The UI is generally very straightforward to use and easy to understand.
While board automations are designed to be buildable by as large a user base as possible, this creates limits around what they're capable of. Page performance is not always the best: some actions are slow to perform on the client side. Real-time board updates don't always kick in and a user may unintentionally update information based on stale data
It provides a common platform for all departments in our company to use for task management. This makes it simpler for us to cross-collaborate and keep a single source of truth.
I like the ability to create different boards and add "apps".
There is a lot to learn with the platform. It's not super beginner-friendly!
We use monday.com to help team collaboration and keep tasks organized and on track.
-It's highly customizable -includes a variety of templates -helps to keep everyone on the team organized and prepared -allows every active team member to view all tasks and progress, allowing the team to be proactive if there are tasks unattended to or to pass work down from one person to another -Modern UI
-Expensive -The 14-day free trial isn't long enough to get acclimated to all the aspects of the site -A live support chat would be helpful to navigate and ask questions regarding site, which can be complex and confusing -Speed and notifications -steep learning curve
-Successful teamwork -Helps with keeping everyone organized and on the same page, particularly progress wise -As a tool for educational and collaboration purposes -Reviewing the progress of a project from start to finish -Collaborate on projects with others -Sharing documents, opinions, managing licenses -Set up project boards quickly -logging of actions for traceability
Monday is a little bit no-frills which can be good and bad - on the positive side, it means it's easy to learn how to use and for anyone to jump in a look at a project!
Because it's a relatively simple project management platform, it can be harder to use for more complicated projects/sprints.
One thing that's really useful is the ability to have all of our employees submit tickets to Monday and keep track of their status
Lots of flexibility and cross-team capability; allows easy track
The large amount of features and customability makes the app hard to use and the tutorials are not very intuitive
Alignment and assignemnt of tasks across multiple teams; project management is easier and automated
Monday is a step above most other product management tools (or, if you're like us, a scrapped-together Google Sheet), especially if multiple teams across the organization are using it.
The interface is really dense and can be difficult to navigate, and the search function really isn't that useful: even searching for Monday boards by name sometimes yields no results.
We've used Monday to centralize our project management and task assignment/management for projects that involve multiple stakeholders, especially if they cross different teams.
I like that you can hold and organize a lot of information in one place. You can edit the statuses and deadlines to align with how your oganization functions. This is great for smaller organizations! You can easily tag people to keep up with updates and keep everything documented in one place for everyone to be able to reference when need be.
It is very slow. It can hold a lot of information, but the more information you are entering into Monday.com, the slower each board/group loads, and sometimes this makes my computer crash altogether. There are pretty frequent glitches where groups don't appear, and certain automations cannot be made in boards, and that can make the day to day pretty difficult.
Documentation, and mass reach out emails. The automations that you can create on each board are extremely helpful, if you ever need to reach out to dozens or hundreds of people at one time, without doing each one individually or manually. This is a huge time saver! You can also have everything documented in one place, which helps so much with internal communication, and keep track of progress of everything you or your team are working on.
I like how each board can be customized to fit the needs of each of our very different departments. The automation feature of Monday.com has also been super effective in sending emails out to multiple people at once.
When too many items are created within a board, Monday.com often runs extremely slow, inhibiting productivity. The lagging on boards when updating items is the biggest issue I have encountered while using Monday.com.
It is helping us stay organized by having most info in one place. It has also helped us to streamline communication and document the communication in one place as well.
I really like the UX and Design of Monday.com. It's easy to use, customize and navigate.
It's easy to lose details when adding updates or attaching items to updates. Honestly not the worst thing though, since you can search for items...the trick is remembering what to search for.
The benefit of Monday.com is enabling clear and open communication across multiple departments.
Super easy to have a big overview of what's happening!
Hard (or i don't understand how to do it easily) to "force" people to use it in only one way. when you're +10 persons, it starts to be a mess
Educate the team to be "task" based instead of "project based"
Customization of of various views/dashboards.
Some features are still under development, such us timeline view of subtasks
Tracking projects/tasks for the team
It is very easy to use and has a very intuitive design. It is very practical for me to manage my company using Monday.
I hate the new visual of the workspaces, before it was much better and practical to use, I would love for them to go back to the previous design.
It helps me manage all areas of my company and keep track of the tasks to be carried out and completed.
Keeps track of everything, very transparent to see where projects are
I don't really have anything to add here
Seeing a project through to completion and working with team members
Monday.com is easy to use. It's clear what tasks are yours and it's easily customizable.
Monday.com isn't the easiest to master. There are a lot of features that I don't know how to use.
Keeping track of different projects and who owns each of these projects.
I like how easy you can automate processes
With the ease of the automation - which nice to have - there are quite a few bugs, and the automation don't always work well.
1. Tasks prioritization 2. Keeping track of ongoing tasks 3. Knowledge management
Monday.com is an easy to use tool, you can manage multiple projects within the platform. You can manage and play around with the boards and widgets. You can easily track the progress of a board and the performance of a team. It is a great tool to visualize a marketing tool.
Despite the tool is pretty flexible with the configuration, if you want to change the name of the columns for a group, you need to do it in a different board. This is not ideal when you want to have all of your groups in a same board.
Managing daily activities and monthly projects. You can visualize where you at in each project if you feed the tool.
I like the usability and how easy it was to onboard our team
it's newer so there weren't a ton of integrations available
tracking and scheduling
Easy to use, and intuitive interface. Simple and aesthetically pleasing. Good organization, and a good amount of customization. Reasonably priced.
Application can be slow with a lot of data. More automation would be valuable.
Our team uses Monday.com as a CRM and project tracking. It functions well off tracking progress, but automation and integration with our other systems can be an issue. I believe we aren’t using the application to it’s full capacity, but the simplicity is valuable to keep everyone on the team engaged.
It's easy to use, beautifully designed and color coded. Great for managing small and large teams.
I personally don't like the email notification feature, just because I don't use or need it.
Helps keep track of tasks that need completed from our whole team, a central location to view status/progress.
I like the overall look of the site. I like the color coordination they use.
I think if someone jumps into it who doesn’t know what they’re doing it can be confusing.
Project management. We use it to track the process of different projects.
