Mass Mailings
I like that you have the option to send out free emails to mass audiences.
That after a certain amount of people you need to start paying, but it is a reasonable price.
I am able to reach return customers and suggest buying new products.
I like how easy it is to use and how great the product is...for free!
Hard to send a great looking email that stays out of gmail promotions.
Client email communications and promotional emails.
Easy of use, transparent pricing, simple
Mailchimp advertises on my advertisements...
Email campaigns. Seeing what customers give us bogus emails.
I love how simple Mailchimp is to use. The templates are simple and elegant allowing me to publish a newsletter quickly that looks professional, and has been tested to work across different email system. I also like how the analytics allow me to see who on my lists are engaging. We use this to prioritize sales follow-ups.
I find the lexicon that Mailchimp uses for Lists and Segments to be confusing. I also find that Intercom does a much better job is marketing automation based on user interactions. However, I run marketing for a B2B SaaS company and Intercom is specifically designed for B2B SaaS companies.
We use Mailchimp to publish our monthly newsletter, and then also manage ads targeted at the people on our mailing list.
MailChimp is the start-up/small business standard for building your email list and beginning email-based campaigns. The free version helps you hit the ground running and the various paid version grow along with whatever stage your business is at. I always recommend MailChimp to people because the tools are simple and there is so much built-in support/articles if you get stuck. They've been around for a long time and know their stuff! They're customer-first and user friendly!
If you have never created an email campaign or built your email audience before, you may feel intimidated by the options and terminology within MailChimp the first time. Uploading new lists can also be clunky if you have inconsistent user details, so try not to do a lot of manual uploads. In the new format, some of the buttons are hard to find/see because of the minimalist scheme but you get used to it.
In the early stages of product awareness or a new business, I want one place to collect emails and stay in touch with my audience to make marketing easier. MailChimp solves this. Even for solopreneurs who are managing every part of their small business, this tool minimizes small steps so that you can focus on the bigger parts of building a business.
Templates look good on all devices, great analytic platform and list control.
The software is sometimes unintuitive - templates vs campaigns... sending a campaign prompts me to create a template, which confuses me. I want the option to simple mass email my list a template with a click. Don't like how support isn't provided for free level.
Reaching potential clients with targeted emails has been a great benefit!
Everything is intuitive and the user interface has amazing design.
I don't know any real dislikes. I hate every time I click to send a campaign it asks me if I'm really ready.
Keeping customers engaged is really easy with email. It's non-intrusive, voluntary, and allows customer to see your message on their own time. People look forward to communication from and with the business and that is always a plus!
It gives you templates to use. Since I am new to email marketing, this helps me a lot.
There has not been anything that I dislike about this system.
I can reach more people. I use to have to send each email individually instead of blasting out.
Many professional features available for free. We use it for sending Email Marketing Campaign instead of Outlook
Nothing really. Sometimes it's hard to find the correct option online, but the help section is very comprehensive.
Email Marketing what used to go from Outlook. Automatic subscribe/unsubscribe from customers Easy way to segregate the Contact Database into different interest groups
I like that MailChimp's #1 goal is to enable companies to communicate - to customers or B to B. They are first about the communication, and then once you have grown, then they start charging you for the tool. They allow you to build your list.... get started.... communicate freely in the beginning when you have less investment for marketing. That is truly a platform that cares about what it brings to the table.
There is hardly anything I dislike. It is easy to build email templates. The only thing I might change is the ability for new updates to a template to be able to be pulled into the master template.
We are communicating with our small, but growing customer list as often as we'd like, and it doesn't cost us any money right now because our list is building. Once we reach a certain number, we will pay for MailChimp, but it is very affordable. If you are a small business using some other paid tool for a list of under 1000, switch to Mail Chimp NOW and increase your relevant communication with customers without additional investment. We are seeing results from email marketing.
The emails can be upgraded with texts and images for get the desired finishings, The help to get the rigth market and customers is a great and easy thing, The data form the previous purchases could be use to get more purchases The list of the do can be managed and get done in the primary order
My cellphone was too small and the view it gives wasnt the best and the screen didnt allow me to get the entire prestations at the moment needed for the rest everything was good
The do-list was managed to do the important things first and so on, The target from my small online shop got a large ammount of visits and got more sales with the edited emails
Being able to schedule emails ahead of time.
Wish there were more templates available.
We're able to track the most popular links our customers are clicking, and are able to adjust future newsletters to their interests.
I love the templates and how easy it is to build my newsletters
I wish there was an easier way to search through subscribers
I am able to create beautiful, customized newsletters with ease
It’s very easy to put together an email campaign quickly.
I have been using the platform for a few years and don’t have any dislikes.

This program is user friendly, quick to learn, effective in getting our emails to donors.
I don't dislike anything, but I feel like there is more than can be done with it than I have learned on my own.
Saves a lot of time once you get everything set up. Can do more frequent emails by setting it up once a month instead of having to go in every single day to create what you need.
MailChimp is a very helpful tool to keep branding throughout your company's departments and it gives great statics.
The image adjustment tool could be a little better.
We are able to have templates for all employees to use in there commutations with our members. This has also been a great branding tool.
We enjoy the freedom and ease of using the service free of charge since we are a small non-profit religious organization and it allows us to stream line our communications to our members.
Limited formats and design of newsletters.
The ability to send newsletters to our parents and track how many people have opened the emails. We are realizing how few parents open our emails and we are working on improving how often and the content of our emails.
