The ease at which one can bring up the customers details
The difficulty with which to transfer information from other formats: i.e. Apples numbers.
It provides me with an excellent database for my business.
Being able to create my own file management and record system.
Can only view it on the device I created it on, and not on other mobile devices.
Customer database, and records of documents and conversations.
I like the ability to create custom reports.
Because I know coding, the "simple" part of it gets in the way.
We use it to track our Support tickets.
Powerfull database, simple to use, all devices ready, collaborative.
export colorfull pdf and excel this is very important
Complex Project management
the clean interface, colors, UI, in general easy to use.
can be faster, sometimes maybe it is network issue.
no issue until now.
Truely easy to use and setup for those not schooled in database design
Not much. Perhaps and intermediate cloud subscription between one user and many users. Right now its a big cost leap.
Making internal databases available to very small audience of outside users on the cloud.
Learning how to use Ninox is easy though the setup took awhile
The price is high but the product is completely worth it
We are a sports performance training facility and time/measure our athletes on a variety of drills. Having the data helps track performance improvement and areas that may need more attention
The possibility to adapt ninox database easily to specific requirements of my company without being dependent of others.
To some people adding data is not sufficiently intuitive.
Managing a marina, several controlling and accounting tasks of a house renting business
Ease of creating a functional database on the fly.
When exporting to excel, images do not export. Is there a way to export photos as well even as a separate file?
Inventory. Better efficiency with one database.
The flexibility and easy to use surface as well as the possibility for coding.
No desktop version for Windows, would be great having it in future
Collecting and organizing research data
The ease of use. Drag and drop. flexibility. The scripting. Can be use across different type of hardware ie. desktop, smartphone.
lack of tutorial, script samples ( I am not a programmer, sometimes spend lots of times to achieve someting considered basic and simple). The formula is painful, if you have something wrong, then it erases all the formula with error message.
I had a job to document hospitals accros the country. Ninox helps me to make a simple database to sort out the task, create permit letters (minimize the address mismatch), make photo assignment task schedule, create expense report, etc. While the db can also be accessed on the iphone so it is very easy to update the data on the fly.
The cloud functionality alone is worth the price. And speaking of price, it’s radically cheaper than FileMaker Pro, and really just as powerful. Also: it is super fast and responsive.
I’d like the ability to create more user-friendly forms and views (without sacrificing the speed. But that seems to be on the way.
I’m using it in music and show production. Being able to share with my production partners in the cloud is huge.
Since I am in the sales business, I like the fact that I can consolidate all my contacts in one place. The ease of using the product is at its best. It is not complicated like the other database applications I have used before.
Probably the only one that I dislike on this program is the separation of databases where I should close one then open another one. I hope there is a way I can compare and contrast both and connect them.
I can store information easily and sort the data however I want. I can easily use it whenever I want.
• Desktop version is native to the Mac platform, not a port of some mediocre Microsoft spaghetti code app. • Cloud version can be accessed in any browser such as Google Chrome. • Cloud version is empowered through Zapier to connect to other cloud apps. • The Zapier connection is robust, including both triggers and actions in both directions as well as an 'update record' trigger and action missing in many Zapier connections. • Free iPhone & Android apps
Nothing to dislike so far in the app itself, but they need more video tutorials. They only have four right now. I do wish it had tighter native integration with G Suite: • Google Calendar • Gmail • Google Tasks • Google Keep • G Drive • Google Sheets • Google Docs We need more apps bridging Apple & Google platforms.
Data repository on my Mac that doesn't require an Internet connection. Backup to Apple iCloud.
ninox has a great usability, out Team likes the quick and easy UI. The whole system is very fast. Another great function is the overall search, which shows result while typing. For the Admin the best feature the very easy und quick option to customize the system, even a key-user is able to customize it.
limited set of scripting features, i would prefer an option to be able to write plugins e.g. with JS
We started using Ninox as our Customer Relationship Management. After a short time we also use it as Projekt and Task Management with integrated Time Tracking. Later we added a Offer Management for our sales. All that thinks now are interacting with each other, and it is perfectly customized to our business purpose. The Systems grows and everyone still likes to work with it. It's the first time a ERP system gets loved by the team even after month of use and with more complex informations.
Ninox staff and other users are always ready to help with questions.
Help and forum are sometimes difficult to search.
My business involves very specialized materials with low profit margins, so there is no reason any developer would ever come up with a data system that would address the specific issues of my business and my customers. Most "turnkey solutions" for non developers are far too simplistic; this is not a hobby for me, like organizing my DVDs. I need conditional logic, flexibility, the ability to interact with my accountant's software, etc. Ninox has almost entirely eliminated my need for spreadsheets, has allowed me much better oversight of my customers, orders, and contractors, and I have only scratched the surface with it. The more I work with it, the more I learn what I can do and how.
I really like how easy it is to navigate through the app, create fields, And manage your data from one screen. You can also view your data as a spreadsheet format which is very convenient when you’re trying to proofread names etc.
The only complaint I have so far is if you need to move the window on your desktop you have to grab a certain place on the top of the window to move it. And it’s a very small area that will enable you to move the window out of the way Otherwise it won’t move.
. I am a musician and I keep track of fans, contacts, and event planners. Having this database lets me keep track of all of my records, all of my phone calls and follow ups with each client.
The best thing in Ninox is that you can create yourself everything that will surround yuor data. Titles, sizes, colors you name it. And if that is not enough - there is triggers that allow to fire custom code everytime speciffic event happens, for example field content updates. Additionally on Ninox cloud there is functions that allow to share via a link your data and you can update the view without resending link. There is also a way to use external resources like zapier thanks to Ninox implementing Rest API last summer.
There is a few things I dislike in Ninox. First was that on iPad while entering code I was not able to enter single quotes and double quotes, because those which I entered appeared different from those which Ninox expected. So I had to copy and paste them. Despite all my frustration I was wrong to blame Ninox, because after I contacted support they explained that it is my iPad that turns normal quotes to stylized quotes and showed me how to turn that off in settings. Next thing is few bugs in using dates, but mostly they are also related to how iPad makes it appear. I have informed support about it and am sure they will think of a way to improve that.
We benefit from using Ninox in our business because it allows to keep everything in one place. It can be used in a small, large or growing companies by using payment method "per user", which only limits you on the maximum team members, so you are free to change team members when you need it. To keep data safe and improve efficiency you can create and assign roles to team members and every role can have custom access to every field and every table. For example in my database editors can create and edit, but only admin can delete a record. And thanks to history feature I can track any changes made in every record. To be even more secure Ninox creates backups on a regular basis and if you require you can do a backup manually and download it.
Ninox is extremely fast and robust. It's relatively easy to understand, yet complex enough to manage even complicated tasks, or large amounts of data. I was quite surprised by the awesome, proactive support.
The visuals are a bit dated (gradients, fonts), not a major issue. It's not possible to create PDFs on the iPhone app yet, a feature which would be very helpful for me. According to the Ninox team, this feature is in the works.
Ninox helps me to manage thousands of contacts. Before I used Google Contacts and tested numerous CRMs, none which came close to what I was looking for, a solution that works both on- and offline and that's fast.
I like the simply Handling and the clearness of the App
The User should have more possibilaty about designing the App.
Shopping-Systems
We really enjoy its flexibility and ease of use.
No negatives at this point. The Ninox team has been very helpful in answering our questions and taking suggestions for development seriously.
We needed a database to manage our associations large DVD library where members can check out DVD’s. The app helps us track use, inventory and DVDs not returned
Its easy to use , for all peoples that do not have Programming skills, the Support Service is very good. With Ninox my work increase 70% higher as normal. I can start immadiatly . Its perfekt for Startups Companys to get a structure.
Nothing , Because all problems i ever have .... i can solve with the best support Service
Time benefits und Resource benefits
Simple and intuitive handling of tables and forms. Scripting is powerful with a straight forward syntax. Powerful collaboration concept based on users and roles. Integration with other software/services via standard protocols.
Documentation is somewhat cumbersome to navigate and not complete. This is compensated by a vivid community and quick service resonses.
I run a paramedical practice and build the complete documentation and management based on Ninox.
Ninox makes it extremely easy to create multiuser and multiplatform database applications. Structured data is presented in easy to design forms and graphs. With the integrated scripting language, even complex calculations are possible.
Currently, Ninox is only available via web and for macOS and iOS devices. Expanding this to Android and other desktop platforms would further broaden the community. Also, a Ninox server should be available for download and the file format should be open sourced.
I use Ninox for event and order management. The very simple approach helped me to get to and running fast.
I started using Ninox long time ago. The way that you build workflows is simple and fast. There are different ways to build your database - Drag&Drop or Script Language. I created some very complex databases and had nearly no issues. Ninox is slim, fast and rock solid! I really like it
One thing that could be improved in the future is the documentation. More examples would be nice. The webinars should also be offline available.
I realized my complete workflow in my physiotherapy office
Easy coding and simple user experience, great support and easy growth. Completely transformed our business systems into a simple, portable database.
Nothing really - the support system is great, great long term growth of the app. Needs more features but these are ways coming.
Full CRM, accounting and invoicing database which modernised our 30+ year business.
We used Ninox every data to manage our small business. It has been a godsend as compared to other platforms that were less reliant and stable.
I wish you could create a database enter and delete button before adding or deleting records.
Customer records are stored, sales leads captured and more. Before I had an unstable uncustomizable platform where data was lost frequently. I will not name the competitor.
This product has seriously changed the way I operate my small business. It has also helped me capture information in my personal life and leverage data to become more organized
I dislike that I am very limited with what I can do with Ninox without an internet connection
I recruit in the sports world and have been looking to create my own CRM for years. Ninox made this possible in a month and I continue to tweak Ninox to fit my needs for different events
