They have a modern setup, their website is good. They are honest in their ads and their pricing. The do the sign up super cheap and then raise the price the next year since everyone does it, but it is not surprising or shady. It is relatively easy to get a domain, get hosting, get your Wordpress up and running. On thing that I really like about Blue Host is you can have unlimited domains attached to your hosting. Namecheap only allows 5 so Blue Host is a nice change from that.
Web hosting in general is hard, and support is sometimes hard to work with, but that is across the industry as a whole. Web hosting as a whole is hard to use, so things are hard to setup, it is easy to mess up, and there are so many options that finding instructions for your particular use case is hard. Bluehost also charges you for privacy shield, so your info gets exposed to scammers. I have gotten more phone calls since signing up for Bluehost than ever before.

You can accomplish a lot if your company or business has a lot of needs. And I mean, a LOT of needs. There is literally an option for everything and I know they're always trying to improve on their service- inclusiveness. It's great. I appreciate being able to access my webmail easily.
You can't do a single damn thing on here without clicking a hundred times through the options, everything is placed in a category and the organization is confusing. You could accidentally break your business site by opening the wrong thing. Drives me nuts. Also, logging in without doing it through webmail is tedious. The URL to login isn't something you can memorize, which isn't cool. The settings for admin of the mailbox is few, and a lot of it can't be automated.
Client and I use it to admin wordpress and other things to their business site. It gets the job done, and the domain pricing isn't too shabby, but it's definitely hard on the eyes and not something you can just "hop in" and do.

Just like the reviews on here, I wonder why some backgrounds have a positive experience while others do not? Could discrimination be at play or is this simply due to lack of training? Bluehost also put our websites at risk as someone who shared our server contracted a virus and shared it with every single website on that server including ours. They were unable to do anything about the virus and asked that we remove it ourselves. Bluehost may offer large discounts to new clients, but renewals are usually full price. This is a fine print item and can be missed by many people eager to get started.
Bluehost let us move our websites from individual hosting plans managed by a vendor into one single plan managed by us, which saved us a lot of money. Bluehost also has an easy interface that allowed us to learn more web hosting and cPanel.
It is easy to use and provides more options in the dashboard but it is very good for small project because it is low in cost and has a good tutorial to solve the problem and many developers are familiar with it so you will not encounter a problem that cannot be solved
With large and medium projects there are performance issues and usage limitations

There are things hidden in wording which you want to look out for. I received an email for a domain transfer to bluehost at a price. This email it is worded like this is the fee to register your domain with us. Thats not the case as the transfer fee is seperate, which if you are with a provider already you will save money by not transferring. If you're not with someone then it is a different story. I fell for this, and have gone back to my other provider, along with the point below for this reason.. When you register your domain with bluehost, you are told that there is a 1 year extension on renewal. For most people this would be thought of, as you get 2 years and pay for just the 1. Nope. You pay each year. The 1 year extension means very little, and is worded that way to make you think you're saving money.

I used IX through a customer a couple years ago. The interface was predictable, uptime pretty good and customer support was excellent for the issue we needed to solve.

Bluehost is a good value, and in many ways is convenient and easy to use, especially if you are setting up a WordPress site, which seems to be their primary focus.
If you aren't using WordPress, however, Bluehost can be incredibly frustrating. I've had many times where it's installed extra things on my site that I didn't want, and removing them can be a pain.

I really like their pricing, can’t really beat that. But other than that, there's really not much to like. Especially in the lower tier plans. I don't know about their higher plans, because their pricing for the higher tier plans isn't that competitive when compared to other companies.
Since they have switched me to new servers, my websites have been hacked twice. On two different accounts. And when I contacted their support about the malware problem that I face, I automatically get transferred to their Sucuri.net partner, which has no idea about my account, all they want to do is upsell me something.

Not very cheap. Also the terminology was not easy to understand. You would have to be technically inclined to use this domain hosting service. It also takes longer than for the domain to load.
It was more business oriented. The support is top notch in Bluehost. You can chat or email them at anytime and you will have a faster response. This is not so for many other hosting services.

The email never works, it's always "server down". and to get anyone to actually help me build my website, I had to pay ALOT OF MONEY extra to MOJO marketplace.
It's my website, I've still hoping to get the benefits of it with an online presence
