Compare Glide with other popular tools in the same category.
Ease of development. Rapid creation of MVP's.
Workflows are very limited. Lack of control of Design elements/Templates.
Glide is a quick and easy solution for MVP creation.
With Glide, you can get right into the logic without focusing on UI and design. The best thing about it is the flat learning curve that some features bring.
The components could be spiked a bit more and more emphasis should be put on native features like a QR code scanner & co.
With Glide, we were able to completely clear our manual processes and gradually automate them completely across all points. Our customers and our employees benefit from a very short processing time of their requests and can always rely on professional processes.
Glide is one of my favorite "no-code" app builder tools. I've tried many similar platforms, but Glide always stood out because of the beautiful interface, advanced customizations, and helpful community. This platform used to keep me up all night because I thoroughly enjoyed building and prototyping with it; it also turned me into a pro with Google Sheets. It's genuinely a "beginner-friendly" tool at a reasonable price.
It's challenging to think about things I dislike about Glide. The team is quick, friendly, and constantly rolling out features and updates that resolve most issues.
Glide is helping me prototype a robust training app that completely tailors to the client's coaching style and keeping track of their clients. My client currently uses Google Sheets that they share with their clients, which is not user-friendly and looks unprofessional. Building with Glide will change the game for this client and set them apart from other coaches. With the web app I am building, the clients can have a portal that is easy to navigate and adds professionalism to the coach's brand.
Easy to use. greate support via documentation. great that they have templates. sometimes the computing is a bit slow
sometimes the computing is a bit slow. and some functions from airtable are not integratet. like views....
i am building a saas app.
Glide is great for individuals who don't know how to code. We utilize Glide with stakeholders who have never coded and their easy-to-use drop and drag features allow us to deploy quickly and onboard easily! We can onboard volunteers to help us out and they don't need coding experience
There isn't a whole lot I dislike about Glide Apps. I guess the only thing missing really is the ability to adjust colors more broadly across the platform. However, I hear this is a feature that is coming down the pipeline.
Glide is helping us be able to deploy beautiful software without the need to be a code writer. We've been able to build a beautiful app to help the LGBTQ community in Utah and allow individuals to find resources and support.
Glide allows you to build experiences from the ground up to test and implement novel ideas. Once you start to understand the logic of how the databases can interact, you start think about all of the problems that could be solved by this amazing tool. The system is powerful, but intuitive enough to allow you to test and bumble around as you learn to harness it's power.
The simplicity of the styling helps to get projects done quickly, but it would be great if there was a way to allow for more "design" customizations. I would also like to have a way to back-up my work and revert to an earlier date without having to clone the app each time.
With Glide I have been able to combine data sources and provide the ability for interaction to clients at various levels within an organization. I have been able to design tools that provide a single source of information that feels customized for each need. Additionally, being able to design an app that works both on desktop and mobile seamlessly has been a huge advantage for a one-man design shop.
Glide is very user-friendly, and intuitive. Helpful videos are made by Glide with instructions on how to use the different functionalities. The Glide community is very active and problems are resolved quickly.
It is not possible to publish apps to the app store using Glide. It remains difficult for new users to tell them it is an app but not downloadable on the app store but through a link.
I use Glide for a side project which does not generate income as of yet. Glide is not too expensive to keep up this hobby and gives potential to generate an income with this project in the future.
Building an app was not more straightforward than with Glide. You will be able to make solid and so looking good app in an eye's blink
Glide will be complete when you will be ableto have full automation are ability to generate document (pdf) then it will be complete
Building app for GNO management, audit etc..
While I've been in the software space for 12+ years managing teams to build products, the first time I wanted to build a product was during the COVID-19 crisis. As I don't know to code, this drove me to explore no-code options and Glide is by far the best for this purpose especially if you want to showcase important data in a meaningful way. Overall: - Speed of creating a new app - Ease of use and the thought put into the UI/UX - Seamless integration with Google Spreadsheets - Scalability Here are the specific features I love: - Various style options (card, grid, list, and table views) so that we can showcase data in different ways based on the context - Great range of media options (map, image, audio, video) - Web Embed (so that we can embed other web assets)
I've not come across anything I particularly dislike. However, one thing I'd love to see - and I know it will come as Glide evolves is more functionality for advanced pro users to build even more powerful apps.
I use Glide primarily for social impact work: - ElectionPromises.in - The only platform in India to view and compare promises made by political parties across the country. Using Glide, it was easy to take the data from a simple spreadsheet and translate it into a meaningful web platform for people to view important data. During our state elections, we had over 12 million visitors view this data to make the important voting decision. COVID Efforts: - IndiaShied - A 24x7 emergency response platform with important resources we created during COVID - NGODatabase - Another COVID resource for people to find NGOs that offer support
You can build a model of the app you want to develop within a few days. But Glide is more than that. You can build a fully-operational app in no time. With Glide, you can make a complete ERP, a great Portal for your clients and a mobile app for all users. And all apps are running on the same Tables. So you gain in simplicity, efficiency and speed. You can also fully automate most of your business processes. You almost move towards ubiquity for the users. Airtable is an excellent tool for managers in large organizations; Glide is a fantastic tool for a start-up that wants to disrupt its market; Glide is the future of management tools.
Glide's team lacks ambition. Glide is more than a fun tool to mimic the CRMs, Project Management tools, Inventories etc... There are plenty of useless apps in the market for that sort of specific tool. With Glide, you can do everything, not more, not less. Glide's team needs the world to know that.
Glide is evolving very rapidly. For me, the possibility of importing Excel sheets was precious. A real Calendar was useful. Glide's Pages more flexible for smartphones etc.
