I love that this program is so user-friendly. It's straightforward and they have tons of helpful articles and videos for design inspiration.
I don't have one dislike! Both the paid and unpaid plans are great.
It's easy to keep clients up to do date with a visually appealing and engaging newsletter.
Easy to understand and use, many template options
the price for single campaigns is high meaning that it's better to pay for the monthly subscriptions
really good and free reporting
Mailchimp makes newsletters easy. I feel confident that if you never made a newsletter before, you could make a beautiful one in Mailchimp without help. Adding images is easy, linking photos and text is easy, and reorganizing is easy. I love that I can save different templates for different purposes. The analytics are clear and instant.
The in-app photo editing isn't the best, but it's not enough of an issue for me to consider it a real problem.
Mailchimp has turned a chore into a simple task. Creating the weekly newsletter takes less than 20 minutes, and it looks professional.
Most helpful about mailchimp is how easy/user-friendly it is to use. If you’re struggling with something, you can search pretty easily how to fix it.
Nothing I dislike about Mailchimp. Everything has been pretty user-friendly.
No problems, the benefits have been how easy it is to send your newsletter directly to the palm of people’s hands.
Mailchimp is really well designed for ease of navigation. Even with no prior experience I was able to find what I was looking for, edit campaigns and make changes, schedule newsletters and create the correct email lists. It find it helps with the productiveness and flow of my day because it keeps things simple and straightforward.
One of the downsides of using Mailchimp is your creative vision will be somewhat limited. There are multiple enewsletter templates to choose from but as far as I'm aware there's no way to custom-design every aspect of your campaign.
I'm still working on learning the optimum send times to increase campaign open rates, and I've realized that Mailchimp can calculate their best suggested send time to help. I've been choosing this option almost exclusively and so far the rates look good!
What I like best about Mailchimp are the variety of features that are available. They allow me to easily segment and target my emails to specific audiences. As a greeting card company my employer carried cards for a variety of occasions, including some that celebrated predominantly in certain regions. Additionally, we shipped worldwide and had customers on almost every continent. Being able to target those emails to specific regions gave our marketing a personal touch and resulted in increased web traffic and sales.
One thing I disliked about my experience with Mailchimp was integration. In my previous position, I had difficulty syncing Mailchimp with Magento and using the landing page builder. This may have been an issue on the developers end but at the time I was not able to get any clear instructions on how to resolve the issue.
Mailchimp enabled my company to better understand what kind of content our customers respond to as well as increase their product knowledge by informing them about new products and promotions. Using Mailchimp along helped us to significantly increase our web traffic as well as our sales. It also helped my company to be GDPR compliant.
Easy to use and create attractive emails. Very intuitive design.
Not really a dislike rather a wish that MailCjimp could handle more sophisticated marketing automation campaign types.
Email marketing pain Reliance on designers to craft attractive emails
I love everything about Mailchimp. Best way to reach out to email blast.
There's not much I hate. I would add more features but nothing too major.
Reaching out to our customers and informing them.
Mailchimp has tons of easy to use templates, can connect with other apps and software to help track your customers and reach out for a higher retention rate.
Some data gathered is not always very clear and possibly incorrect- for instance sometimes data will show a customer opened a campaign email more times than likely possible within one minute.
Mailchimp aided in raising customer retention by 10%. Still haven’t found anything out there easier to use for emailing coupons and keeping customers active.
I like that it creates really nice emails with minimal coding.
I dislike that some of the templates are hard to use.
I am able to make mobile friendly emails with an easy software.
Mail chimp is super affordable and effective. It's also very user-friendly. I've been using Mailchimp for the last 6 years and I don't see myself ever switching. Customer service is phenomenal as well. Anytime I have an issues, I can usually get someone on the phone real quick and the are so knowledgeable. I'm currently not using Mail chimp right now because my free lance contract had ended recently, so I wouldn't be able to upload a screen shot to show proof. However, all the clients I have worked with has been using Mail chimp.
There's nothing that I dislike about Mail chimp. It seems to be the perfect service in my opinion and they are heading in the right direction.
Automated campaigns are the BEST! All you have to do is create a series of newsletters, set it and forget it. It's that easy. I also really appreciate the easy resend button on mobile. When I send out a campaign, I usually wait about 24 hours to see how many people opened and clicked on the email. After 24 hours, there's a resend button to send the campaign to those who haven't opened the email. I usually get a good percentage of people who clicks on the email the second time it gets sent.
When I started a new role as a Marketing Manager for a fashion brand, the only thing within my new job that I had never done before was email marketing. That being said, when I started using Mailchimp, the platform helped me create so many stunning emails for the brand with ease. Although I was nervous to take this on, it was such an easy thing all thanks to Mailchimp. I love how easy it is to create different segments, review analytics, etc.
So far, I haven't found anything about it that I dislike!
I have so many different marketing segments I send emails to within Mailchimp. I have realized how easy it is to create different email flows quickly and simply.
Mailchimp is extremely user-friendly. Our agency uses Mailchimp for many of our clients' newsletters and email communications. We don't have to invest a ton of time training clients to build and share their newsletters anymore, thanks to Mailchimp! We can build our own templates within Mailchimp and show our clients how to update Headings and Body content and they can send themselves. Would highly recommend.
When building your own templates in Mailchimp, there are often glitches in the code when using the 'Duplicate' functionality. Through testing the emails we can usually pick this up before it's sent to the mailing list.
Mailchimp saves my team time because of the user-friendly experience. It's easy to train our clients to build out and send emails themselves. Any copy changes can be done by them as well, so it's a huge time saver for our business.
Ability to start small and at no cost while building your email database. It offers a cost effective solution to anyone no matter how large or small they are. Very user friendly and I prefer over the most well known Email Marketing tool out there. I have used for Non Profits to even Automotive dealerships. It works on all levels. Great product and can't wait to see what improvements they offer in the years to come.
Inability to edit HTML template on code site sometimes if a design is off or if I want to paste in my own HTML design
Getting news out to our email database quickly and easily without any time consuming work
The duplicate feature, as we send to multiple audiences at a time and our emails are often of the same style, it helps to make it much quicker
A/B testing is still quite clunky when trialling different content, I’ve had times when the Content has been duplicated when loading templates and it has led to additional work.
Capturing email data from 3rd parties and easily aggregating this in Mailchimp, their different data types allow us to import lots of data.
It's a very intuitive tool that is easy to train team members on.
There can be a disconnect between how things appear in the editor and how they look when they arrive in your inbox.
Internal newsletters, event sign ups.
I like how MailChimp is easy to update and change templates. You can keep the same template for consistancy or easily adjust.
I wish that the survey feature was easier to use and looked "cleaner" when sending an email.
We are using MailChimp as a touchpoint for customers that have fallen off or for cold leads. It's easy to see if they may be interested by how they react with the email.
I love how simple the interface is. Dragging and dropping content is so easy and almost anyone can figure out how to use it. The emails themselves look beautiful.
While MailChimp is wonderfully simple for new users to navigate, I wish there was the ability for more flexibility and customization as you get comfortable with the platform. I would love to have a larger selection of fonts. Things like custom forms would be amazing. While there are tons of opportunities for segmentation, getting people moved over to new segments can be complicated.
We use MailChimp to communicate with our families, donors, and volunteers. Creating regular communications systems is so much easier with MailChimp.
It's easy to use and create own email templates. It's easy to integrate in web platforms the subscribe options and build data base. I like the different options to add more email contacts in the created email lists.
They are still problems with the emails delivering. Often they are going in the spam folder. And is very annoying, when some contacts decide to report the email bulletin like a spam, although they have joined the email list by their own choice. The contacts are obligated to choose a reason why they decided to unsubscribe, but maybe they need to have more choices to select.
Mailchimp is helping me to save a lot of time and to measure the marketing results of my email campaigns by easy way.
The automations on this program mirror that of paid programs, often better
There is very little bad to say about the program itself
Easy automation, great list manangement
