"It gets the job done, but it's clunky and lacks features."
What do you like best about BrightTALK?

Using our content management app (Uberflip), we can embed webinars on our website easily.

What do you dislike about BrightTALK?

Lack of support, lack of features, technical issues with syncing leads, customer complaints about setting up an account then getting tons of emails.

What problems is BrightTALK solving and how is that benefiting you?

Webinars are our #2 source of incoming leads, so a platform to host them is essential.

"Don't waste your time, money and emotions."
What do you like best about BrightTALK?

Platform for webinars in cyber security.

What do you dislike about BrightTALK?

Everything. The service, the product is really buggy and hard to use. The BT team tries to squeeze more money out of you after getting paid a premium. The integrations took half year to work properly. Can't launch a campaign because they want more money for better targeting, after you paid for it already.

What problems is BrightTALK solving and how is that benefiting you?

Nothing, use Zoom and upload to your website / youtube for the same results at a fraction of the price.

"Disappointing issues"
What do you like best about BrightTALK?

Their customer success manager did try to help us when we had issues (thanks Trish!).

What do you dislike about BrightTALK?

Unfortunately, there are several things that I am unhappy with. We had multiple issues with the integration to HubSpot, where some contacts data either didn't come through partially or at all. We also had bad experience with their lead generation package, as leads from BT were of significatnly worse quality then what we could aquire by promoting the webianrs via LinkedIn, which resulted in MQL costs 3x as high. We had further issues that during onboarding some aspects of how the platform work (ie. people can too easily register by accident to a webinar, even though someone is marked as having "viewed" a webinar this may not be the case and viewing duration should be used for lead qualificaiton) led to lots of frustration from the sales team, who would call people who did not even remember registering.

What problems is BrightTALK solving and how is that benefiting you?

We wanted to use Brighttalk to increase our lead generation. We did achieve this, but the lead quality is very low and not worth the investment. As a platform, there are way too many issues with it.

"Broadcast Platform & Not Engagement Platform"
What do you like best about BrightTALK?

Easy to use and provide demo but the limited features definitely allow for simplicity of the platform

What do you dislike about BrightTALK?

- No interaction between audience and presenters - Inflexible - No further engagement - No visibility for resources - Too many emails from BrightTalk is irritating - Broadcast platform & not interactive

What problems is BrightTALK solving and how is that benefiting you?

Engaging with our target audience Mostly organic engagement driven through our own efforts. We;ve faced a lot of limitations from BrightTalk and it refelects badly on us to be using this type of platform considering we're a technology company. The Brighttalk features are very very ancient!

"Outdated platform that hasn't evolved with modern marketing"
What do you like best about BrightTALK?

Our relationship with our account rep Hannah, who did everything in her power to find ways to help us find some form of success on the platform. She was incredible. They responded to my initial review which I appreciate and have softened some of the language below.

What do you dislike about BrightTALK?

Onboarding experience was rough around the edges and integration isn't super user friendly. 1. HubSpot integration requires you to manually map every field. 2. You can't push data to BrightTALK. This means you have to use their form for sign up which means: 3. You have to send people to a page hosted on their website. The other option is hosting their form on your own site, but there is no code customization. Both options result in you losing user-level tracking and an inability to track events and goals in Google Analytics. Essentially, you're losing tracking on the effectiveness of your entire webinar program. 4. This also means that they're providing information to BrightTALK, so not only are they going to hear from us, they're going to get emails from their marketing team about other unrelated webinars. 5. Despite selling us the natural fit of their audience, registration numbers were incredibly low. They tried to compensate by giving us 4 premium, mock-live webinars. We tried that once and got 5 signups, one was me, one was a BrightTALK employee. It wasn't even worth the effort to get it live. **UPDATE: They responded to this bullet claiming they got us 50 free leads. I went back to check on the quality and I counted 3 that resembled anything remotely close to our target market. Others included companies like XYZ, Personal, Test, Withheld and a competitor. 7. After all of this and constant back and forth, we decided it wasn't worth the effort to continue using their platform, despite the fact that we had 6 months left on our contract. After informing them of our decision, they responded claiming we have had 28 views on a webinar in 6 months. Half of those views were from internal employees. **UPDATE: They have since followed up. While I don't agree with most of it, I appreciate the follow-up.

What problems is BrightTALK solving and how is that benefiting you?

None. We were trying to drive qualified leads to our webinar program, but that didn't work out.

"Platform crashed minutes before webinar due to BrightTalk technical issues"
What do you like best about BrightTALK?

Go to a different vendor. Unreliable platform.

What do you dislike about BrightTALK?

The platform had "technical issues" minutes before a webinar we had been planning for 6 weeks. They notified our company 3 minutes into the webinar that they were unable to fix the issue and that we would need to reschedule our webinar for later in the day. Further, you are required to login in order to subscribe to a webinar. Huge barrier to entry.

What problems is BrightTALK solving and how is that benefiting you?

We aren't solving any because the platform doesn't work.

What do you like best about BrightTALK?

I cannot provide any details about things I like about brighttalk, as we ran ONE webinar with them and they failed miserably.

What do you dislike about BrightTALK?

our company leveraged BrightTalk for a big Webinar we were hosting. We drove a ton of attendance to this webinar and AS IT WAS SET TO BEGIN, BrightTalk rescheduled it due to technical difficulties.

What problems is BrightTALK solving and how is that benefiting you?

None - they are costing us business.
