When I went through porting my phone number (which I've done two other times), their team kept me informed of every step. Where it usually took 3 weeks to port, they had it finished in 1 1/2 weeks.
Haven't experienced anything challenging with them.
I had previously switched from my phone provider to a virtual line provider when I left the USA. I again had to switch this year, because they were modifying their business model to only support business customers. I switched to another Virtual line provider and that process took 6 weeks and I needed to follow up constantly. In the end, the ported number could ONLY be used as voice mail. So, I need to switch again and from the reviews on the App Store, I chose Open Phone. They were incredibly efficient and had the porting done is under 2 weeks.
Customer service is fast and helpful. I had an issue with paying for an extra line. I was refunded within the hour and they deleted the extra number for me. The agent was also very friendly.
I don't love how the call log, voicemails and texts are all on the same screen. I would prefer they were organized by message type. This would make responding to messages easier.
Having a business phone line on my personal cell phone is very helpful. I love that I can use the line to call and text and my business performance has increased.
A perfect product for my business getting started in the USA. There was some trouble with my international mobile number on setup, but the customer service team were incredibly quick to respond to my query and sorted it out straight away. From my experience I'd highly recommend Open Phone
I haven't found anything yet. Many thanks
I run an international non-profit which has just branched out into New York state. In order to set up our internet banking, a US mobile number is required for verification. OpenPhone solves this problem for us perfectly!
Openphone phone numbers are accepted by websites as a form of 2nd Factor for authentication.
Well, while using on the mobile device Openphone should not try to become the regular voice call software.
Its giving access to a US phone number which is very crucial for brand image.
The ability to make and answer calls anywhere in the world. Easily the best decision I have made in a long time in terms of cost effective. I have been telling my friends to join.
I am relatively new to the service and I can't really think of anything I dislike at the moment. It's been a very positive experience for me overall. I'm very happy.
I do not have to worry about roaming cost anymore and this will safe me lots of money. Besides, this will make me more productive and improve my business performance.
great ux design. it's intuitive and easy to use.
it would be nice if there was a way to send one message to many people in separate threads so I don't have to copy and paste a bunch of messages.
the ability to message customers without using my personal phone number
The customer service is great, text messages are lightning fast and sound quality is great!
Signal can be a little distorted when you or someone are in an area with poor internet connection but that's understandable
So much easier to work with, as oppose to Godaddy Smartline. GoDaddy is getting to that point where they're too big and they lose sight of the quality of the user's experience.
I love how easy OpenPhone is to use. It's also got very handy features, even for just the more basic plan, like customizing when to snooze calls and voicemail options. I switched from Skype and have been thoroughly happy with the switch.
No dislikes yet. I haven't run into any issues or the lack of any features I wish it had.
Great reception so far in terms of call quality. The voicemail is reliable and handy with how it transcribes messages, so I often don't even have to listen to the voicemail to know what it concerns.
Our company switched from Google Voice to OpenPhone a few months ago, which was a great decision. The switch was super easy, customer service was very helpful, and OpenPhone is MUCH less expensive than Google Voice. Plus, now we're able to use text messaging with many more applications now compared to when we had Google Voice. Overall a great company!
The only thing I do not like about OpenPhone is when I open up the website on my computer, I can see the last message displayed. I would prefer a basic landing page to be on and then click on individual messages as needed.
OpenPhone has saved my company money, it allows us to utilize text messaging on many more platforms, and it is much more user friendly than the previous company we used.
Their customer service is responsive, the UI is very intuitive & easy to use, and it just works! Also their call quality is better than other services that I've used in the past.
I wish they had conference (3 way) calling but this is not a deal breaker at all.
It allows me to have different lines for my business (clients, workers) and it records all my calls.
It has the most features for the least money.
Nothing yet. It is working exactly as advertised.
I use it to get a business phone number for my startup, and keep everything on one phone.
There's so much about openPhone to like. The desktop and mobile UX are intuitive and just work smoothly and without problems. The connectivity is solid enough (not an audiophile, but it works for me). I haven't used a lot of other VOIP's, but when there's an option that is both best in class AND the most price competitive, it's a no-brainer. I also like their pricing model re users vs numbers. Furthermore, I also like that webhooks are a first-class citizen.
I literally have not found anything I dislike about the software yet.
We were using google voice previously and this is just leagues better. First, I prefer that texts and calls are combined in one thread, so I can see if a missed call already has a text thread. Furthermore, the webhooks feature allowed me to build a zapier automation to forward VMs and it's a dream come true.
Multiple lines for different business all from one phone. Prevents me from carrying multiple phones. Great pricing.
Nothing really. So far everything has been perfect.
The need for multiple phones, the ease of use.
I can keep using my old phone number using the app. There is no reason to go with a phone service provider. I also love the fast and efficient customer service.
There was not a customer service number to call. However, when I emailed I received an answer within a couple of hours but it would have been great to have a chat feature.
I can have two lines working on my current phone. I do not have to forgo my phone numbers. The cost of the service is reasonable and the quality is great too.
Simple setup, great customer service and features suit us to a t.
Nothing at all. We came from using another VOIP service which was more expensive, more complicated and more expensive.
Open Phone is our main office line, which is obviously essential, but the ability to share incoming call data and voicemail (text and audio) with every user is awesome.
Ease of use and seamless iOS and MacOS app design.
There is no ability to transfer a call from one device to another. That would be very useful.
It's solving my need to be available to my clients regardless of where I currently am in the world. Makes for a great product for professionals on the go and with the need to be dependable.
The desktop app is easy to use, and I love that when it rings on my phone it shows up as an OpenPhone call so I know it is a business call.
Reception through the desktop app is not always clear - could be my internet.
Being able to have my business line on my personal phone is invaluable!
Very easy interface/great mobile app! A+
There is honestly nothing that I dislike
The ability to use my phone overseas without those weird clunky app in the app store. A+
Easy calling Amazing UI High phone call quality
No international calling minutes with the package.
Getting a US business phone from overseas, we are a US company with overseas staff.
You can set your calls to record automatically, which is a fantastic way to help you remember details. Plus, it organizes contacts with clients under the history, so you have a timeline of events.
So far in using OpenPhone I have not had any issues or concerns. The app has been working better than I had expected. The call quality was a concern, but it has worked great!
Using OpenPhone gives me a fantastic option to provide my clients with a contact number, and I can keep my cell phone number private. Plus, I can text from it, which is very useful.
