Easy to focus on campaigns elements that matters by centralised tools for building, testing and providing feedback as well as approvals. Easy for stakeholders to edit and format files. Emails sharing effectiveness, visibility and control.
I can't complain at all, it has never failed us.
Dynamic increase of visibility as well as engaging with our audience with dynamic polls. Effective in promoting new products with full royalty to our customers through email personalisation.
Automatic detection of HTML errors and suggestions for best practices.
The interface could get a bit confusing with so many features and functionalities.
One-stop testing for the emails we send to the clients. It's important because we represent major brands at work.
I use it's tracking code to get an in depth analysis of our audience to see how they are consuming our content. We also use it go make updates to existing emails so that we can be sure that our emails are displaying correctly across our clients. Also I like how it offers a very user friendly way to view emails across multiple platforms.
It's a great tool for an email marketer overall so nothing that I can say I dislike!
Has best practice tips. Great with showing live view of email tests. Very cost friendly.
The integration directly inside Salesforce is most helpful. One upside is that you can choose your email clients. Issues with accessibility, etc. are clearly flagged for review. There is a useful approval process for us to follow. We can even edit our email code in real time.
Sometimes the renders take a minute to load, and some may not load at all. Once inside Salesforce, I wish I didn't have to log in a second time to get into Litmus.
Litmus is solving our rendering problems. Without it, I would only be able to see how our emails render in my desktop and my mobile (only 2 of many possible email clients).
Being able to quickly check what your email looks like across a wide range of devices and browsers, even in dark mode, and being able to create a shortlist of your favourites.
It can sometimes be a little slow to update. And that isn't just the previews. I will often softly test my emails in Mailchimp first, because the browser view is slow to update in Litmus. The previews take quite a while of course, but I understand why.
Email clients display the same code so different. Litmus helps you to test them effectively and quickly compared to obviously looking at each one for real which would be totally impractical. You can then cater to as wide a range of devices as possible. The dark mode option has been especially helpful lately
I like how it normally gives me confidence that my emails will always render correctly to My targeted audiences. Also it's the best when it comes to giving tips on email design's and coding. It has an easy to use interface. Also Iike it's tracking code that normally gives insightful information.
It's such an amazing platform for testing and previewing emails,I have no dislike towards it.
It offers a user friendly way to view emails across multiple platforms.
User interface is clean and well-thought-out. Litmus has most of the email browsers you would ever want for testing, so it covers all of your bases there. I do like the folder sorting organization and it is easy to retrieve your past work or tests.
Often times the integration with Salesforce Marketing Cloud doesn't work for us. Setting up the integration can be a little pain at first. Often the authentication fails with the integration with no good troubleshooting offered.
We love LItmus for very "designed" emails. Emails that really are a departure from our normal email templates. We find design and accessibility issues before our users find them!
The capability to configure different mailboxes and devices - I can just optimise for the ones that my customers use the most.
Nothing really to dislike from Litmus!!!
We use this to test our email templates before sending it out to larger audiences - both promotions and transactional email. This helps us find issues where certain devices and mailbox clients cause issues.
I fins the different email client testing of the email design templates very useful. also, the spam score and image and link fixing is very useful and reliant before sending emails.
Nothing so far,i am using the basic version for a few months and it's very helpful.
Email marketing and email testing and quality check
I liked how easy it was to switch from email to email in the viewer mode. This makes it easy to view all of the emails within an email campaign for content/visual appearance more quickly. Also, the platform has the most comprehensive email viewing array I have ever seen within a testing environment!
Our team did not like the fact that we could not leave comments on the emails for each other to review unless we subscribed to the premium package, which was out of our price range. After some lengthy discussion with the Litmus representatives on being able to add the commenting feature, it was determined that these features could not be given a la carte. The Litmus team did come down on their original price but not enough for us to be able to pull the trigger.
We used the platform primarily to easily review the content and appearance of email campaigns that we would be sending out. This allows us to battle-test the email content that we are going to be using for programs launching for our business. Another benefit was the number of users that we were able to have within the platform - all the parties necessary at our company were able to have their own accounts and review our email chains.
litmus has a very user-friendly interface, which allows us to use it without major complications, since its design is quite simple. Another point in its favor is the fact that litmus has the functionality to preview the email that I am about to send to my clients, thus allowing me to properly optimize the visual part of the template, which is very useful if We wish to make modifications to our email templates to achieve a more professional result. It has a multiplatform design, which allows us to access the system from mobile and desktop devices.
The functionalities offered in the basic package are very limited, it would be interesting to see these measures relaxed a bit. Despite being designed in a multiplatform design, the mobile application is quite deficient, being necessary to use the desktop application in most cases to be able to carry out the operations we want, they should improve that since the mobile application for us is truly fundamental support
litmus It was used within my organization as a tool for the management and management of email marketing campaigns, obtaining favorable results after its use, thanks to the use of this system we were able to carry out medium and large-scale campaigns, increasing considerably traffic to our website.
Litmus helps supplement the capabilities of marketing automation by allowing you to preview email rendering in every major email client and also allows you to track engagement metrics marketing automation tools don't provide. Litmus provides a very secure platform that allows us to manage multiple users. The way data is displayed is very useful, I'm looking forward to experimenting with more of the features.
I'd like to see even more advanced email analytics beyond what we get now. We're paying a high price to use Litmus. Litmus should probably change their pricing options to better reflect what people are using. We're only using two of the features we're paying for and so the price is really the only thing we're not thrilled about.
Litmus does two primary jobs for us 1. Allows us to see what our emails will look like in each email client before we send them. 2. Allows us to measure advanced engagement metrics.
Rendering tests are very good and provide insight we need.
Support is less than helpful in most cases and won't help with rendering at all.
Rendering and refining our process to make it as efficient as possible.
The analytics that you get when you append your campaign with their tracking tool is invaluable. Also, that inbox tool is amazing, as always, and the html editor is undeniable.
If I want to integrate with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or use Litmus Proof, a tool for internal approvals/edits, it's over $1,000 per month. Not every company wants to spring for that, which makes taking full advantage of Litmus a bit of a hassle. My recommendation would be to allow more integrations at a lower tier, or charge $XX per month for each additional integrated tool.
We've solved a few issues, from how we look in the inbox to data on who is forwarding our emails, we've been able to glean a lot. Most of all, it's been the best html editor anyone could ask for. Not that you couldn't use something like Brackets, but this is so seamlessly integrated into the rest of the platform and its features, it can't be beat.
What I like about Litmus is the ability to test our emails in every major email client and builder in combination with snippets. If you're not an agency like us you could even use partials to make the building process even more quickly. It is possible as well to have your complete build, spamtesting and Q&A in Litmus. With Analytics it's possible to get helpful information about where your emails are opened and how your recipients engage with your emails. All this in a delightful clear interface.
What I dislike about Litmus is that in builder I don't get a prompt where I can choose in which email clients or different profile sets of email clients my html and css should be previewed. Instead of that it opens in all te clients I configured in settings which will cost me precious previews. Instead of making a tool with a lot of possibilities maybe it's and idea to make a plan for agencies which has their own workflows already and with a focus on unlimited previews in combinations with analytics for example.
Litmus helps us fixing rendering problems, but also reducing time of building an email because of snippets. This saves us a lot of time in building email templates, because most of the html and css is already written.
Litmus has very dynamic tools that go beyond the typical email builders. I like that we can edit using web code rather than just proprietary software design tools with drag into place functionality. Along with the code editing capabilities, we also have the option of activating templates that are mostly all great. There are templates for many needs from standard notification emails to event announcements.
Compared to the basic email builders, Litmus can be complicated if the user doesn't have much experience with web programming. Sometimes if we alter the core code of templates too much, that could negatively affect some email structure elements that could cause adverse effects that are particular to certain email clients.
We are able to bypass the limitations that are set by email building applications. Though many of those applications have customization and code editing capabilities, Litmus goes far beyond to give us greater control and visualization tools that help us stay on the right track. We don't have to spend as much time generating full email file previews. We can get quick previews of our email designs as we're editing them.
What I enjoy most about Litmus is the email tester. I love how it gives you tips to make your email better. example, adding in preview text.
I dislike the depth of stats that they provide with the email embed code. It doesn't show you what people click on, just how many people opened the email and the time they spent on the email
I send daily emails and one of the benefits of using litmus is that we can track how many people open our emails and there are other tools that help us build a better email.
Litmus makes marketing so much easier. It’s also a great tool to help you learn how to code emails.
The pricing for litmus is pretty high. It is very steep for a non-profit organization. Well worth it but still expensive.
We have been wanting to find a tool to really push out our program and events to not only the community but people a little farther from us. This has helped tremendously and helped us organize email marketing so much more.
