We have been running multiple Ecwid shops now both in Asia-Pacific and in UK/Europe for over ten years. We are mostly very happy with the features / service levels and support we get from Ecwid. The pricing also seems fair to us.
Ecwid is not as well known as some other eCommerce platforms/shopping carts. This means that there are not that many available integrations to other systems, softwares and platforms.
Ecwid provides the channel for our B2C sales. We serve consumers in Australia, New Zeland and UK through Ecwid. We also use the promotional features in Ecwid to increase sales (coupons, Apps, Google Advertising, etc...) Prior to Ecwid, we were using a small local shopping cart but this was unable to scale up to what we needed and thus we switched to Ecwid.
I was able to easily use it as a plug-in for my shop to allow customer payments to be processed through Square (who my business was already approved and running through)
I don't feel that it's the most modern in terms of setup tool.
It allows my store to run Square for credit card processing online.
The simplicity of adding products and managing orders. This makes my life much easier.
The only downside I can think of, is that setting up the tax can be a little complicated.
Ecwid allows me to sell my products online easily and quickly. Most functions are very simple to use but very effective.
I really like that Ecwid is available anytime I have a question, day or night. I also really like they offer several courses and tutorials on how to help my business succeed.
The only downside with using Ecwid is that it took me a while to grasp how to utilize everything to it's full advantage. I don't have everything down just yet, but I know how to use everything I need to run my business on a day to day basis after watching the tutorials.
Ecwid makes it super easy and convenient to display all of my products for sale, including how to best advertise my business online. I love that Ecwid offers website templates that make my website look sleek and personalized at the same time. It's also super convenient that I can modify and make changes when I want.
Ecwid allows you to scale according to your timeline and needs. The free plan offers great features and allows you to get your business off the ground, and their paid options expand that capability. Highly recommended!
It can be a bit difficult to get your mind around the workflows and processes, and some of the customization features are buried a bit. There are support articles for all, though.
Ecwid is allowing me to handle my business transactions through a central location, calculating tax, and helping me track my orders and inventory across multiple channels.
I love how easy it is to set up, as photos of any size, and lots of variables for products.

Great reports, amazing app to create promo codes and looks great on our website. We use this for our ecommerce products and for analytics . We were having issues previously from our other services
It's a bit boxed for some services we offer, which are investigation products, but I understand that most people do not sell these types of services.

The dashboard is very well created and also the many functions are perfect. So we can customize our store perfectly to our needs. We can also customize the design and it is responsive for mobile devices.
We can not do much with the reports, because the tax calculations are unfortunately not available. However, we can download the reports in excel format and use them.
Thanks to the good design we can offer a modern onlineshop to our customers. Sales are increasing due to good SEO management and marketing. These functions are available in the tool and fully integrated.
It is super-simple to embed a payment button. I also like the account interface as it's very clean, simple and intuitive. I also love the fast payment solution for customers. When you are selling online, it's important to make it as pain-free as possible for your customers and I think Ecwid has achieved that.
Sometimes the buttons on the website load a bit slow, it would be great if that could be improved upon.
Because we don't have a webshop on our website, we needed a fast payment solution where the customer can purchase our service in a few clicks without creating an account, etc. This speed is crucial. Also, I love the fact that they can choose from PayPal or Stripe.
My favorite feature is the ability to sell ebooks and other electronic products on the platform.
Ecwid is meant for folks who have multiple products to sell. Novices or those with smaller inventories may feel overwhelmed by the options on the site.
I use Ecwid to sell products for my coaching business. The benefit of being able to sell self-published ebooks and other electronic documents is valuable. Ecwid is allowing me to meet the needs of my clients by offering the types of products that my future clients need.
Ability to post products, descriptions and set prices easily. Fairly simple setup with main site web creator, Squarespace and payment processor, Stripe. Reporting strong. Customer service is stellar -- really helpful and responsive.
Integration with Freshbooks accounting not inherent. Real-time inventory/availability functionality wasn't a good fit for our service-based business (we rent equipment, not sell. Customers often were renting items that were not available.) Bespoke customization needed for customers to also book TIMES for services needed, not just dates.
We use Ecwid so customers can automatically book equipment rentals, pay for the booking (or a deposit), and provide important delivery information. Benefits are a 98% decrease in direct customer service calls - a huge plus with a small staff!
