomes a lot, the app takes a long time to load. then app also doesnt have a column structure for passwords. if the app also had a column that could capture device ID, that would be nice

the problem im solving is lack of accountability from my teams. the benefit i get is real time reporting with pictorial evidence, quick analysis, among others

This is a very versatile web application that allows you to create simple and some complex apps within minutes. I work in Commercial HVAC commissioning new equipment. Being able to create an app in order to seamlessly provide a solution for multiple techs to input data without having to delve into coding was a huge relief. I had been wanting to create this for a long time, and now I don't have to wait until I gather years of experience in coding.

Despite its definite ease of use, there are definitely times in which some things don't make sense right away, specially if you watch a YouTube tutorial that was made on a different version of the software. I'm not sure if AppSheet has one already, but perhaps a forum in which one can post an intended problem domain and AppSheet can contribute some of the challenges they'd meet.

I am removing the bulkiness of paperwork that often gets lost during commercial HVAC commissioning and maintenance by creating an app that localizes the information on the field.

Appsheet makes navigating, reviewing, and inputing data into our data management system much easier. It saves us a ton of time and helps us avoid mistakes.

The apps have to sync after every change, which makes using the apps a bit slow.

We use Appsheet to develop an expense tracking app, which makes it much simpler to input expenses and keep track of receipts. We also use Appsheet to manage customer orders and deliveries, which saves quite a bit of time and prevents mistakes.

Allows me to create apps for my business that I can literally use in the field, as I own and operate a farm. Unlike most other apps, like smartsheet it works even when I am out of range of a data signal, which is essential. Relatively low cost compared to other options.

It does have some issues. I use excel in Office 365 as my backend data storage for this app--you can choose from many different options--and the daily data entries should be in order in the excel table, but they are randomly entered. I have to sort the data in the spreadsheet to correct this, but it's not a big issue, just annoying.

You can create apps without any coding knowledge. I have an existing database with GoogleSheet. I create an AppSheet app for my employee to view or make changes to the data in my spreadsheet. It is a simple process without coding and can be deployed instantly

The app I created must be run using the safari link to redirect to AppSheet app on iPhone. So your users have to run an address via Safari first to be redirected. Well, this is not a big deal though. I and my users still really enjoy using it.

I have product stock list on GoogleSheet and have multiple users. When you have over a thousand row, it is impossible to collaborate using GoogleSheet App in iPhone. I use this AppSheet to create an app for them to view and edit on the spreadsheet easier on-by-on entry via their smartphone.

It provides a great tool for checking out and checking in rental vehicles and ensuring that every detail is covered. It won't allow a renter to exit the procedure without answering all of the required answers. It allows for pictures so that I always have before and after shots which protects my company and the renter. I can use it for multiple purposes outside of check-out/check-ins as well to keep quality control on procedures and make sure that all of my fleet is cared for and maintained in accordance with procedures.

It could be difficult for someone not so great with spreadsheets. I have to handle the input, output, data changes, etc. myself. I have a small business, but fast paced so I like to leave my apps prepopulated for efficiency and I don't have anybody else on staff that can do it.

Reducing costs/expenses for damages not reported or found due to poor check in/check out procedures. This results in higher net profits. This also ensures that all of my vehicles are repaired and that the responsible party takes care of the expenses whether that is the renter or my company. Since the units are all consigned, it also ensures that all owners that their vehicles will always be returned to the condition in which they originally brought it to me. In short, quality control, safer equipment, happier owners, and happier renters are the end result.

Appsheet provided a great tool for developing a an app to do field reports and inspections uploading data straight to the cloud and automating documentation creation to fit our standards

AppSheet has some very limiting licenses where the "public app" license should still allow for users to sign in and have an admin tag for pages. it seems like a weird feature to leave out when you are a paying customer

appsheet allows for us to quickly fill out inspections and reports well organizing pictures and files taken in sequence for the report. it allows for automation in documentation creation and I think it is one of the best band for your buck solutions

It was very intuitive to use - really the main reason someone choose an app developer that's based on a UI.

UX is great. It's easy to find what you're looking for once you understand the parts that divide the app. For example, it took me a while to understand "BEHAVIOR" but once I was able to do it my apps became much more powerful.

I was very limited to the app template. I had to adapt my ideas to the options offered by the platform. It is not very flexible. Also, I am a user from Argentina. Although there is a wiki to use the platform, I found the instructional videos much more useful, and there are few videos in Spanish. Also, I think flexibility limitations may actually come from my poor knowledge of the app. The problem is that the sample templates and app that come by default are not good (I can do better!) I would like to see something like what Tableau does, which has a public dashboard library that I could never do with my current knowledge, but it allows me to understand what could be done, what is the actual power of the product.

I like that it is an easy to follow app creating app. We have used it in many ways, which includes time logs, and image logs, like that of sending people into the field to get exact locations for us and what these sites look like while they are there. It is easy to create your own questions and an easy way to have people answer questions on their phone.

It gets a little hard if people aren't constantly updating and saving their logs. If they don't do that when necessary, it makes it a little convoluted.

We use it mostly for time clocks. We also use it to get questions answered in specific locations, that way people do not forget to log the information and try to remember it later on. It makes it a little easier to get correct information especially when visiting multiple locations in the day.

I liked the idea of being able to build an app I could populate via Google Forms.

It did however seem to lack flavor when it came to customizing

I like the fact that small businesses want to transform from the traditional way of storing the data into this type of small application which involves no coding at all not only for easy maintenance and also for ease of use. When I used this platform to create an application I felt like I can simply create applications from the data present in excel or google sheets.

So wherever there is an advantage there lies a disadvantage too, talking about creating apps with a single click from google sheets but customization is limited we can't even add icons to the screen we have to make use of available icons in a certain template that i didn't like.

Appsheet is solving the problems for small-scale businesses who want to move from traditional to online and also not like huge dependant and time taking application development. It's just like come and go kind of development that takes very less time.

The issue of pricing per unique user not total users per licence. You have to pay more for your app to sync faster if it's complex when the customers experience is completely compromised. Improve the sync process for premiun package as the customers are not paying more . The competition is on open source code developers they dont pay much

Appsheet allows user to provide their data to build applications. Also, AppSheet provides pre-created templates for users to use.

AppSheet should have an option for the users to edit or customize some of their information if they wish to.

The patterns implemented for rapid development are outstanding. Responsiveness is excellent for desktop and mobile devices, without any coding necessary.

Bots and workflows are terrible. They are strongly tied to a single table or slice; therefore, something as basic as a scheduled event depends on one particular table or view and must loop through all the records repeating the processes and tasks for each record. There is no good way to decouple the time scheduled event from a particular table or view and its records. Because the data is not stored close to the server application, the app speed is less than optimal. Repeated syncing is necessary. Syncing is slow and sometimes becomes unresponsive. Charts need a lot of improvement as they do not offer standard drill-down functionality and filtering. Each chart is tied to one specific table or view; therefore, the dashboard functionality is cumbersome to configure. I've had to move the Bot functionality out of the app, configuring it with our enterprise tooling (e.g., Microsoft Power Automate). I've also had to develop separate dashboards using Microsoft Power BI to provide robust reporting functionality. Tech Support is typical Google style: do it yourself; search the community help; figure it out. I've contacted them for the bot limitations I've encountered, and I end up in an endless asynchronous chat with people in India over weeks. The current case I'm working on with them has been going on for over two weeks, and we are getting nowhere.

It's a good tool for rapid prototyping. I've developed tools for order management, order dispatch, and inventory management thus far.
