I love the ease of switching between social accounts and quickly customizing content for each channel. I also like that I can use it for free and still get the main functionality that I need (scheduling posts in advance, according to a schedule).
The free version does limit the number of accounts you can connect, so if you're hoping to use this for all of your social accounts (or on behalf of a client) you'll have to pay. But it's a fair exchange for the functionality you do get, and they can't give everything away for free!
Managing social media content, posting it regularly (and automatically) on a schedule.
Buffer is amazingly good and easy to implement, but the team are even more awesome. The company has an amazing approach to customer satisfaction over profits.
Absolutely nothing. why must I write 40 characters saying nothing?
We are an independent, bootstrapped, news site based in Cambodia. Buffer enables us to save a minimum of four person-hours a day and a ton of stress in distributing our news and feature stories rapidly to social networks. During our morning news roll our we are publishing one story every two minutes. 'Employing' buffer enables provides our editors with additional time to focus on other things during a stressful 30 minute period.
Ease of setup for each post and scheduling is no problem.
Honestly there is not a lot to dislike here.
Social Media Management
Unlike social media management software I used before, Buffer is extremely reliable. After scheduling my posts for social media, no technical issues would interfere in the way. Plus, if you have an international audience as I do, it gives you the luxury of posting on your social media at different time zones.
Facebook doesn't give you enough reach when posting Buffer posts. Buffer will need to find a solution for this issue.
We have automated social media, which engage more with our audience in much less time that we normally used to do.
You can set custom times for posting and just add your posts to the queue. Easy to use!
You can’t just schrdule one post multiple times, they’d have to be individually posted.
Saves time scheduling to different platforms and the analytics are in one place. Analytics are basic though.
On buffer, you are able to schedule all of your tweets by the hour/minute and date. You can post as many or as little scheduled tweets per day/week. And it makes actualizing your bigger social media picture easier.
The website only allows you to post certain kinds of photo file formats. Thus GIFs are hard to schedule. But regular JPegs are fine
We are actualizing our long term social media marketing goals by using Buffer for Twitter. The benefits are rooted in consistency and landing the voice we wish to portray
Buffer is incredibly user friendly. I loved the ease and support it provided.
I don’t recall any issues while using Buffer, so no dislikes!
It helped me be efficient in other areas by streamlining social posts ahead of time.
Absolutely the in-app/in-program button that allows you to schedule an RT. It's ridiculously easy and allows me to pace out my social content at the times I want it to be.
I don't have too many complaints. Quite happy with it!
Being able to consistently share content during times/days I'm out of office, allowing myself to test the success rates of different posting times and frequencies., etc.
