Mailchimp has many modules, including contact management, email templates, image library, campaign management, direct connection (posting) to most social media, analytics and charts on campaign opens/clicks, full export capabilities, and is easy to maintain.
If you do any kind of regular eblasts (more than 2 a month) or have more than 500 contacts, it's necessary to use the premium version. But it's a good value for the money.
Thanks to direct connection with our fundraising software/CRM, we no longer have to download/upload email addresses. Plus, it takes care of email address updates, unsubscribes, and new subscribers. The paid version has a multitude of email templates, and it's easy to set up a campaign template from scratch. It makes our communications marketing robust and comprehensive.

The deliverability rate is higher than most of the other platforms in the market. Easy to set up. Easy and legible dashboard. Everything is where it should be. Campaign reports are great. Responsive support team.
Not a lot, really. The email templates already available are not very nice. Beautiful, sure. But not really good business formats. Automation could be difficult for new users or users who haven't already used similar software.
Bulk emails, periodic newsletters, transaction emails, marketing emails, email tracking, email automation, landing page builder, don't really require HTML coding and email deliverability.
Mailchimp offers more than just newsletters. We've been able to run our marketing websites from the same platform, which has helped to drive interest and signups.
As a small company, we wish Mailchimp's free plan was more generous in terms of the number of contacts we can add

Right now, there is nothing we don't like. Mailchimp continuously upgrades its site, making it more and more user-friendly. Compared to where they were a year ago, they're golden.

Intuit Mailchimp has a good interface and is relatively easy to use. It has the opportunity to design great looking emails. Creating and sending a campaign is pretty straightforward. Oh yeah... I love the analytics and data. It is so essential to use campaign data to evolve and grow constantly.
I really do wish that the pricing structure was more inexpensive. It really can get very pricy when sending big lists. It seems this is the case with most of Intuit's Mailchimp competitors also pricy.
Building a base of clients and potenial clients to utilize for growth and keep in contact with them for better relationship building which ultimately converts to more sales.
