Easy to use and tools are great for those not tech savvy.
There is nothing wrong with this software.
I'm able to share my newsletter with more people.
It worked 70% of the time. I suppose that's a passing grade. The support team was also nice, I talked to them very often.
Constant problems with uploading lists. Constant problems with sending. Contacts would just vanish. Whenever I brought and issue to support they told me that the team was aware of the issue and was working on it.
When it worked it helped us send emails out to our users.
It was easy to use. You upload your address book, create an email campaign, and send it off.
At some point it became black listed by email servers. I would send out email campaigns and I'd check with recipients and most people would say they never received my email. It would not go into their Spam or Junk folder either. It was strange. Confirmed with a few other users, same issue. So I stopped using it.
Email marketing
Allows you to send emails out efficiently and in mass
Doesn't have much customizable features
Sending emails out
People know and trust the brand Mailchimp.
Very difficult to get high response rate for time spent.
That email marketing is not the right route for every audience.
This is a disaster of a program. Nothing has improved on the product in years while they spend millions on omni-channel campaigns. It is clumsy and painful to do the simplest things, like send an email to people on a list in the 13 New England States - you can only pick five states at a time.
Very little of this tool works. Here's a fun exercise - export your contacts and reimport them. Mailchimp will not only flag its own fields as unknown and give you an error, but also fail to import those contacts into a new group or segment. I'm on hour seven segmenting a list. This would have been done with HubSpot in 15 minutes.
I would like to send email with Mailchimp, but instead wonder if my employer is forcing me to use this in the hope that I'll quit my job. The support is slow and inadequate - no option to even pay extra for a phone call or expedited service.
I like that users have posted videos on Youtube explaining how to use MailChimp in great detail for various use cases. I like the reporting that it gives to you. It doesn't show forwards of the emails you have sent but you can recognize when they have been forwared.
It doesn't always deliver the emails. Tested several times with colleagues and they don't receive the emails. We tested with various external email addresses. Often times the emails will go to spam and if their are images they won't open up with email services like Thunderbird.
Trying to get newsletter out once every three months. Realized that the free version wasn't going to work so we reluctantly upgraded to a paid service.
It is easy for beginners to learn how to use it, other than that not great.
Customer service is really bad, try to reach out to them regarding a "blocked account" and I did not receive any feedback or solution through them.
Marketing automation for businesses
Ease of use The templates are easy to use and good for novices Also the integration is a good tool
customer service is some of the WORSE I have experienced NO PHONE Support LIMITED CHAT Support SUPER SLOW response to emails
We use to send newsletters, however we are changing
I like the export feature that we use to export contacts from our sales database, BASE, directly into MaiLChimp.
I dislike its user accessibility and how difficult it is to add and remove subscribers from various groups/lists.
I'm soliving the ability to email multiple clients worldwide with one blast. We've benefitted from the amount of people we are able to reach.
Easy drag and drop email setup, easy template creation, automations
Deliverability of emails fails, customer support is hit or miss, no pro rated payment when leaving
Communication and sales are the problem we solve. MailChimp has a free package that is beneficial to the new entrepreneur.
I really like that you can spam everyone to get your newsletter out
I don't like all the hopes you have to go through just to figure it out. I had to watch tutorials on YouTube how to use it. I'm pretty good at computers and figuring stuff out but I don't like this software
We where trying to give out our monthly newsletters to clients
There is nothing to like because they locked me out of the account. absolutely nothing!
spent hours putting in names and emails. Then they locked me out not even a warning to let me get my emails out of the system. I spent more than a half an hour trying to get into my account. I finally realized they must have locked me out. I cannot even email them because you have to pay them in order for them to receive your email. I would never recommend them ever! Buyer beware . I cannot take a screen shot of my account because i cannot log into it.
none they lock you out
I like that it shows the analytics and I enjoy the convenience of using it. I was not trained on using the product and was able to pick it up quite quickly.
It does not filter out bad contacts so it will still send to them unless you manually delete them
it is convenient and cheap
I like the reporting and tracking features.
I truly loathe the differences across email servers - particularly when using the code your own feature - there are always white spacer lines on some email clients and not others.
We are communicating with customers and offering promotions.
the easiness to use the app, UI/UX were amazing, but the result were not as satisfying
very spam-like, can be easily ignored by target audience.
mass email distribution
Easy to use service – good free tier. Easy to setup good looking email template.
Dishonest Billing – No pro-rate monthly. Billing system is designed to make it very hard to stop billing. The most obvious way to stop billing is to be charged again for Pay as you go. Pausing billing is only effective for one month, at which point billing restarts.
Good email marketing – however, when signed up for monthly service, you are only allowed to pause billing for one month. Upon pausing, the month that you paid for is no longer active. The most obvious way to stop billing is to switch to "Pay as you Go" which requires an additional charge and causes the service you paid for for the month to be inactive. Monthly service is no pro-rated and service becomes disabled. I have used and recommended Mailchimp for 10 years. I am very disapointed and disgusted that their billing software was programmed in this way. Please be very careful when signing up for monthly service if you intend to cancel EVER.
I like the drag and drop email templates. They are clean, mobile friendly, and easy to use.
The automation feature is extremely complicated and convoluted. It is also difficult to find help information for Mailchimp.
Email contact with customers. This tool makes it easy to reach everyone on your mailing list at once.
The interface is pretty easy to use and follow along.
MailChimp often reports a high delivery rate yet customers complain of not receiving emails.
I needed a list management system to email newsletters to my customers. I have not realized any benefits from MailChimp and I recommend switching to MailerLite.
I can't send a campaign because they are saying I have default text but I've already deleted all of the default text. I'm now stuck on "hold" waiting for someone in customer service to respond to the chat with no note on how long it will take them to respond, just that they are busy and will get to me eventually. Your customer service really sucks. Super frustrating
See above. Technical issues that are not actually there and then saying you'll provide customer service but not actually providing any. Awful.
I have no idea what this means. I'm trying to do an e-mail campaign so we are paying for Mail Chimp and they have technical bugs and their customer service sucks. I can't upload a scree shot becau
Their user interface was easy to use and set up.
After spending 2 hours getting a mail campaign together I launched it only to be told after the fact that it didn't meet their Acceptable Use Policy according to their automated computer system. I've asked several times how exactly this was the case and the only response has been canned e-mails with a link to their Use Policy. No actual answer and no way to reach a real person for help There are better options. I recommend using someone else. Total waste of an afternoon.
None, zip, nada.
It is easy to use. It is good for people that have modest needs.
It does not offer professional design services. It is a very basic program. It is had to customize and has a very basic design
I am looking for a great email marketing program and I am clear that it will increase my ROI.
The branding is about the best thing about Mailchimp.
As I'd used Mailchimp at a previous company and found it OK, I thought it'd be worth using again to save researching all the many alternatives. Unfortunately, despite having a list of opted-in customers who respond well to our emails, with a less than 3% bounce rate and less than 1% unsubscribe rate, Mailchimp decided that they didn't allow 'prospecting', even though the receivers were more than happy to receive and work with us. Therefore, I'd only recommend Mailchimp if you're looking to send out a fluffy newsletter to your local WI or book club - as Mailchimp aren't keen on businesses contributing to the economy and doing good work, as prospecting is so morally dreadful.
I've not realised any benefits as they wouldn't allow me to.
Great company when they started. I enjoyed their fast customer service in the day.
Customer service is based on a rule book. Look out Comcast, here comes MailChimp.
Use to be a great tool to communicate with customers and prospects.
Import of list was okay, templates were okay, all the setup was okay...
I imported a list of approx 1360 from valid customers thru our online auction portal. These customers ASKED to participate in our auctions and provided full contact details and even credit-card details so they could bid. I used this provided information when sending notices about upcoming auctions of the SAME TYPE as they participated in. Now since some have "opted-out" and some screamed "abuse" or "spam"... Mailchimp has suspended my account and refuses to talk to me. I informed them I could provide date/time/auction where each and everyone on the list registered and that it was a 100% vetted list... They didn't bother to ask the complainers "why" they opted out or "why" they thought my (1 time) email was SPAM or ABUSE. This is bad service on MailChimp and the fact that they have NO PHONE in which to communicate is also RIDICULOUS!!!
mass email to our auction subscribers to notify of upcoming auctions...
These guys are horrible. They don't care about the customer or anything about helping.
They can shut your email business down at their whim. They have a program to seek out fraud but it doesn't work. They are the worst customer service company ever.
How can anyone use a company for a vital part of their marketing that is only available by Email M-F 9am to 5PM? They are horrible.
What do I like best? Hum .. the logo I guess. Not much else anyrmore.
Customer service does not know their own terms and conditions but seem to make stuff up on the fly. Even after I sent the T&Cs back to them they still answered with something else.
They did not solve any problem but created one for us and wasted a lot of our time.
The forever free accounts - a great way for SMEs to get started with email marketing.
Not very easy to use if you have no experience of code at all. Many of our novice customers have broken their (MailChimp) templates and not understood how to fix them.
