How it was intuitive to use so I didn't have to take tutorials in order to use it. It was easy to start right away and make calls and texts. Also i love how reliable it is.
I still haven't found one downfall from OpenPhone
I live in Costa Rica, where not all the text messages services for the U.S. are available. OpenPhone allowed me to send text messages to my clients and reach some that it would've been impossible otherwise. Since day 1 I was able to communicate with my clients and they were able to communicate back in a very ewasy way. Plus it has all the emogies! :) The quality of the calls are great as well.
This tool is an excellent telephony solution to assist with both phone and texts to your customers.
Dislike is a strong word but looking forward to their upgrade to allow for conference calls.
They are helping us show a 24/7 availability to assist our customers.
OpenPhone has provided our small business with the tools to streamline communication easily for all employees. It is typically a hassle to have to use your phone number, and Google Voice is not only way too expensive it does not provide half of what OpenPhone offers. OpenPhone is cheap and easy to use. It makes it super easy to forward customer calls to other employees and assist our loyal customers without hassle.
I have no dislikes as it has provided everything our business needs to communicate thoroughly with our employees and customers.
OpenPhone allows our team to actualize the importance of connecting quickly and efficiently to our customers. It is of utmost importance to employees to communicate easily because it also makes the job much easier. It is a small price to pay for improving communication in business and overall increasing revenues.
I love how simple and well-designed OpenPhone is! I had an account going from sign-up to live within ten minutes. For an entry-level product, it's very well-designed and virtually bug-free. In my current role where I reach out to external parties all day, it makes my life easier to be able to copy and paste phone numbers all on desktop. My life before OpenPhone was very laborious. I had to write so many numbers down before and manually dial them on my phone, which was a huge time suck. OpenPhone swooped in and saved the day. I love it to death and highly recommend anyone looking for a quick and easy VOIP service to sign up and switch to them. Don't walk. Run!
With time, I hope it gets more integrations. It's definitely because it's a young company, so I have confidence that as they scale they'll come up with more life-changing features.
I've solved the problem of time waste in between calls. Because it runs so smoothly on desktop, I can easily import contact lists and hit the ground running to make connections with all of our stakeholders. This beats manually dialling numbers from a roughly scrawled list by a mile.
I love the team features! I love how we can share a line and when the phone rings ... it rings all our phones at once. It is easy to see when a call is in progress which is great for tracking purposes. The interface is very clean and easy to navigate; don't have to jump through loops to setup your phone line. And lastly, I love the Caller ID function.
Honestly, I haven't ran into any issues. The process to get my number ported was simple. Customer service was very responsive every step of the way!
I am more confident that calls are not being missed and that everyone is alerted when a call comes in. I like that my personal contact list is not being mixed in with business contacts (which show up on everyone's phone)!!
I really appreciate that our business contacts can be kept separate from our personal contacts and t is great not having to carry around another phone for business.
The porting procedure could have been explained a bit more clearly, but OpenPhone support was very responsive and helpful with resolving my issues.
OpenPhone has resolved issues with calls not being received or forwarded properly while with our previous provider.
The best thing is their quick and pleasant support team. They reply so fast to any of your requests and take their customer as their boss! They listen to your problems and not like other services that don't even look at the support requests. I like the audio quality and the minimal design of the interface.
As of yet, I have not seen anything that I dislike. But I am waiting for features like message arrival from Paypal, Whatsapp and also my friend can't be able to use the desktop version as he doesn't have a mac but I do and I really like it. :)
First of all, The customer support, I have never experienced that good support before. Secondly the design and easy-to-use interface of a phone. It's really feasible.
I like the reliability of the app and the cloud based back office application that I can log into from my computer.
Would like call log separate from texts.
I needed a separate line for my real estate business without having to carry a separate phone. OpenPhone works perfectly for that purpose! I love that if I hire an assistant in the future that I can assign that person a line.
Easily configurable and multi-platform functionalities.
Android app needs improvement (notification sound customization, app availability to be android's default SMS / phone app).
Portability. Makes it easier to answer the phone when away.
Open phone is very easy to use and it has saved my businesses! The mobile app turns your employees’ desk phones, laptops, tablets, and smartphones into mobile offices, giving them 24/7 access anywhere they have an internet connection. I love that I can record my meetings and I can also text my customers as well.
Nothing! I love this platform! There is nothing to dislike
I love that I can record my phone meetings! This is a game changer
We moved from the US to the UK and needed to keep our US numbers but didn't want to keep paying large company prices for our phone plans. This option gave us an inexpensive way to keep our numbers. The customer service has been great in the number porting process, keeping us up to date the entire time.
It took longer to get our number ported but I don't think that was the fault of open phone. More of our current carrier not processing it correctly. Overall, so far so good!
We are able to keep our US numbers and contacts while living abroad! I have had the same number for over 15 years and did not want to get rid of it.
I have multiple features that I love: the texting feature and the customizable voicemail, that you can set your caller ID and make notes about each call you take - all incredibly helpful and user-friendly features.
I haven't used it enough to know if there is anything I dislike at this point.
Some of the benefits I have realized now using OpenPhone is the ability to have office hours set so that our team doesn't have to be contacted or ignore calls off the clock. This helps create a healthy culture for our internal team and it's easy to set up!
The support from the team is amazing! I was shopping around and OpenPhone have been the best!
Nothing much there the best service i know! There support team are amazing!
Openphone is helping me recive calls of clients who need support
I've been using OpenPhone for a couple years now and it's been nothing short of wonderful for all my business and travel needs. It's nice to keep separation between your personal contacts and business contacts. In addition, when traveling, having an American number makes it effortless to call your bank back home or other services if ever needed. The OpenPhone customer service is incredible and they've always helped me quickly and with sincerity whenever I had any questions. This app will definitely increase in the future in popularity.
Nothing, it's fantastic. Everything you need is right in front of you.
I needed separation between my personal and work life which OpenPhone provided for me. I travel extensively so having a +1 number while abroad takes away any anxiety I have about calling a company or person back home while I'm abroad.
Had a lot of trouble with the losing carrier when porting my phone number: porting request got rejected at least four times due to issues on their side. Approval process was complicated and took well over a month. OpenPhone support specialist I worked with was patient and helpful during all this time.
Some organizations won't allow me to verify my identity, but that's an inevitable drawback of VoIP. No other issues.
I was able to retain my US phone number when I went on a long trip overseas.
Can speak to USA clients on local phone number without being in USA due to pandemic restrictions
Possibly if using the number regularly if I was in USA I would need to obtain another USA sim card for my phone (and another numner) just for data for VOIP calls or pay international tariff using a UK mobile
Allows me security access to Clients systems in Washington DC which requires me to have a local USA number. Ease of speaking to clients employees on local number.
customer service and the constant development of the app
screen could be a little better organized
My main problem when I was looking for an add'l phone line for my business. OP allowed me to create an easy to remember number and provides a great website for me to use when calling on clients
Availability of numbers, ease of calling, great for my remote business
It needs strong wifi, but on data is fine
The distinction between business and personal on my own phone
Fast and efficient response to problems. Kept me informed regarding their response and gave clear time lines for action. Problem was quickly resolved and they followed up to see it was done to my satisfaction. When there was a larger, system-wide issue the management immediately contacted all subscribers and clearly explained the problem, the reasons, the course of action and took responsibility. Impressive.
I have yet to find anything. The ability to have a second, separate ring tone/text alert for the Open Phone line but I'm not sure if that's possible.
The problem being solved is that I have a small private counseling practice and accessibility is key--I must be able to receive and make calls and texts quickly. Open Phone allows me to have a business number on my current cell phone so I do not have to carry and pay for two phones. The quality of the calls is excellent. It is available in Canada--that's a huge plus. I was able to keep my number when I ported it over from the previous service I used that was really not meeting my needs. That service was unreliable and had horrible customer support. I would not have a business without having a phone number and Open Phone provides that.
What I like best has got to be the price and convenience. Rather than going through the headache of getting your wireless carrier to set you up with an expensive and temporary international service agreement, this only takes WiFi or cellular data and you can use this phone number anywhere in the world. You can't beat the price or the convenience to make sure you have a working phone anywhere in the world. You transfer over your old number from a previous carrier or start fresh. The user experience is amazing that's very clear and easy to navigate.
Right now there is no pairing verification with WhatsApp/WhatsApp business so you can't pair your OpenPhone number with WhatsApp currently. I dislike that because my company will soon be switching from webex to WhatsApp business and that requires a phone number.
The pandemic caused me to experience a career change. This service was exactly what I needed to maintain my book of business based in America while living 1/2 a world away in South East Asia. I am able to communicate through texting and calling to all my customers as if I were still in America with no issues. Calls are crystal clear and text messages confirm if delivered or not.
