The development team can quickly address my issues and offer valuable input during design decision making.
We frequently work with MS Excel exports. Although a custom tool was developed in our case the ability to quickly extract nicely formatted and useful excel reports is on our list of future enhancements.
The ability to quickly process and validate data. This enables us to deliver a quality work product in a timely manner to our clients.
Vinyl continues to support their clients and keep their systems up-to-date with new features. Whenever I have a question, I receive a swift response.
The cost might be a little more than the competitors, but you get what you pay for. I prefer this system.
Being able to track time and materials, estimates, and safety has helped with our automation process and review inputted data for analytical purposes.
Vinyl is very easy to learn and develop with. It allows you to quickly deploy applications in a space where nothing has existed previously. Workflows can be built out fast and accurately and the platform is easy to use.
I have nothing negative to say about it. The platform is great and the Vinyl team has been awesome to work with.
Digitizing manual processes with the benefit of reducing the efforts currently needed to push paper.
Rapid development. Easy to use IDE and great features.
The documentation is outdated. While you can sort of figure out how to apply the documentation to the new version, the screen shots are different and terminology is sometimes different as well.
We have automated many of our scheduling and training processes. Additionally, by storing the data in a centralized database, we can easily analyze perfomance.
There is always someone to assist and guide us through any challenge so we never have to face it alone. Zudy always takes care of their customers.
Need to have a few more places on upload of documents that are intuitive.
Vinyl is creating a way for us to manage our business more effectively.
The ability to configure the application is great, allows us to make updates very quickly.
The reporting tool could be more robust.
Vinyl is providing us with a central repository to track our studies and this streamlines the process for us.
Vinyl makes app development easy. If we think of a problem to solve, we can envision Vinyl being able to solve it with an app. Vinyl is "low code", but it also allows the user to understand how it is working on the back end and simplifies a lot of the configuration needed to build apps. The UI layer is impressive and has many options to build a front end from simple form entries, to complex linked pages and reports. The training modules are also very well done and make it easy to onboard new developers.
I have not found any downsides yet. It's a very flexible product.
We are solving the rigidity and complexity of our ERP system with a much simpler front end and business layer in Vinyl. For example, we can create an app in Vinyl that allows a user to submit and process a PO request in the ERP system. The benefit is that the app makes the end user's life much easier because the ERP system is so difficult to use to create a simple PO.
Multiple apps all using the same core data.
Crystal reports are sometimes challenging.
Master Data Management & Development of new SKU's.
I've been developing low-code / no-code applications to help my Team and my Clients for 15 years now, and Vinyl represents an evolutionary step in the capability of this technology. An application can progress from an idea to a proof-of-concept in hours - not weeks, or months. The online training is comprehensive, so I was able to quickly ramp-up. There is an active community of app developers who are willing to share their know-how, and a knowledge-base that is a permanent record of questions and answers from the developers. In short, Vinyl is a powerful platform.
In the development work I've done, I don't have a complaint. The platform has worked as expected, the technology is mature, and if I don't know how to achieve something I can get help from the Wiki, or ask a Question on the Forums, or even ask for specific help. The support team has also been easy to work with when I've asked for help at the database server level. My observation is that the capabilities of Vinyl are huge (hello REST APIs, Widgets, Workflow, etc.,), and I don't have time to learn about those capabilities at the moment.
I have been building a suite of applications to improve the delivery capabilities of my Consulting Business, and to provide a differentiator between my business and my competitors. The applications I have developed are a significant improvement on the ideas I had when I started - I can now deliver powerful dashboards for individuals and teams that were not possible 10 years ago.
The folks at VINYL are so collaborative. It is so wonderful working with them for the following reasons: They are active listeners. They ask clarifying questions vs working off assumptions. They are personable, engaging and fun. Their turn around time to delivery and quality of their delivery is off the charts amazing!
There isn't anything I don't like about working with VINYL.
VINYL has been a great way for us to add companion apps to our core operating systems. The integrations are working amazingly well and our business stakeholders have improved processes because of it.
The team that I work with for Vinyl is knowledgeable on the system and understanding of client needs.
I don't have anything that I dislike about Vinyl. The system works exactly as I would expect it to.
Vinyl has done everything from changing our onboarding from 30 pages to completely electronic. These new systems have made our productivity increase drastically.
Simple UI configuration with flexibility for any number of fields and navigations from one screen to other Low code to no code dev platform - plug & play Competitive with multiple other tools
Our integration with SAP requires APIs to be developed. This adds complexity to develop APIs with the backend tables Would be nice to have if the integration is made easier
Generally huge timeline is required for developments on RF. Setting up error messages, scroll buttons, back buttons on RF are easy to setup. Performance of platform is good as well
The team behind Vinyl, Zudy, has been extremely helpful with our endeavor. For the past few months, we have been working on quite a dynamic e-commerce app, and they have risen to every challenge we've thought up. The communication from their end is very efficient they've been ever cognizant of our budget and timeline.
Given our unique situation, the Vinyl Training hasn't been as successful for me as they don't have many examples of B2C. The "no/low code" changes I should be able to make will take a little more time to comprehend, but it really isn't that bad.
They have created a wonderful UI/UX app for our e-commerce business by connecting to Shopify, which is what we're based on.
The detailed process of breaking down our operations
Doesn’t sync in real-time with our systems but this is our internal flaw.
Vinyl is helping us to make extremely time-consuming processes faster and more streamlined for the many parties involved. We will have more time to focus on quality and improvement.
They listen to your needs and execute it perfectly.
I have absolutely 0 complaints about Brian or Isaac.
We are in the process of building a new platform for our field service program, the changes we have discussed and the implementation of this new application will be tremendously beneficial for day to day operations for our company.
US Space Force is a digital workforce. With the emphasis for personnel to be tech-savvy, Zudy’s low-code/no-code SW application allow citizen developers like myself (with little to no coding experience) to create a SW application to deliver operational capabilities at the speed of relevance. I was able to quickly learn how to create an application after completing Zudy Academy courses. The self-paced courses provided an excellent introduction of the Vinyl platform to learn about capabilities, APIs, Data Modeling and Business Logic. After creating my MVP in one weekend, Zudy’s team continued to provide outstanding support to continuously improve my application.
This is the first low-code/no-code platform I’ve used so I don’t have anything to compare Vinyl to. But I can’t think of any dislike/downsides of using Vinyl. Years ago, I tried to learn how to code myself via YouTube videos and various online courses, but honestly, I just couldn’t figure it out. There was so much information out there, I didn’t even know where to start. But with Zudy Academy, I was able to build upon what I learned to successfully create an application on my own.
We need to raise knowledge and advocacy for citizen developers across the Air Force and Space Force to create applications with little to no training to place innovation on the edge. My specific use case was to develop an application by creating an interactive marketplace for government users to seek out and find the best vendors out there to solve their problem, as well as provide a platform for vendors to demonstrate what they can bring to the table.
Vinyl offers a great ability to intake data from multiple sources and intuitively map key elements together to create a complete view of KPI's
Based on current initiatives underway, I have no complaints or dislikes
The initiatives we are focused on currently are centered around the organization and presentation of critical financial data. At a time when we are restructuring our internal systems and, at the same time, acquiring new companies, Vinyl's ability to aggregate, organize and present similar data from multiple systems into a single cohesive view has been extremely valuable
I enjoy working with the team. They are always very helpful and make sure they are constantly in reach. They do focus on the customer first and find solutions that are best for us and our end users
Really hard to find something I dislike. Coming up blank..
We are solving multiple items with VINYL. By using VINYL we have found a way to make our technology that has been around over 20+ years actually make it a commercial solution
Vinyl is very easy to integrate with many different systems and API's. Developing with Vinyl allows you to be creative because you are always finding different ways to accomplish what you need to do. With the latest UI/UX changes it has become even easier to learn and use Vinyl. The support team for Vinyl is excellent as well.
For those who do not have a relational database background, I think it would be helpful if Vinyl offered tips to users while building out their applications. For instance, calling out missing indexes and long running queries could help novice users tune their applications much quicker.
Using Vinyl I am able to solve numerous business problems along with keeping development costs at a minimum.
I like how fast and intuitive it is to use VINYL. My favorite thing, though, is that Zudy is always looking for ways it can improve its technology; this comes with an updated release of VINYL every 3 months.
I don't like that Vinyl doesn't allow full use of design elements. I will say, they are working on this.
created an application for a medical company needed a way for their users to get in line at a nearby medical facility from their phone. VINYL allows for quick app development
