I manage all of the content for a SAAS help center, which includes live webinars and 75+ short instructional videos that are pretty regularly updated. Wistia makes it so easy to manage that video content with the project folders, easy to use tools to enhance the videos with chapters and in-video action buttons, options to replace media with new versions and archive old content without losing it completely. I also love the automated transcript and captioning tools, which help me make the video content more accessible. Could not do my job nearly this well without Wistia!

My only complaint is that for their live webinar hosting tools, each webinar has its own registration link. We used to use a different program that allowed us to have one persistent registration link for our ongoing weekly live webinar where clients could select their desired upcoming date and we didn't have to have separate links for each session. Wistia's live hosting tools are still a pretty new feature though, so hopefully this is an option they'll consider adding in the future. All of the other live webinar tools, especially the embedded chat and Q&A tools are vastly superior to our previous provider, though.

It helps me manage my help center's video content and offers great tools for me to ensure the content is professional looking and capable of being embedded directly in my help center. Makes my job easier!

Video is easy to upload. The main features we use include: selecting a thumbnail, determining what the playback video options are, removing comments, embedding it into the website and branding the video with our colors and look. They've recently added AI that allows for auto-transcripts and captions.

The price of Wistia has substantially increased which may be a barrier to entry for some.

The web service we use doesn't have a native video upload that works for us, so we use Wistia for embedding videos onto our external website and hosting videos in our LMS. We've also used it to record live video conversations as a split screen.

Wistia's interface is what I like most about it. I am also love how easy it is to replace a video while maintaining existing stats. It is really easy to track analytics and see what type of videos perform best. Wistia is feauture-rich allowing us to add turnstiles and calls to action. I use Wistia nearly every day, and it works really well with the goals of my organization.

I don't know what I'd change about Wistia.

Wistia allows for easy data gathering about video performance, and it is an extremely user-friendly video host.

Several aspects of thi splatform are great, first, the videos are secured, and can be hidden from SEO's like GOOGLE and others. Keep your corporate videos private! The editing features in Project makes online edit (althoug somewhat liimted) ver easy and quick. The video properties, like thumbnails, controls, call outs and closed captions are awesome.

I wish teh editing features in WISTIA's prpjct were avalbile in Channels as well and to be be a litlle more functions to it. Splitting videos, etc...

Allows us to offer videos in a secured way, no SEO listings and also pricing is great for the amount of videos we have, it would costs significantly more if we had to use our own video sever.

Wistia is easy to use and they also continue to innovate and creating new features. I love their transcription feature within the platform where you can get closed caption of the video in lightning speed. Wistia also creates a lot of high quality content to help video marketers.

Their videos are not indexed as well as youtube, the entire world is watching youtube and so people just search on youtube for content. Your own webpage is not going to be indexed as well as Youtube.

Youtube videos are limited in a way to allow customization but wistia allows us to work around it and it's great for webinars and long form video content. It's also got better tracking and analytics

I especially like that I can easily upload and share videos, and customize the player. I also really like Wistia's analytics capabilities.

I can't think of anything I dislike about Wistia at this time.

Wistia is our solution for hosting and sharing videos. It also provides us with detailed analytics that we can't get from YouTube. We've been using it for years.

Wisita is simple to use, highly customizable and lightning fast. The analytics capabilities within the tool are really well built as well. I have used a couple cometitors in the past that weren't nearly as steamlined and easy to use as Wistia.

There isn't anything I dislike about Wistia. I have been using it for over 6 years across a couple different companies. I see no reason to use a different video hosting tool.

We host all of our website and email videos within video. We needed a tool that was easy to use, customizable and fast.

I love how easy is it to upload a video to Wistia and then share it anywhere I need to. I can then gather data on who has watched my videos and for how long. They even have a great service for captioning my videos so that our Deaf and Hard of Hearing members can also watch our videos.

I haven't run into anything negative with Wistia! It meets all the needs we had for a video hosting service.

Wistia gives us a place to host our videos that isn't necessarily public. It also makes it easier to track if our sales prospects are actually watching the info videos we send out.

Easy to use and train new team members on. One less thing we need to worry about.

Support is hard to get a hold of a person, generally, it's not an issue since the product is so easy to navigate but something to be aware of if you are a new user coming into it. They used to send me free t-shirts but that stopped.

Wistia is very user-friendly and easy to use and manage, especially for our Sales people. We also like the ability to generate automated captions as srt files and transcripts. Love how easy it is to embed links and to update them via the 'Replace Media' functionality when they need to be updated, without having to do it manually. Haven't had the need to use CHannels yet, but I like that feature as well for doing a series of episodes.

Would like the option to get the automated caption files as .vtt file format in addition to .srt files. Would like more options to create and organize sections on a project page. Would like the ability to create custom branded client pages within our Wistia account. Would like better, more robust search functionality.

Video reviews and approvals, sometimes delivery to clients via download, but especially as a Sales & Marketing tool to send out links to demo videos, embed in PowerPoint pitches, etc. We also embed in client branded webpages that we create outside of Wistia.

I like how easy it is to upload webinars, replays, or any other video that we have into the platform easily. I also like how we can add transcripts, captions, and thumbnails and those can automatically update anywhere that the video has been embedded. We've been using Wistia for many years now and it has made it so easy to have one place with all of our videos and easily embed them on our website.

We were originally on grandfathered pricing so now that the pricing is going up, it does feel like a significant jump for us. It no longer seems to be the cheapest on the market like it was when we started. But we have had no other complaints so we've stuck with it.

Wistia is allowing us to put our videos on our website and have it actually use our branding. We can adjust the player color per video or across many videos easily. We can add captions or transcripts quickly and the back end has made it really easy for us to find videos that we're looking for.

Wistia is Better than YouTube, for company videos. Wisita provides the capability to add the ADA or Adult with Disabilities Act files for our property website videos for Greystar/greystar.com. Wistia makes everything so easy under the "Customize" section to upload the Audio Description and Caption files. I like the connection with 3Play Media for saving the captions and transcript. With YouTube, I have to add a second video and include the wording " with Audio Description" in the title of each video. It can be a lot of work at times. Thank you very much for this feature.

Not being able to return to my previous search after searching for a video. And I would like the capability to purchase a "Wistia" in the Metalica font t-shirt. Not having the ability of a private channel that others cannot see videos uploaded.

Making video posting to our website, greystar.com so easy. It helps with my workflow, outside of my video posting duties.

Customizability for colors, thumbnails and HTML/descriptions. I also like how easy they are to share, embed and you don't get inundated with similar video suggestions.

It is a great tool to store and organize video content for our businesses. From sales materials to learning resources its our go-to service for video hosting.

The older version took a substantial amount of time to encode videos. The latest version works much better.

It solves video hosting and streaming for our business.

I love their captioning service, which continues to improve. The AI-generated captions are now 92% accurate and free! This is an improved service because it used to be less accurate and cost 25 cents per minute. Use this as just one example of how Wistia continues to make its platform better for its users.

When we upload transparent videos to wistia, it displays with a default black background with no option to change this.

The Wistia interface is intuitive without being cluttered. A new user can jump in and start using it immediately and with a few minutes of training, can be a super-user. It is easy to upload, arrange and manage files. I love that I can customize the embedded videos with my preferred thumbnails and window size. The feedback through the metrics is easy to interpret and separate the data. Their support staff is amazing and did everything in their power to make sure we were set up with best practices and help with questions at the drop of a hat.

Everything about Wistia has been great for our team, zero complaints.

Wistia is solving our video file management issues. The videos are easy to upload and retrieve later, as well as embed and customize how they are presented to the viewer.

The ability for a marketer to easily do things like customize thumbnail, add alt text, add annotations, edit title and descriptions, and get responsive embed codes for placing the video in blog/email/website content. The efficiency of the 'automated' features like being optimized for website page speed performance and that the search engine meta data is automatically packaged with the video to improve website SEO; auto-generated captions with the ability to correct any typos; embeddable channels-like experience so you can easily showcase all your videos on your website in a way that benefits SEO instead of just using YouTube. HubSpot integration features such as lead-gen forms and property sync so you can lead score and nurture based on video metrics. Wistia customer support is awesome when issues do arise!

Analytics are somewhat limited and the project folder structure isn't super intuitive — it's sometimes glitchy to move a video from one project to another.

Being able to host and embed videos on our website in a system that is optimized for search engines and integrates with our CMS and CRM. As a result we can generate website traffic and engage leads from our videos.

Wistia is found the perfect balance for a video hosting platform: it is simple to use for staff and viewers, while having the exact set of analytics we need to make our videos more effective. They resisted overcomplicating their offering, keeping it tight, practical, and wildly useful. Integrations with other systems like Hubspot are massively time-saving. We now use it for everything; lead capture for marketing videos, chaptered long-form webinars, internal documentation - the works. This is my favorite platform in our marketing stack.

Nothing. The platform hits all our needs.

We get deep insight into our customer journey; what content our prospect engage with in a macro sense (which videos they are engaging with) and in a micro-sense (which portions of a video are they rewinding or skipping.) It helps us to focus on what matters most.

It can be pricey, but worth the investment. We have been grandfathered into our pro account, but that still limits some of our integrations.

The ability to customize our videos and ensure hosting content without the worry of the embedded player trying to take users to other videos, off our site, or remove our content.

The ability to store videos and repurpose them in so many ways.

The pricing tends to be a bit high at times, especially for extra video storage, but other than that, I haven't encountered any significant blockers with Wistia.

Storing all our marketing videos & content in one place, while also allowing us to add CTAs to videos and get contacts to take action throughout the video.

The player always works and looks fantastic, but it's all about the data. By connecting with Marketo, we're able to see which cookied contact have viewed videos and use that data to inform marketing focus and our sales funnel.

Their podcast product is a bit lacking, it doesn't show as many metrics as other hosting platforms. Reporting video plays across social media channels is weak too.

They recently made a big splash in a live video / webinar product, which seems like a really great start. Zoom is still better if you pay for all the live event features, but I'm excited to see how they develop further.

Wistia helps us produce Marketing and Enablement content that are distributed widely to both customers and prospects.

We love the analyitics that we can see on who's watching our videos, where they're watching, how long they're watching for and when they're re-watching. In addition, I love the fact we can customise the player colour, thumbnail, video thumbnail and what shows on the playbar.

So you've recently changed it so when we upload a video, captions are automatically turned off, when we need them always on - so we have to remember to go and turn them on - we're a video production company and use the hosting platform to share our videos to our clients when they're in draf and revision stages...so we always need the comments on. Also, we'd like to be able to force the player to always play in 1080p or 4K where possible, as sometimes our videos can look low-res when clients see them for the first time...

We can share our videos with our clients for their comments and feedback during the production process, and host our videos for marketing purposes on our website.

What I like most about Wistia is how user-friendly it is, the communication from the company in their marketing emails, the fact that they are constantly improving their product, and coming out with new features and resources, and their customer service.

There aren't many downsides to using Wistia that I can think of. If I had to pick one thing, I wish you were able to change the company URL slug without effecting all projects already stored on various sites.

Wistia is solving how to mass store videos in one place while keeping the space organized and accessible to all team members who use it. I also love that they just came out with a webinar feature.

Their UI/UX and many resources make me feel valued as a customer. I also must tip my hat to their customer service and support team.

I wish the video analytics were a bit more robust. I would also love the potential ability to order transcripts in other languages, though!

Wistia makes hosting videos look very clean and "on-brand." I have used Wistia for 2 companies now and am a promoter of their product. Their service & product make it easy to manage our video repository.

We can have our videos live no matter what happened as we are posting sex toys videos that are not explicit but from time to time, Youtube is banning our videos. Which is not good for our brand.

To be honest there is no thing that I dislike

It is giving good statistics and it can be easily integrated and embedded into a website.
