The Caspio system allowed a small number of staff and volunteers to create an extensive data management system for our K-8 public charter school. We were able to create - from scratch -- an entire public-facing online student registration system as well as an internal data management solution that allows us to track student demographics, health information, behavioral needs, and much much more. Caspio is now the core service upon which our entire school operates.
From time to time we have had to create some code to achieve some advance functions that were helpful to our system. The online documentation is very helpful, but more so, the Caspio support team has gone above and beyond to help us achieve our goals.
Overall data management for a K-8 public school with more than 350 students and 50 staff. Caspio has allowed us to create multiple systems including student registration, classroom management tools, reports and more that now drive the day to day functioning of the school.
Its easy to understand and help guides can be found in Caspio's website. Building the database structure is quite easy to design and construct. Some competitors are doing this kind of system already but our company will stick with Caspio.
Since it is low code platform, all you need is a little bit of study and watching the examples will get you through it. The java scripting is a little bit of hassle as I am not familiar with some scripting but using Caspio support things can be easier if the logic you want are resolved.
We are solving a code that is re-usable and can be deployed in any web page. This is important for our organization as we use different kind of solution to solve day to day issues. This can be either a user from withinh the organization or our customers. Faster time to deploy your app is also essential as customers require faster solutions.
Caspio is easy to use and does not require people with technical expertise to create a robust web application very quickly.
The standard form design is a bit basic and dusty (though it is easily customizable if you have someone who can code it for you).
We created healthcare applications and were able to ensure HIPAA compliance with ease.
It is easy deploying web pages. It is simple.
Some of the additional coding and rules could be easier.
Creating work sheets and reports.
The user interface is very easy to use and you can a very functional application up and running in just minutes. I also love that Caspio offers a highly secure and HIPAA compliant option.
Customizations beyond whats buikt into the interface can be tricky, but not impossible to develop.
We are using it to manage our information in allaspects of our organization. We have front facing and back of house tools that are easy to customoze and very relable helping us to be very efficeint and effective.
• Accessible to anyone who can line up a couple of logical operations in a spreadsheet. • Extensive knowledge bases and tutorial video collection. • Reliable and capable. • High levels of security are available. • Servers in key geographical locations, including Canada. • Good customer service and support.
Caspio is costly, and the minimum commitment is 12 months, which can be problematic in some cases.
In response to COVID-19 screening requirement, we had to develop a Workforce health monitoring and management app. Being at the early stage of the pandemic, the only few apps that were available on the market were not meeting our specific needs. We then decided to develop our in-house solution. We needed the ability to create a relatively complex solution within only a few days ahead of us. With strict requirements imposed by federal and provincial personal information privacy legislation (Canada), the list of contenders was very short. Caspio was then selected as the most viable option. Not the cheapest, but the most flexible and "customizable". After one week, with some basic knowledge, we managed to roll out the first version of the app, which has now been used daily by more than 4200 workers. Caspio team members provided me with guidance and expertise when I needed it. The customer service is responsive and efficient. Their platform is simple, efficient, and reliable.
Creating tables with versatile data types. Possibility for quick datapages. I like everything abt caspio. Although I didn't get time to do much but it's amazing
I want to know how to raise a ticket. Also I will have to be highly xpert in using caspio to be able to judge it's down sides. My experience until now is amazing
We have developed many databases Our data is now we'll organized. We are confident in submitting data to ministry bcz we have organized our data more accurately with caspio. We are able to centralize systems for data collection & management. All our process which were manual & prone to errors & less productivity have now been converted through caspio to Systems that are significantly automated.
For years, I was looking for a modernized, tricked out version of Microsoft Access and now have found it with Caspio. It is based on an Access-like table framework. Love the low-code, no-code features, love the YouTube library and live sessions with Ned, love the templates, love the fact that we're not limited to a number of lines (like Kintone), and love that we can make the app and its dashboards look beautiful and pleasing to the eye. I love that my Managers, as they become more familiar with the tool, will be able to change wording without a developer. Love the speed with which we can create apps and the speed with which we can make changes. After literally years of trying different platforms to customize grants monitoring software to each client, we found Caspio and so far are very happy.
It is a bit more complicated than I anticipated, but that level of complexity provides us more features and opportunities for customization. So we can live with the complexity. We still use Caspio developers, but the cost overall is much less than developing coding from scratch.
We have automated our grants monitoring processes to a greater idea as well as adopted Caspio for HR, marketing, and knowledge base apps. Benefits are far greater visibility on the status of monitoring reviews and statistics regarding individual Monitor performance, time spent, number of reviews outstanding. Dashboards to analyze findings are immensely helpful
Simple and intuitive to get started creating applications Advanced features allow you to create some complex workflows Unlike proprietary off-the-shelf software (eg Salesforce usig APEX) Caspio uses commonly use languages such as HTML, CSS, SQL and JScript Great online tutorials on YouTube (although some are dated) All in one platform brings everything together (development, hosting etc) Our client data is now completely centralised, Caspio has eliminated many of the home-grown systems (spreadsheets etc) Positive feedback and satisfaction from end users
SMS is only supported in the US (we are based in EU) Would like to see better change controls and tracking during app modification.(e.g Change Logs) When creating multiple applications I would like to see some Global Parameters When sharing tables with other applications, the table relationship screen can become messy and dificult to manage While you can create Apps with no code, a little knowledge of HTML, CSS, SQL and JScript is a distict advantage
We were able to create applications that meet our business specific requirements We had previously used Saleforce an off the shelf CRM which was difficult to shape to our requirements and expensive not inuative for a developer. We now have a unified workforce and have broken down silos, it has changed the company culture for the best End users dont have to be tech savvy to use the applications built on Caspio
Straightforward to implement without needing an entire coding team. Sometimes in the documentation, it can be challenging to decipher how something works, but the forums have been great for finding ideas and solutions. The support team has been responsive and helpful whenever needed.
If you are used to coding, the no code solutions can sometimes be cumbersome to figure out. There are definitely times where I wish I could just write the SQL query or other code instead of using the GUI.
We use Caspio to automate Excel sheets that were passed around internally and also externally. It was straightforward to implement on our own, and we have continued to add more complex features as needed, like email alerts, sharing documents, logging changes, and passing updates back to our ERP
The support is amazing and probably the best yet by any company
I cannot think of anything I dislike about Caspio
we are setting up a company to put payroll data on so that the employees can access their own data, so far it is going very well
It was fairly easy to get started on a basic database with simple search functions, but it also offers far more customizable options if you're willing to wade into those waters.
Once you move beyond the most basic set up, I found the learning curve got much steeper. If I wasn't working from someone else's template, I had a hard time implementing more advanced functions (such as those using parameters and creating linked apps). It involved a lot of trial and error.
It is fantastic for us to be able to embed access to a fully functioning database on our website with out having a database administrator or other programmer around. We can just throw an Excel spreadsheet into Caspio and literally minutes later have something we know will work and that can be painlessly updated.
I helped implement Caspio as a solution in my agency nearly four years ago to meet a single simple need. Since then, usage of Caspio has increased to nearly 20 applications and several more concepts awaiting time and approval to implement. One of the greatest components of Caspio is the very simple learning curve. As a non-programmer, I was able to stand up a web application in hours instead of weeks or months.
My biggest complaint is the authentication piece. If a user is not an admin for the instance, they have additional steps to log in.
We frequently have the need to publish searchable data. Our preferred method has tremendous cost that cannot be accommodated without a revenue stream. Caspio provided a low cost alternative. With the increased usage, we have realized significant savings over the other options.
Caspio is easy to learn and use - even for a novice like me!
Documentation isn't as easy to find as I'd like.
Caspio makes it easy for non-programmers and those with a minimal understanding of database concepts to manipulate and display data for our newspaper readers.
Caspio is a relatively easy and quick way to build low-code applications that are accessible online. It enabled our company to go fully remote with no computer hardware to purchase or maintain. When we examined different tools to do this, Caspio came out above the others.
You have to take the no-code claim with a grain of salt. While creating a simple data entry screen with no code is possible, it is not practical to expect to create an application to serve your business without some Java script for data verification, formatting, etc.
We converted our legacy remote access server system and DBMS, which took years to develop and implement with Caspio in approximately 6-8 months. After a couple of months of working with the new Casio system, we could go fully remote and not renew our lease for office space. Our going fully remote was well before the pandemic, so we didn't have any of the issues many companies had.
It is HIPAA compliant and Caspio does all the monitoring for you.
Can't create a view from another view which is limiting
We are doing a lot of work from home so we don't need to be in the office if we utilize the CASPIO platform for some of your surveillance work.
Caspio allowed me to create websites from simple data manipulation to more complicated applications (mostly require SQL and Javascript codes). Anyone with basic knowledge or zero experience in web development can easily use Caspio. Caspio also offers short training, video tutorials, and samples,
For complicated applications, it's difficult to find solutions within Caspio's, you gotta dig deeper and create the solutions for yourself using javascript and SQL. Their support will only help you with the functionality within Caspio but they have a good community in their forum to help you and give you examples.
I get reporting requests on a day-to-day basis, Caspio has been helpful in that aspect. I also get benefits from creating much more complicated reports just by using Caspio's functionality alone with no code necessary.
Caspio is a web-based low-code development platform that helps with turning our ideas into custom applications at ease. We can automate our workflows, enable customer-specific notifications and generate detailed reports for our projects. This is effective as we work to pace up our SDLC, collaboration with teams and deliver the application within its time constraints. We can also add columns on a temporary basis while we require to generate specific reports and later we can remove them to uphold the previous records which are useful for our application testing & report analysis.
Although the documentation offered by Capsio is elaborate while starting fresh we need to spend time understanding the functionalities and how we can customize it to meet our application requirements. Apart from this learning curve, we can save a lot of time in building our database applications with various drag & drop features offered by Caspio.
We require a common utility to ingest all our customer data and build applications on top of it & Caspio facilitates this requirement perfectly. We have developed many applications to carry out a wide range of database administration for our business use cases. Its alert notification feature informs us about any anomalies in real-time as we have defined it in our automated workflow. It also gives us access controls over the addition & removal of users easily and we can efficiently create our database-centric applications to incorporate complex SQL statements and JavaScript codes with its drag & drop elements conveniently.
I like that with zero knowledge of any programming languages, you can create a fully functional app. I also like that you can deploy your projects in seconds.
There is nothing I dislike about Caspio. It has been very usefull and time-saving for us.
We use Caspio for different applications such as data gathering, reporting, payroll, budgeting, approval workflow. We were able to switch many processes from MS Excel to Caspio.
It is straightforward to use and personalize; you don't need coding experience to create forms and reports. It has helped us develop apps for over six different companies in half the time we had scheduled.
I think they could improve in the language section because if you want to have 1 form in 2 different languages, you need to create 2 forms, so it kind of takes time and resources, but other than that, it is pretty great.
We created health apps for different clients, saving them time in the generation of records and reports. We can create forms in just minutes and deploy them in less than a day.
