With Weebly, I don't need to be an engineer to build and maintain websites.
Simplicity can be helpful, especially when you don't want to sift through tons of designs to get started. But, now that I have the hang of things, I wish I could customize templates more easily without having to know how to code.
Opens access to website maintenance to all.
The application is very easy to use and provides a lot of options.
The watermarks on the websites for the free version.
Providing free marketing for the company.
Weebly is very easy to use. I love the drag and drop feature!
I wish there were more website templates. I'm not a pro at HTML and it would have been great to get a better variety of templates.
I used weebly to create a blog for my job. I loved it because it was so simple and allowed to create a site instantly rather than paying thousands to a web designer.
Weebly is the most user-friendly, easy-to-use and flexible free website builder / CMS out there. I've upgraded to the premium version and do my own hosting, but there's so much you can do out of the box without paying a dime.
Weebly could address version control and saving. If you accidentally delete text, a page or botch your CSS updates, there's little way to go backward without losing significant progress.
Website, Hosting, CMS
There are so many beautiful templates for every type of website possible! Creating a website is so easy with dragging a dropping elements you need right on to the page. Adding files and pictures is simple just about anyone can create a beautiful website in a short amount of time. Keeping the site updated is super easy as well. You can even have Surveys, polls and contact forms right on the site. There are also many apps that integrate easily with Weebly to solve all your business needs. Free hosting available through Weebly with a free Weebly domain or your own domain for a more personal website. Once the site is created, you can grant access to others to help manage the site.
My least favorite part of Weebly is how files show on Scribd. I have had complaints from users that they are hard to access and print. I personally don't like how the file looks on the site using Scribd either.
Weebly helps create professional looking websites quick and easy. The ability to share your site with others to contribute is a big help in staying on top of keeping a site up to date. Weebly also does a great job helping with SEO so that your site can be found in search engines.
I like the layout. It's simple to find different features of the platform to build a site for multiple purposes.
The preview option could be better to understand exactly what you're posting.
I use it for a personal blog. I have been able to send recruiters to my site as a portfolio.
Simplicity, and the speed with which you can create something world class. Templates and elements work like a dream, and while there are some restrictions, it is more than good enough for 90% of business owners
The fact that you do not get any email addresses for free with a domain which you register through Weebly. You are forced to buy Google Apps which is pretty expensive per email address if you have a team.
I have made a good amount of cash from freelancing using Weebly, and have made many websites for clients using it. It is by far the quickest way to a satisfied customer.
I think what I love the most is the ease of using the site... Not only is it user friendly, but it also looks really awesome, too. Like a professional built the page, even though they didnt'!
The only thing I don't like is having to pay for a domain, but that's normal and understandable.
Not really anything yet.
Love that it is easy to use and that I can quickly edit and make changes.
The editing functions can sometimes be cumbersome.
It allows us to have a website without having to spend a lot of our creative time on managing the site.
The simplicity of the modules made it so easy to use. With sites like these, usually it's hard to customize it - at least enough where it doesn't look like a standard 'weebly' page. I was able to resize images, upload documents that were multiple pages, and make text edits super easy. I recommend this to all my friends.
Wish that the URL didn't say XXX.weebly.com.
It has helped me brand myself in a professional way, and allowed me to quickly send a link rather than large files when I was searching for a job.
