Unintuitive search functions that make it complicated to find docs from the past.
Keeping track of jobs/estimates/projects. We can easily understand how we have evolved over the years by going back and seeing how these docs from the past compare to today's.
- Instant updates across all aspects of the job when new input is entered. - the ability to enter numerous different types of information in relation to the specific job. Eg. once the job is created, all the details are there for future reference for the tasked designer. Virtually hands off after that initial input. -
- sometimes 'clunky' navigation, especially trying to go back one step and having the previous page not how you left it. - no automated warnings when getting close to quoted hours
Keeping track of hours quoted, hours worked, money spent, money invoiced.
I love that whenever I don't know how to get the results I need out of FP, customer support is there for me!
I don't like how the How-To diagrams contain outdated pictures. It can be hard to follow.
Tracking all expenses against individual jobs is easy to do and pulling accurate reports has helped us to track profitability of each job/campaign better and easier than ever before.
I like that i can communicate on projects with the accounts team and upload files for them.
I hate that it limits me to 50 mb file size uploads. If anything id love to have a alternative option provided me to share larger files.
It has made keeping track of projects way more easier. I know what projects i need to get to and can see them all listed out. I dont lose track of projects.
Function Point has allowed our creative agency to be agile, stay on tasks, and keep many balls in the air at a time. It has compiled all the data we need to run a busy studio and allowed our team members to stay attuned to the task a hand without direct leadership throughout the day. Prior to having a CRM tool keeping up with tasks was difficult and often required extensive communication between team members. No we are a well oil machine of knowing who is doing what and when. My staff would cry if I took Function Point away from them as they live and breath it everyday to follow their assigned tasks and budgeted time per task.
Function Point is so robust that many of the functions and abilities are not always used in the day to day.
Staying organized is imperative to our business success and lost time and details can compromise client relationships and future work. Function Point ensures we do what we say we're going to do when we say we are going to do it.
Being able to track all ongoing projects; effectively build estimates and IOs in one place; and manage/oversee the number of hours per project
Having to input all of a new contact person's information prior to building out an estimate. Would prefer that this occurred in one step.
It has helped us better manage the number of hours we put towards one particular project; and therefore, stay on time and on budget.
Love the task function that allows all team members to have a easy to follow to-do list. Timesheets has also been very useful to our business because it easily tracks our billable time.
Some minor issues is that some of the fillable forms are hard to use

The logical structure of projects, jobs, and tasks, helps my team keep track of the many moving parts required to deliver campaigns over several weeks or months.
The user interface is a little clunky and it's difficult to use this tool for communication between team members. Better used for project management overall than also a communication tool.
Providing a complete project and job view across the agency's 6 teams for the first time. Keeping close track of quotes, invoices, and hours spent on projects. Standardizing project workflow and creating an easy historical reference for rework and reorders.
Easy to know exactly where you stand on a job or project
Reports can be a little hard to organize. Not as intuitive as they could be.
Budgeting, billing, efficiency, tracking, communications with clients and staff memebers
My favorite part about FP is how thorough it is in addressing all activities of my agency, my employees and my clients.
The user experience can be significantly improved. Sometimes things take 4-5 clicks when they should take 1-2. The time tracking for example is very clumsy.
