Squarespace Reviews: 4.4/5 — Solid Choice

I like how easy Squarespace makes it to create a site that both looks good and works well. I also have access to advanced features such as tracking the site's traffic sources, etc.

I don't like how there are additional steps one can take to boost SEO that aren't made available through Squarespace or informed about.

I am solving the problem of how to make an effective website that both works well and looks great. I do not have to hire a designer and coder because they are a one-stop shop for website creation. They have done all the work already, I just need to put together the pieces.

This is a great all in one solution for managing sites and content for any company

Pricing could be a little cheaper and a little more integration within online stores.

We use it to sell products and maintain our company image

My website looked great right out of the box. I've made some tweaks, but I'm very happy with the ease of setup.

No more updating widgets every month - your website is hosted and maintained by Squarespace. If your website is having problems, so is theirs so they are on top of it! The support and visuals are amazing.

It can be difficult to find a qualified Squarespace developer or expert to help you get set up and started. I think there's a community board to find someone but I can't remember.

I've used Squarespace to create an online presence for my business, my creative work, and the work of my clients.

My wife and I used this to launch our food blog at storybookmeals.com and have since used it for several other sites and blogs. It’s easy to use and get started, the templates are intuitive. From a mobile device I can quickly load up an entry to the blog.

I do wish it was a little easier to edit the site as a whole from a mobile device and I’d like there to be more tools available to creat a periodical style layout on blog entries.

For us this has been a place where we’ve been building up content and stories for a couple upcoming book and a way to get feedback from our readers along the way.

I needed to complete a total overhaul of our company's previous website. The one we had was outdated and not interactive with the users visiting our site. Squarespace made the process not only easy, but enjoyable as well.

That not all options are available in editing within the style editor. There need to be more than a few fonts available for use. Luckily, with custom css you can make more fonts throughout the website available, but Squarespace needs to allow more than the basic h1, h2, and h3.

Squarespace makes it extremely easy to build a website. It's basically building each page with building blocks, and it's super easy to add photos and links.

I like how simple it is to use! It is easy to go back in to your web design and make new information and design changes! It gives you instructions on how to change your design and is simple enough for someone that doesn't have any experience in web design!

When I was changing and updating my program's website I didn't have many issues or anything i disliked. I have not done much website design in the past, so I do not have much to compare to in this area!

I am trying to make a clear and visually pleasing website for the program I work for! They have different templates that can help simplify your website! This helped me a lot to make it look more clean.

I love that you don't have to fool around with coding and the program is fairly intuitive

As a newly website-owning photographer, I sincerely have enjoyed building my platform with Squarespace. I love how quick it was to learn its nuts and bolts and build my beautiful website.

I wish it were a little easier to drag and drop boxes on the builder platform - I've struggled with structure before and still do at times!

I'm using Squarespace to promote my photography and lifestyle blogging business and have created a landing page for my business. This ultimately has solved my issue of only residing on social sites such as Instagram, Facebook, etc. and has increased my audience tenfold!

There are thousands of themes that you can choose from and if you are not happy with any of them you can even create your own.

Nothing, so far I am very pleased with the quality and service I can receive using Squarespace and I love sitting down and playing with the features to learn more about the platform!

I used Weebly previously and I just didn't feel like it was matching my needs and my audience's interest - Squarespace made it a really simple transition and I am happy with my results!

There is no customer support phone assistance and some functions are just readily available on a minimal variety of design templates.

I can develop my own plugins, styles, and tools and use it to my website for a particular appearance

Love that in less than a couple hours, I had a stunningly designed, professional website with a solid back end.

I LOVE the templates and pre-designed pages for the layouts, but sometimes the templates are difficult to customize to your brand elements.

Needed a beautiful site, without the budget to have anything custom designed. Squarespace fits that bill.

My favourite thing about Squarespace is the versatility - if you don't have a lot of coding experience, you can still create a basic website. However, if you have the knowledge, it still allows you to inject your own code so you can add some more advanced things to your website.

I completely understand why this is the case, but I would say that something I dislike is the support staff's rule that they never even try to help you with a problem if it remotely involves any code that you wrote yourself.

SquareSpace can be as simple or complex as the user wants to make it. It has a very straight forward graphical interface for layout design, but powerful analytical tools and customization abilities.

There are limited options for creating password protected parts of the website. In short, each page can be password protected but there is no ability to "stay logged in" across multiple pages or have customized logins for users.

We use SquareSpace for our English and Spanish language websites, which has served as the primary point of contact for many of our clients.

Squarespace is a great site building platform that allows for creative and clean web design. It's really great for people like myself who don't have experience with the more difficult back end coding languages and just want to make a site that is visually appealing and makes information easily accessible for users. Really liked the ability to view how the site would look from mobile when editing, since most of the users would be viewing from that perspective.

Some of the themes can be limiting at times, not allowing for choice in the areas you might really want to change. It can be easy to over play some of the features and lose sight of how to focus your content. Had some occasional issues with broken links but nothing that weren't quickly solved.

Squarespace allowed me to publish content in ways that were accessible to users and easily sharable to social platforms. The ability to create a professional looking site that belongs in 2018 and not 2001 can really make a business shine against their competitors.
