Godaddy Hosting Reviews: 4.1/5 — Solid Choice
For website creation, hosting, or domain name purchasing, GoDaddy has long been a go-to for users. As a big-name provider, the platform currently manages over 75 million domains for 17 million customers around the world. Despite being a massive conglomerate, GoDaddy still provides low sign-up rates, which is why it is still a preferred platform by small to medium enterprises as well as blue-chip corporations. GoDaddy also offers high-value bonuses, such as WHOIS privacy protection, automatic renewal, unlimited bandwidth, and access to special offers and promos.

The support at Media Temple is some of the best that I have ever experienced. If I have any questions, they are quick to help. Their WordPress hosting also makes it quick, cheap, and easy to setup WordPress with all of my favorites plugins.
Honestly, there is not much I dislike. Sometime the jargon can get a little confusing in the admin console, but other than that, it's pretty awesome.
Media Temple WordPress Hosting allows us to quickly and easily publish WordPress websites for our clients. In just a few clicks, I can have a brand new instance of WordPress up and running, saving us from at least an hour of time setting up the domain, hosting, and MySQL databases.
I have been using godaddy hosting from years and I have never faced any of technical difficulties. My website is live all the time and I love it.
I really don't like godaddy dashboard if only they could make it more user-friendly.
I have my church website live and it remains live on godaddy web hosting with no difficulties.
The main hosting control panel makes it very easy for me to check the status of many different elements in my hosting plan. I can add and edit MySQL databases for web forms and software installs, add subdomains, create new email addresses and much more. I also like that the IP address and other standard hosting information is along the left column. That makes it easy for me to access data to host domain registered outside of GoDaddy. I think the prices are also very good, which makes GoDaddy a great value web host.
GoDaddy isn't the fastest when it comes to page loading times. Since GoDaddy has many customers, it's very likely that we have to share our server with many other users. There will be times when other users produce a great deal of traffic or cause usage spikes in some way or another, which can greatly slow down our website's loading times. Though the customer support can be helpful, they can also take a long time to get a hold of sometimes.
GoDaddy gives us a solid platform for hosting our websites and single web pages for event registrations and promotions. Since we don't really have the need for the absolute fastest loading times, and don't have the budget to get the absolute best hosting package elsewhere, GoDaddy is a great fit for us in terms of services and budget. People that visit our web pages via GoDaddy usually have a positive experience and rarely complain about server issues.
GoDaddy comes with a great control panel that makes it easy to access email, upload you site files, and install add-ons. Also they have windows and linux-based servers and excellent 24/7 customer support.
The website builder isn't free so you have to pay for it and their prices are very expensive compared to other hosting providers.
I was able to host my online portfolio using Godaddy hosting and the process was easy starting from creating the account to installing WordPress which was very easy and didn't take time.
Their control panel is user-friendly and you can just setup you site in just a couple of minutes. Also they have many pricing options like pricing per visits or pricing per features.
I don't like their customer service as i had bad experience with them.
As a freelancer i have used their hosting plans for months and they got the best prices for people like me who are just starting out.
Delivers on exactly what it promises. Boasts very good up-time rates although I'm skeptical of the 99.9% they claim. It's straightforward to use if you know what you are doing and their support is actually very good. Works well if you also are integrated with the domain hosting and also makes it easier if you require technical support.
I find that for their basic hosting, they really segment their performance offerings to bleed you of a few extra bucks. They are up front about it and it is easy to change at any time. I also don't love their back-end interface but it's not really a deal breaker since you get used to it and it works fine. GoDaddy also likes to nickel and dime you with little addons and bombard you with free addons that trigger renewal notices. If you manage many projects, this is annoying but typical within the industry and also true for their competitors.
We use two different levels for two different tings. We have an economy linux hosting with CPanel for a basic website that performed just fine. We also use their deluxe windows server hosting for larger and more critical databases and programs.
Media Temple is a very good hosting service that is way better in customer service than GoDaddy. We moved to Media temple because of the poor customer service in GoDaddy. They are also reliable
There WordPress hosting service is not reliable. They will always push you to get your WordPress site into a dedicated server
Web site, portals, hosting, administration.
Honestly I loved the management console for Media Temple so much more than their competitors. I've hosted sites on a number of their competitors and it always seemed like they were just throwing the kitchen sink at you with a terrible interface that was difficult to understand. Not media temple. Their admin panel is thoughtful, clean and easy to navigate. It makes using their self-managed VPS solution absolutely painless.
Honestly not much. My only issue was that there were times on the shared host where I would have issues with another tenant causing problems. Switching over to a VPS solved this and then some.
For a number of years I was using Media Temple to host a number of client applications in the Film/Media space. These ranged from small sites with very little traffic to very busy commercial sites that had much higher bandwidth consumption needs. For both applications, media temple came through and performed perfectly for what was needed. If a system needed more resources, they were a simple click away.
First of all it offers the latest technology (they are always adding the new "best" technology) and you can easily install CMS's like Wordpress and Drupal. Along with robust plans for growth and business class email it is the best first hosting plan to get. The last major yes is their customer service is excellent. The customer service reps are extremely knowledgeable.
Biggest issue, it lacks Windows-based servers. VPS and dedicated server plans are expensive and there are a few capped features that are very annoying.
Trying to find an affordable host for a client who has never had a website/host.
Basically the USA region hosting I mostly like from GoDaddy. I had no international cards to purchase hosting that time, (when I was student at India), but using UPI I got my 1st hosting panel from godaddy. Without any hassle or complicated, I got a godaddy account successfully. So, this is the core things I do like most from godaddy.
Sometimes, hosting offer is ongoing at godaddy, but its restricted for specific country. And payments are also restricted for specific debit or credit cards. But rest of the things, I do appreciate. I suggest don't restrict for region please.
GoDaddy saved my money, If I say. Most cheapest and reliable hosting service. I was a wordpress developer, and I mostly ran my clients websites on godaddy. But the support system should be faster.
Apart from Domain Registration, it provides web hosting and website building. User Friendly
Customer support is very poor. very less customization options.
By providing more customized options. Good Customer support.
Its streamlined, very easy to use and easy to set up domains. Easy to see what is available vs what is not. It's super affordable and hands off!
The website builder portion that is an add-on is clunky and annoying to use, therefore we have had to integrate other tools and a different website builder to find success. As far as the hosting- it's very easy to link the go daddy hosting to our new builder.
It allowed us to purchase our website domain and operate our entire online epicenter for a low yearly fee
I have used GoDaddy several times. It;s easy to use with lots of functionality like easy install Wordpress, cpanel etc..
customer care - no proper support, earlier is was easy to talk over phone but now its hard to connect.
I have used lot of hosting provider like namecheap, hostinger etc. But before GoDaddy was my first choice because of their own plugin and help me to create website instantly without no- knowledge of coding
Easy to configure. Free 24x7 customer support. Good deals on domains.
Not a cloud first company. Difficult to change hosting plans.
As a freelance developer, I have purchased a deluxe hosting plan with GoDaddy that allows me to host multiple websites. While I acquire more clients, I can use the same hosting space to host new websites.
All the hosting requirements, accessories and support at one place unlike other only hosting providers. Very easy to integrate and start hosting.
It is very expensive and each feature is expensive compared to others.
The technical support we need to spend on resources for hosting is compensated here, time and money are saved.
I like that they provide security features such as SSL certificates and daily malware scans, competitive pricing and the one-click app installations.
Sometimes I feel that customer support responses times can be inconsistent (delays in resolving technical issues). Anyways the extensive online knowledge base is helpful enough for to resolve most situations I face.
Basically the user-friendly cPanel, one-click app installations, and a free domain with an annual plan.
Media Temple Hosting was a good choice based on competitive pricing, LOTS of hosting options (both shared and dedicated), and responsive technical support. I used Media Temple dedicated hosting for approximately 4 years.
My number one issue with the hosting was we had downtime detected nearly monthly for sometimes hours. Some of this was due to misconfigurations with our setup, while other times it was for no fault of our own.
Hosting for 3 websites with ample storage and ability to accommodate bursts of traffic. It is a relatively affordable option to solve our needs and we used their hosting for approximately 4 years.
The most highlighting feature of GoDaddy.com is its user-friendly interface. Whether you want to host a website, design a website, buy a domain or buy plug-ins for your website, GoDaddy is surely a go-to option.
GoDaddy is quite expensive when compared to other websites. No matter it is completely clean and the money is quite worthy. But for people who are experimenting and are wanting to build a new website, or are newbies, it is not as pocket friendly for them.
I myself built my company's portfolio website using the domains and hosting bought from GoDaddy. The payment procedure is very easy and error-free as well they sell their products in a neat way. The benefit that I got was that I was able to build my website on my own without the help of any other third-party applications apart from GoDaddy.
Godaddy Hosting offers a great uptime which is of about 99.97%. Along with this it offers a great page loading speed and it offers more than 125 one touch applications as well. The pricing of web hosting is comparable. Basic plan is great and offers great value as well. It is quite cheap and can be used basically by beginners. Other than that, other plans offers a great bandwidth (unlimited as well) which in comparison to its competitors are quite better as well.
Godaddy hosting have many plans but on the other hand, when we compares it to it's nearest competitors, it's not at all inexpensive as well. The basic plan also does not have all the features that one might expect which includes SSL certificate, backup, security, site migration, and more. Also, the renewal rates are way too high. The money back guarantee is not very much clear as well.
We have initially used Godaddy Hosting for many of our side projects, which needs web hosting services. It have nice cPanel, so it's easy to use and setup as well.
Redundancy of the server is good. The security is still an issue. Remote backup through microsoft services running on a dedicated windows server has too many breakages. Can be a bit better when it comes to backup power and reporting a hard shutdown in case of power issues.
Scalability of storage in the dedicated server and issues during migration of data from one server to another.
The events created from the plesk panel are FIFO. In case of failure of one event the server cannot be rebooted until the second event is complete
GoDaddy sells and provides many products and service like web hosting, aside from domain names, website builder, email, etc. So, it can be a one stop shop. Thus, if your hosting through them, domain names, and others are with them as well, managing your website and business tools would be very easy.
However, GoDaddy Hosting is absolutely expensive based on my experience. Hence, we did not continue our service with them after 3 months, especially after finding a better provider who can provide us domain name, web hosting and website builder for the price of 1. Save whenever you can!
GoDaddy Hosting is a big help for those who want to have a website or become visible online thru official business name. A website need many things including hosting, with GoDaddy is becomes less expensive than hosting your own website thru your own server. But, nevertheless, it is still more expensive than others, so often, like us, we had to depart and choose other provider after couple of months, which we really did.
The pricing is great. They have a lot of products that you can bundle together. Only had one experience with service going down, so pretty reliable.
Contacting them is painful (when you really need help). They also will always try to up-sell you.
website domains and email addresses. Consolidated all of our many domains with go daddy as well as our company email addresses.
Intuitive and easy to use backend with legitimate domains
needing to use WordPress or other e-commerce for the live website.
Registering domains and renewals are easy, as well as pointing sites to other platforms
The best thing I like about GoDaddy hosting is their customer support. If you have a problem, they are always willing to help you.
What I dislike most is that they do not offer out of the box support for Django built sites.
Building a one stop news source for everything that is interesting. GoDaddy provides the infrastructure to support my blog.
They have so many products, making it easy to add on what you need and keep it under one roof.
Sometimes costly for the service, but you're paying for convenience.
Reliable hosting service, decent UI for management.
Its easy to search and buy domain names via Godaddy, but Godaddy ui is not very friendly as compare to other competitiors I have used.
Difficult in understanding where is your DNS and how to manage multiple websites from the control panel.
Until I found bluehost for my wordpress website, i was using godaddy and was able to run wordpress website on it.
The visually of the website, the prices are afordable, the search is very convenient. gives me the option to sell my domain or to buy new domain. or to even buy from someone else
I don't particularly appreciate that they sell the price in a considerable discount but in reality it's not really a discount, makes me feel like someone is scamming me.
It gived me the option to buy or to sell a domain in a very comfortable way. before I could only buy it from a broker or an interior site like wix or shopify. but now I can buy straight from them.
You can rely on GoDaddy as its been in the market from long time which means your data will be secure. The tools available are great like C Panel and CMS management.
Sometimes the hosting can be slow even if you have business premium plan. The pricing is probably the highest the market for GoDaddy.
General website hosting needs. Domain management and CMS tools and backups.
