The multiple data connectors and the ease of blending data and creating automated reporting
The cost. 6,000 per year is a little steep to justify given the cost of alternatives.
Mainly automated reporting.
The data accuracy and the easy way of learning how to use it
The price is high for a snall agency like ours
The Google Analytics reports allows us to deliver a better customer experience
vast availability on data sources tremendously help me to quickly pull comprehensive data according to my needs
bugs would occur due to some reasons and the process from submitting a ticket to fixing the issue was moderately inconvenient where so much access and context have to be provided to the support team
time-consuming data pulling from numerous platforms and ad accounts, and it benefits me in terms of time-efficiency
I like the scheduling options where I can receive reports automatically instead of going to the Instagram app and downloading data myself, which would also require me to clean data. For Supermetric, I can select as many or as few metric I would like.
I wish it can plug inside the organic Twitter API which would be very helpful to my day-to-day job. The UI can be more intuitive when clicking account. I encountered multiple frustrations and found you must click the text, not the highlight area.
It helps me solve to monitor multiple Instagram accounts at a time and allow me to pull data from a longer time period. I also use Supermetric to keep track of the Story data which is helpful.
It's great to pull all different sorts of data. I can bring metrics from Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Ads, etc. together and compare the performance of my campaigns.
Unfortunately, pulling data, especially when you have a lot of rows, can take some time and sometimes needs two attempts as it sometimes tends to break during the process.
To bring data of different platforms together. Instead of having a dozen sheets with all the different data or having to login into all the accounts, I can collect data in one sheet.
easy to setup, connect all the data sources, and then generate reports. found all the data fields we needed too. email automation is great too - it's been helpful to promote a culture of data-centricity
i think sometimes the speed is a bit slow. perhaps because the api themselves are slow but i wonder if there are ways to make things feel zippier.. also its strange that each SKU is tied to a specific tool like data studio..
solving the need to aggregate data from multiple sources and put them into a cohesive dashboard. its helping us keep a good pulse on how the business is doing.
It's been a great help for keeping internal and client reports easy to manage.
Pricing is a bit much for some scenarios. Data can be slow at times but we've figured out some good workarounds
Automating data pulling from ad networks. It saves us a lot of time.
Ease of use. Gives the ability to export data from multiple sources quickly and conveniently.
Some limitations with Supermetrics, some bugs, and not much flexibility on pricing & plans. Not all platform connectors are available on Supermetrics. Some metrics or parameters are not able to be pulled with the API. Notice bugs occurring with auto-refresh or inaccuracies in data every now and then. No longer able to add single connectors or additional user licenses - Must upgrade your plan instead.
Does the job for data importing from different platforms. Much faster than manually exporting/importing.
- Easy to use, friendly user interface - Customizable outputs for customized views/analysis - Many popular connectors - Good CS team
- Unstable product: prone to errors, especially during peak hours/peak season - Trouble accommodating large amount of data - Manual ad-account selection is a chore
For reporting purposes: - Customized dataset for individual analysis For performance monitoring purposes: - Periodic data refresh trigger for constant monitoring
I am using SuperMetrics now for about 4 years and I couldn't live without it. When you have to manage all kinds of online campaigns on multiple channels (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Facebook Ads, etc), SuperMetrics makes it very easy to create performance reports/dashboards that keep track of these campaigns and will refresh automatically (I am using the daily refresh in the morning before my workday starts). I use SuperMetrics in combination with Google Sheets as I like to do analyses in detail and this works best for me. The feature that makes SuperMetrics my tool of choice is the easy-to-use filters ("campaign name contains xyz" for example) and the option to export your data in multiple dimensions (platform, campaign name, ad set name, etc.).
The reason I don't give a 10 is that the Google Sheet plug-in sometimes is a bit glitchy and unstable. The "refresh all queries" option doesn't always work for example.
SuperMetrics gives me peace of mind with managing a broad spectrum of online campaigns. It enables me to give up-to-date performance updates to my manager whenever he asks for it and I can easily track my spending so I make sure I don't spend more than the budget I have available.
Very easy to set up, works consistently with data directly into Google Sheets/
Links to platform data can break when logins change, so more alerts on this would be ideal
Solves our day to day reporting, emoving lots of the manual work.
It's not complicated to build out a query and I like that the Supermetrics team quickly releases emails when there is a system-wide isssue. It's a cost-efficient tool compared to its competitors.
Sometimes queries fail / take longer than 20+ to work.
Pulling advertising data from multiple sources without needing to go in each platform. It saves me time and energy. I've shared it with other teams at my company and they plan to adopt it as well.
I like how that with Supermetrics, you can display data easily and updating is very simple too.
I wouldn't say I like how long it can take to perform some of the queries.
I'm am doing weekly reporting with Supermetrics as a digital analyst.
We've been using for more than 6months Supermetrics for Google sheets. We didn't find a better solution for exporting multiple platforms' data. Supermetrics helps us create our reports as the data is formatted correctly for any excel formulas. Supermetrics for Google Sheet is an excellent tool for starting reporting, especially paid channels.
The export for Google Spreadsheet could be more user-friendly. Sometimes my colleagues have struggled to stop a query or refresh data without mixing everything up. Also, issues happen once every 3months, such as unified attribution for the Facebook Ads data source re-authenticate on Microsoft ads... Because of those changes, you always need to check your email and update queries if something happens. So Supermetrics for Google Spreadsheet (if you are running daily queries) need constant maintenance.
We are getting updated data daily and correctly formatted to use the data in our business reports. Supermetrics allows us to group in one document what could have taken hours to group by manual exports.
It was very easy to set up the account initially
Pricing is a little high, especially for a Canadian company
We've been able to import data from Facebook to Google Data Studio and create customized dashboards to see all of our analytics.
I love how it pulls everything into one place. It makes it really easy to check on my analytics on a daily basis and send the stats over to my directors. I love how quick and easy it makes staying up to date with my ads!
I needed help getting set up the main page that pulls in all the data. Someone who is more skilled in analytics/ads help us organize our ads but after that everything was really easy.
I think a lot of people "set and forget" their ads and with Supermetrics, it makes it easier to stay on top of your ads and see what is and isn't performing. This allows us to check in on our ads in real-time and fix anything that isn't working out.
Easy to use tool, great for tracking budgets with numerous social channels. Supermetrics has a great variety of social channels that it can integrate/sync with.
Sometimes the queries break and it takes a while to find out why they have broke or how to fix them.
Tracking overall budgets/spend from various Social channels all in one place.
The Gsheet feature automatically pulls in data from ad platforms and other data sources vs. manually pulling it.
It's not designed to pull big loads of data, so think small/moderate pulls.
Saving time by automatically pulling data that feeds into reports and other dashboards.
easy way to pull all data across different platforms into one sheet, help with the visbility
not as responsive as it is sometimes, easy to get errors
increased visibility over performance, easy to pull necessary data which helps with making strategy and reporting
Compatibility with wide variety of platforms, customizability in terms of queries
API connections break ofter. Triggers fail to run. Sorting feature often resets (especially with date descending/ascending)
