From the moment I signed up, the process was seamless and user-friendly. Open Phone offers a hassle-free setup, eliminating the need for physical SIM cards or complicated configurations. As an international user, I was impressed by the effortless activation process, allowing me to enjoy all the benefits of a dedicated US phone line from anywhere in the world. One of the standout features of Open Phone is its unparalleled call quality. Every conversation feels crisp and clear, ensuring that I can communicate effectively with my clients, partners, and customers without any disruptions or delays. The reliability of the service is impeccable, guaranteeing a seamless connection for important calls, even across different time zones.
Nothing, so far OpenPhone is THE BEST secondary phone line I have tried, not like others, that their servers get down or bad sound with noise.
Time and Money - Whether you are a small business owner, entrepreneur, freelancer, or simply in need of a private phone line, Open Phone is the ultimate solution for your communication needs. It has transformed the way I manage my secondary phone line, enabling me to stay connected, professional, and in control of my communications effortlessly.
I like that I can use open phone on both my iPhone and laptop. I often use it on the computer when I am in a long text message conversation with someone. Also, having it on my computer means I don't have to get up to find my phone if I am working on the computer and I don't happen to have the phone with me,
Probably the biggest concern is that OpenPhone is still not compatible with some One-Time-Password system used by some organizations, meaning I can't use my phone number as a 2fa device for some accounts.
Having a business phone that I can use on multiple device, unlike getting a business line or even cell phone plan from a traditional phone company, is very helpful.
I use OpenPhone on a daily basis as a business phone. I use it to call and text my prospects and clients. OpenPhone provides every feature you need as an agency owner like voicemail drops, voicemail transcriptions and call recording. It also has Android and ios apps that I use for calling and sending text messages. This is an incredible tool every business owner/ agency owner must have.
There is nothing to dislike about OpenPhone and it provides everything I need.
OpenPhone has enabled me to call and text my prospects and clients from anywhere in the world, this is one of the biggest problems that I'm facing before using it.
OpenPhone is easy to set up and use and the functionality it provides is exceptional. We made the move to have easy integration into our CRM and that has been an easy and seamless process. The mobile app makes it so simple to keep up with calls even when we're away from our desk and the team at OpenPhone has been DELIGHTFUL.
I'd be hard-pressed to say something I didn't like. The economics of the pricing is simple and straighforward. The platform itself is exceptional. The user interface, particularly, is so well done. We're happy campers!
We wanted "click of the button" reporting on our sales team's calling activity -- and the OpenPhone integration with our CRM made it SO easy. It was also important to text from our business lines, which is simple and easy. Love it!
Openphone Makes Customer-Facing Texts Collaborative, Transparent, and Easy.
Essentially nothing - I've really liked it. Just not sure how pricing works for automated texts
As a satisfied client of Openphone, I have had the pleasure of experiencing firsthand how their exceptional software transforms the way customer-facing texts are handled. Openphone's platform goes above and beyond to make customer communication collaborative, transparent, and easy, revolutionizing the way businesses connect with their audience.
I love how organized the system is. Very well put!!!!!!
I dislike that I can't use my keypad on my keyboard to dial in numbers or copy and paste a phone number.
I am able to make clear phone calls without having to use my personal phone for business.
We recently started using OpenPhone and after 6 months, I am very happy with the system. It was *much* less expensive than standing up a hardware phone system, and it delivers everything we need. The app's interface is sleek and user-friendly, making it incredibly easy to manage calls, messages, and contacts all in one place. The call quality is excellent, and the ability to set up multiple phone numbers for different purposes is a fantastic feature. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable and efficient phone service.
If I *had* to pick something, I would suggest that they add more user (versus admin) training videos.
Business phone system for a startup manufacturer.
Setting up phone numbers to be assigned to users is critical for teams to talk internally before making a final decision externally! The competitors can't match this type of functionality requires the user to switch to a different product that has that feature built-in, or the user has to purchase a subscription base or a piece of software to get that feature. The best part of using OpenPhone, it has the features built right in!
The mobile variant of OpenPhone has some features stripped out, which in turn requires the desktop application or a web browser that requires further actions to configure critical or specific settings not present in the mobile version!
Using OpenPhone to take care of calls on the business side so calls can be analyzed & improve certain aspects of the past or current calls throughout the day! My business performance increased very well while improving call recognition on every call I make daily!
Open phone was a snap to set up with premium features and for other phone systems a very complicated on boarding process and what not open phone was pretty much within 1015 minutes. Had a multilane phone system in place with extensions voicemails and IVR prompts.
I don't think that I've necessarily found anything I dislike. Sometimes the connections can be a little wonky on the computer as far as receiving notifications to phone calls, but that's probably that space in between the seat and the keyboard.
Is probably providing a business phone system for my entire business at a very reasonable price and minimal complications, but fully functional with being able to put a client on hold transferring voicemail, IVR and integration into other systems to make it seamless
The tool is simple to use and the subscription easy to set up. The features are good, and somehow surprising like the transcription of the messages on the voicemail box I never had any technical problem Each time I had a question, I was answered very quickly and in detail.
The Ringing, and the notification for entering calls could be more powerful (louder, and more vivid) like others are. I have to keep an eye on my phone when I'm waiting for an important call I think that in the future WhatsApp may be a strong competitor at a personal level, if there are not new improvements. Because if I'm using WhatsApp to call people... what do I really need other phones for? We sure need more features.
As I travel a lot, I need: 1) a "real" US phone number (mainly to be called from customers from abroad) 2) sometimes to call the US administration because my company is in the US
Very easy to use (web and app), very scalable pricing for teams, and I've rarely had issues when using OpenPhone
Not much honestly, it could be nice to have a "master account" that owns multiple lines
We have teams internationally that work directly with US colleagues -- this completely solves my painpoint allowing international teams to collaborate
I regularly use both the iOS app and the Max desktop app, and both are beautifully designed. They are easy to use, well-organized, and they are feature-rich. I'm incredibly impressed with the phone OpenPhone platform; I've switched both my businesses as well as my personal (home) phone over to the platform and I could not be happier. I'm able to easily change outgoing messages, divert callers to specific people within my organization, and easily distinguish normal cell calls from OpenPhone calls. I'm also very pleased that it offers text messaging, as I now feel as though I was losing business from customers texting vs calling; I was completely unaware, but now it's a solid sales channel. OpenPhone is everything I hoped for in a phone platform for my small business.
I think the contact import features could be a little more customizable, as I have a large database and hoped to categorize customer info a bit more thoroughly. But overall, the CRM is remarkably robust and helps us organize internal communications.
I had a land line, then a VOIP service, and now OpenPhone. No more wires, no more hard phone, all on my iPhone/desktop. It's completely seamless integration with my daily life, and I can use it anywhere. Texting is a huge benefit, as I think I was losing customers who were previously texting our work line that did NOT offer texting. I also love that I can have multiple business numbers on the platform and they are beautifully segmented, meaning I can use ONE APP for all businesses. No more loggging in/out of apps, or using different. services for different purposes. All unified now.
When I used OpenPhone phone back in 2019 it wasn't as useful as it was today. Now they have all kinds of integrations I even asked in late 2022 if they would have features such as forwarding SMS messages to email addresses or Slack. At that time they said they didn't have it but acknowledged my question. Come 2023, and they have the features! I love that they listened to feedback and implemented it! The ability to receive SMS messages and voicemails to a Slack channel is extremely valuable to our team. We came from Fortivoice, and the difference was night and day. The Web UI is gorgeous and intuitive. User management was a breeze. Porting a phone number over was pretty straightforward! Overall, the integrations that OpenPhone has brings a lot of value to the table compared to other services!
I don't know of any downsides after they solved the lack of SMS forwarding to email or Slack. Before, it would have been an issue.
SMS Authentication is a problem Open Phone solves. Sometimes we're working with a company email address or company phone number and want to use that for authentication instead of our personal phone number. In this case, the ability to forward SMS messages to a specific team-slack channel is very helpful. Another use case is that when voice mails go to our sales number, it gets forwarded to the specific team in either Slack or email. The feature is extremely useful.
The app is very polished, intuitive, and easy to use. And porting a number was a breeze!
Wish it had a native standalone app, but that's just me being too picky
I do a lot of consulting working in both Canada and USA, and having two separate phones and phone numbers is a hassle. OpenPhone lets me have two work numbers on my personal phone and laptop and still keep my work separate.
I love that I can mark messages as "done" or "unread" depending on the circumstance. I also love that I can leave hidden comments on the text messages I receive so I can track and share my thoughts in particular conversations with my other co-workers. So many convenient features that I am finding super helpful!
Porting process took a while. I missed out on some texts for a couple of business days while my number was being ported from Google Voice.
Marking conversations as "Done" so I can clearly focus on conversations that I still need to follow up with or respond to.
OpenPhone is perfect for small business owners looking for a simple, yet high-tech option for their phone. It allows you to take phone calls on your computer, mobile phone and more and has integrations with programs like Zapier, helping you build systems and processes around your calls and messages.
I would like to see OpenPhone integrations with omnichannel programs such as Missive. This will likely be an option shortly, as they are constantly improving things.
It helps us solve the issue of finding a simple phone system that is also high-tech with options for integrations such as Zapier. This allows us to automate a lot of our processes around our phone and messaging.
We love. the Snippets feature where you can save frequently used templates and instantly input them into a text thread. You can also add checkboxes fir each contact to act as a mini CRM if needed to track the progress/steps of a client's account.
I wish you could turn off the auto-text response feature for certain contacts/threads. I also wish you could create a custom name for a group thread/group text thread.
Scheduling text messages to customers, tracking the steps/progress of customer accounts, receiving and making calls to/from customers, call recording, and multi-user access to the same inboxes.
For years we have been using Grasshopper for all of our business communications however there are things with Grasshoppers that are very lackluster especially with no call recording capability or integrations with third party apps that will allow us to collect customer data so we know who we're talking to. OpenPhone solves these problems and so much more as well as saves us a couple extra dollars a month! 👍
We are still using OpenPhone at this point and do not have any type of issues at the moment.
Call recording capabilities to monitor customer quality, ability to send MMS messages to customers, pricing. I feel that we are much more productive and that are business performance is increasing.
The signup is simple, there is flexibility in picking the numbers you prefer, and VM settings are fantastic. The interface is User-Friendly, and pricing is affordable for the services provided.
Whenever they're working on a new feature or a fix, that day OpenPhone does tend to glitch a lot. Although in the long term, that is not too much of a problem. Also, it'd be great if they clarify that the charges increases when you ADD a User apart from the increment in monthly fee when a Number is purchased.
Aids us in reaching out to our clients in the most efficient manner possible. Way better than having Physical Cisco Handsets. I can send Images or contact details or solve problems of my customers, all the while I'm still on the call with my clients. Sending out Quick Texts has never been easier.
I like the call recording and office hours feature
I don't have any dislikes about OpenPhone
I currently do not have any problems with open phone.
