We've been using BJ for as long as I've been with my company (2.5 years). Whether I'm in the office or working from home, I've had good success with the software. It keeps users engaged, generally does not require a lot of bandwidth, and is effective for a company the size of mine.
2 things-- one, the name. We've taken to calling it "BJ" in our office, and you can imagine the plays that gets. Secondly, I would like it if you could copy and paste from the chat room. It's really annoying to have to open up Microsoft Teams or Outlook to copy a URL someone should be able to post in the chat room.
We are spread out over 3 offices, plus 50 people that work from home. We cover 4 continents, and we've been lucky that we collaborate as well as we do on the Blue Jeans platform. I personally prefer it over Skype.
I love that there is an online component to BlueJeans that doesn't require me to download it resulting in a phone call with IT.
It is sometimes difficult to understand how to use all the different features on the website version of BlueJeans but this may be because I haven't used it more than 5 times.
I am able to have student meetings when students are not here on campus. I love this because it ensures that my case timeline continues to move forward so I am resolving cases in a timely manner and my supervisors are happy because cases are not taking too long to investigate and close out.
All my audio and videos calls gets scheduled through bluejeans and the service provided is highly appreciable.
Nothing as such..I liked all the features.
Multiple calls scheduled at the same time without any impact on the performance..
The easy way to get in touch with someone else no matter how far is
Maybe the updates disappoint me since have to be performed very often in my opinion
Video conferencing meetings to discuss important matters that help us to take the best decisions to solve them
The Outlook integration plug-in is invaluable. I love scheduling BlueJeans meetings directly through Outlook. Then, when I open BlueJeans, it shows all my Bluejeans meetings scheduled for the entire week. This feature, in and of itself, is a life changer. I love seeing remote team member's faces during our conference meetings. To me, it is just as useful as physically being in the same location. Additionally, we each take turns sharing our desktop or application. Speaking of which, the ability to share just the browser, a specific application, ...or often times when doing a demonstration of technical software implementations, my entire desktop, so team members can see the steps in their entirety. It is also a great feature to specify which camera, speakers and microphone I would like to use for the session, in case I grab the laptop from my docking station and go mobile.
I am seeing few issues with version, 2.10.263. The only thing that happens is during large group meetings, we nearly always speak at the same time to questions, because it is hard to tell who's facial expressions show they are about-to-speak with the small video windows.
We routinely have meetings with individuals on both sides of the country....and also with India. The problems we solve have no boundaries. It helps integrate our teams to such a degree that we no longer feel the need to travel as often to the remote locations. I feel as confident accomplishing my job via BlueJeans as I do when we sit together in a conference room for a week.
The customer support is excellent. We have experienced no problems.
We don't have anything we dislike with BlueJeans.
We can have a meeting with people who are at different sites.
I like the ease of use and the versatility of the software. I can use it on my computer or phone, participants can log on from their computers or dial in. We can use video as well and it's worked pretty well.
Honestly, nothing. I had been using Skype and it had issues related to both audio and video so BlueJeans was a major improvement.
Connecting with clients. I can now set up meetings with as many clients as I want and I have never run into issues.
The quality, convinience, usability, speed! Very very good!
Nothing at all. Well maybe recordings storage should be bigger
We have some remote employees and filials with those we need to talk reguilary. BlueJeans helps us very well! So communication with our customer.
BlueJeans is a solid video conferencing tool that generally has the same features as its free or similarly-priced competitors. I have particularly appreciated its ability to record meetings and store them indefinitely, which I've use to create webinars that can be shared later, conduct research interviews that I've then had transcribed, and catch colleagues up on missed meetings. I frequently use Bluejeans for international meetings, and have not had difficulty with audio/video quality except what I assume comes from difficult internet or computer settings from individual participants.
No complaints... but I also get Bluejeans from my university (UPenn) rather than paying for it myself. I don't know if I would pay for this service when there are many free alternatives unless I needed the recording feature for research purposes.
See above: recordings
Convenient and stable to start a meeting anytime.
We have BlueJeans room system, the microphone system is too sensitive, it also picks up cough to override teacher's voice. But, from practical point of view, sounds unavoidable.
BlueJeans platform is so flexible to support any size of online students. I just bring up the system and don't have to worry about when and how many students join the class.
I love BlueJeans because it makes it easier for my clients to come together from across the US at the same time
On occasion the connectivity is poor, but otherwise, no!
Being able to converse with unit leaders (in my organization) from around the US/ world
While I was associated with Capgemini I came across this application to use it on a daily basis to schedule the scrum calls. It is the best application I should say when it comes to scheduling calls be it audio or video. You can use it via headphones or a VOIP or your own personal phone too. It has that kind of flexibility. And the best part is even with less bandwidth of network it runs smoothly. I would highly recommend using this software for any official meetings. Even the video clarity is too good.
I guess I have nothing to dislike about this app, maybe they can enhance their chatting feasibility.
If at any cost we need to schedule a call to discuss any business issues with the clients I guess Bluejeans is the best app. And the best part is I have hardly faced any network turbulence unless the bandwidth is simply not there.
easy to use. the link in the email automatically synced to my calendar.
there wasn't anything that I disliked about this product
dependable remote collaboration
Easy to use and lot of options. Can have multiple meetings rooms
I wish there could be a closed door meeting where they have to knock or get permission to enter into a meeting.
1. Video conference 2. File transfers during the meeting 3. Transferring the audio to my cell and walk away from the desk 4. Use it on my phone where ever I might be
The best thing about it is the simplicity of the chatroom: click a link, view in browser, meeting done!
I dislike that when someone isn't projecting a video that when they speak, the big grey box becomes front and center. I would prefer that if someone is not using video that they do not appear there.
Interviews, webinars, mainly. It's such an easy to use platform. Our office also uses it for Video Conferencing between office rooms.
Administrative control and transparency into the inner-workings of video/audio calls is bar none.
There are very few things one can dislike about BlueJeans.
Full HIPPA compliance.
The technology is simple to learn. Once downloaded we were able to schedule our first meeting within an hour. Additionally, the technical support team is super helpful. We had a problem with guest logging in and tech support replied immediately. We even had conversations after mid-night (eastern standard time).
I would like to create banners that can be used during the broadcast. After the broadcast, it would be great if an audio file and transcript could be automatically created. Being able to create a banner allows us to have a more professional looking video for replay. It also allows me to highlight important messages and thems.
The ability to bring our team together and share in a virtual space. This helps with sharing information and as well and creating a recorded file for the archives. Being able to record the video allows us to share the video at a later date with other teammates. We are able to go back and look at archives to clarify points.
Blue Jeans is really easy to understand and to use. It allows you to create meetings in different time zones, to avoid misunderstandings. You can set the conference so the attendants can speak without the host or not. With the last update, entering in a call is faster, at least if you have the link.
If you don't create meetings frequently and don't select the options for everyone to speak without you, it can be an inconvenience. This set up should be more visible, I've had to change links more than once because the one that sent the invite wasn't connected and didn't set it up properly.
It works really good most of the times, I use it for work and I have at least 1 call per day through it. It allows you to speak with anyone around the world and create a closer connection. You can have 1-1 meetings or conference calls with many users and it still works great.
I like the simplicity of the tool, when I do share the BJ link to anyone who is not familiar with tool so far, I do not need to explain how it works, everything is clear intuitively!
BJ add-in sometimes is unreasonably disabled on my outlook and it requires re-install.
I am on daily basis speaking with my team in Europe by video from different locations and external partners across all over the world! And that is great!!!
This is a powerful, flexible tool. The ability to SEE as well as hear the others on the call is a vast improvement over the typical "audio only" conference call. And screen share is fantastic.
On occasion, with the latest PC version, the meetings don't sync up correctly.
This platform makes everyone feel as if they're in the same room....even though they're sometimes thousands of miles apart.
