It is an easy way to have all processes, procedures, and know-how in general in a centralized app. The look and feel are amazing and always you are able to find anything quickly and easily. The support team is amazing too.
I have two recommendations: 1- Price. Whale is a tool that every team member should have access to. It could be expensive for teams with a little budgets. 2- I would like a tool to make flow diagrams.
Whale is an easy way to keep our company culture alive and all processes and procedures up to date. It helps us to save time in the onboarding and training process whenever an employee joins our company.
Whale is very user-friendly and has pre-built templates that make design and flow seamless! Automated reminders make it easy to keep important information up to date for staff in our change-oriented organization. Whale also provides an easy-to-follow process for staff to get accustomed to using the product!
The only thing we have come across is a character limit on boards, so you do need to work around it if you have lengthy wording. Otherwise, the product has been phenomenal.
Whale has allowed us to document important processes and procedures that formerly were not documented. It increases communication across the organization allowing staff members to quickly find information in real time.
Whale allows for a neat and organized place to document all processes and procedures. The ability to add in embedded video and images all from the builder helps streamline the documentation process. The platform can be setup to tell you when it is time to review all of your documentation at an interval you determine. No more forgetting about having to review your SOPs. The assignment function in Whale is great. When something is updated or new, you can assign that SOP to the team for review and the system tells you who has and hasn't completed the training. Overall it is a game changer for our company. All SOPs in one place, everything documented and the automations will make onboarding a new hire so much more efficient.
So far have I have no found anything I dislike about the platform. It is easy to use, intuitive and extremely user friendly.
With Whale we no longer are searching for training material. Everything is in one place and there are no duplicates of training documents.
We can house all of our company information, processes, etc., and it is a great learning tool for onboarding new team members.
Nothing to dislike! Whale offers everything we need.
It is solving the need for companies to give access to important company information to their employees as a one-stop shop.
Whale is easy to use because it is intuitive and follows a logical flow. Answers are easy to find using the reference tools provided, but if you are stuck, the Customer Success Team is great. They are friendly and responsive!
So far, I have not encountered any major flaws. I do wish that the rich text editor had more features, but there are a good number for now, which is great. I know they are constantly improving based on customer feedback!
We partnered with Whale because we did not have all of our policies and procedures documented in writing in one place. As a start-up, we were finding that employees had to go to too many sites/people to find the information they needed. Whale is helping us solve this issue.
User-friendly design. Focus is on the essentials of effective knowledge-sharing / No unnecessary complicated frills.
We are still in the implementation phase right now. So far, no problems have arisen.
Whale helps us to connect our departments better, share new knowledge across the company, and shorten the onboarding time for new employees.
Whale is a very user-friendly tool that is easy to use and implement. Also, the whale team is very supportive and open to improvements.
Nothing so far. Everything works great. Thanks
Whale helps us to bundle and manage all our internal knowledge.
We are a very process-oriented firm and came to Whale with hundreds of process documents already created. Whale is helping us optimize and go to the next level! We find Whale easy and intuitive to set up, navigate, and use, and the customer support has been AMAZING. Even though, we are still onboarding—and so do not yet have our final structure in place—we can already find ANY process document within a few seconds (using Whale's handy search feature). Finally, Stino is a delight to work with. Our firm did the Success Services package (where Whale does the migration for you—recommended), so Stino and I have been in regular contact over a series of meetings plus emails. The Whale team is very responsive, encouraging, and knowledgeable—and Stino has kept things both moving along and fun.
Almost nothing! The few things that have come up for us (such as a wish to integrate with Dropbox), Stino has assured us are already on the Developers' "feedback wall." We anticipate seeing continued new features and upgrades as Whale grows.
Whale is helping us organize LARGE amounts of processes—easily! We are a very process-centric firm, and—prior to Whale—our large library of process documentation was filed in Word and PDF documents, which were not easy to navigate. In contrast, Whale has made everything searchable and user-friendly. Also, with Whale, it is much easier to create, request, and share new documentation.
Very easy, not overloaded. Chrome Extension
So far nothing, but I'm just at the beginning. Not sure, if when we quit this Tool, where our knowledge-data will go.
Knowledge transfer with in our company.
Whale is excellent no matter what stage of process documentation a company is in. They make it easy to document processes and even easier for employees to follow them. With the browser extension, you can access all of your business processes no matter where you do your work (email, CRM, ticketing system, etc.)
While the editor is reasonably robust, it does not play well with Microsoft Word. The formatting does not carry over well to or from Whale.
Whale is helping get our processes in front of the people who need to be reading them. It's also helping us to delegate process ownership to subject matter experts, ensuring that our processes contain accurate and timely information.
