It's a lot easier to make a form look pretty with WPForms than it was with Gravity Forms. The builder also looks more modern and it is an overall cleaner experience. All in all, if you liked Gravity Forms but were annoyed that it looks like the GUI was pulled out of 2005, then you need to try WPForms. If you keep running into weird issues with Gravity Forms where your conditional logic causes strange conflicts, then you need to try WPForms. If you're still using Contact Form 7 for some reason, good grief mate - use WPForms!
Not quite as many integrations or ability to implement 'weird client requests' like I can in Gravity Forms, but for 99% of situations, it works really well with less conflicts or problems right out of the box. My default is essentially "Use WPForms unless I have a reason to use Gravity Forms" - and as someone who used GF for many years before trying WPForms, I can assure you that is a big change and speaks volumes to how much more fluid, streamlined and user friendly that WPForms is.
Limitations and clunkyness of Gravity Forms were the main reason I wanted to try out WPForms. It's a lot more expensive, but it saves us a lot of time, and it just looks prettier right out of the box (for both the front and back end).
The default styling of the form is very nice and applicable to many common website styles, unlike some other form plugins. If you want to customize certain parts, the clear class hierarchy makes adjusting things easy.
There could be even more features to the pricing system — for example, being able to have product quantities etc. and multiple products that are linked to the total price. So I guess making this form more viable for selling custom services and products would make it even more amazing.
Getting feedback from clients and making questionnaires for projects where client input prior to starting is needed.
It works as a standard form and preforms great but with the addons it really shines. The payment options in forms you create, the conversational addon and the mail options are fantastic
It isn’t cheap, we are a small company and it’s is a lot off money. That said I think it is worth it.
It’s the only form tool that I know off that has all the options. I just have to use 1 plug-in to create all our different form and subscription needs
It is pretty easy and intuitive to use with integrations and add-ons. I think I like the user journey addon the most
Having liked the the user journey addon the most it is also one of the sources of what i dislike the most. What I dislike is that you have to put forth intensive effort to process the user journey data to create any kind of meaningful insight from the data. Becuase the data mining is on a individual entry viewing...its crazy. Its useful but would be at least 80% more useful if it had advance sorting and preview modes to save who knows how many hours.
Form submits make it easy to bridge the gap between lead, prospect and customer.
I tried many form builder plugins till I'm satisfied with WPForms. I have been using it since 2018 because it is powerful tool and the only plugin need to build form. As photographer, I need automation processes for contracts to gather information. The reasons why I like WPForm in the followings: 1- Integrations 3rd party plugins 2- Drag and drop and no coding knowledge needed 3- Professional support team 4- Easy to use and and friendly 5- Easy configurations 6- Introducing new and more advanced features regularly 7- Smart Conditional Logic
As a photographer, some functions are hard to customize and not full support for the United Arab Emirates especailly for small business size. The reasons why I dislike WPForm in the followings: 1- The features of calendars/dates/times are limited for example pay 2- The payment getway is still limited 3- The price is a bit pricey, and I did not see discount offer for renewal. 1- The features of calendars/dates/times are limited for example pay 2- The payment getway is still limited 3- The price is a bit pricey, and I did not see discount offer for renewal.
I'm using 3rd party ApproveMe eSignature for autmation proccess of photography contracts and Survey
The user interface is much cleaner than other competitors.
Wish the pricing was a little better for all features.
Complex forms with conditional fields.
I love how using a quick form can make getting the clients info much easier! This way I have all their contact info in writing and there is no chance of spell errors with their names. Plus I can refer back to the form for their travel preferences.
Nothing yet, so far everything is working well.
The only problem, is that I had to upgrade to pro to save my forms.
Tons of features, very easy to use. I particularly like the WP Forms SMTP add on feature for WP emails, super easy to track emails in my Ultimate member site. The import/export feature and logs are also helpful. Excited to try the Stripe payment integration too.
Wish it could connect directly with Infusionsoft, but I can use Zapier to do that too.
Track emails for ultimate member account emails, like password reset requested.
Support got right back to me with helpful information that solved my issue. Plugins are great until you get stuck, then you're usually abandoned. Support is high on my list of reasons to stick with a plugin. WP Forms is very feature-rich, more than you think you'll need until you discover how useful they can be. I just discovered I could send a custom thank-you for every form I created.
I think the feature set is carved up too much in pricing tiers. I feel I'm often getting up-sold with greyed out feature sets that I need to purchase. Small businesses or website designers who do a lot of pro-bono work for friend's micro-businesses can't afford to purchase all the features a-la-carte. Maybe allowing features to be used on up 10 sites would be helpful for those cases.
Handling forms more professionally. Nice looking confirmation emails, thank you emails and being able to collect the data in CSV format.
The forms have lots of options and are easy to customize without tons of shortcodes or confusion. After using Contact Form 7 for many years this has been a welcomed change.
I dislike the pricing structure and how expensive it is for what I consider to be pretty basic features. However, if you need these things and want an easy way to implement it the cost might be worth it for you. I would like the structure much more as a one time fee but what can you do.
It's just much easier to customize and format than contact form 7 or most other form makers I have used for WP.
Flexibility, and the ability to add shopping cart and other conditional fields relatively easily. Also, stores data on my server to be used later. The nice part of this paid plugin is that everything I need is available without adding other 3rd party plugins.
Captcha3 works correctly only 50% of the time. Had to remove Captcha to stop submit from failing until submitted twice. Also, the PayPal connector requires extra setup that can be confusing for a novice user.
Very easy to create forms and store data as needed.
Makes form creation super simple and easy to get right.
Mailchimp integration requires a more costly subscription.
Sign up forms and Contact forms.
Very intuitive, easy to use and understand.
Took me a bit to understand how to customize. Was able to figure out through third-paty Youtube videos.
Easy to use and set up for my clients who need software that's intuitive. I was able to make up an easy-to-use guide. The problem solved was my "nonprofit" client needs a questionnaire to help figure out which department or person could best help out the form-filler.
I'm able to integrate WPForms with other applications to create a seamless workflow!
WPForms doesn't use a freemium model. The basic version doesn't have a lot of flexibility.
I use WPForms to catch leads and integrate those leads with my CRM.
WPForms has a nice and intuitive dashboard. What I like the most is that it's based on dropping and dragging items, allowing novice users to create forms. With this extension you can also easily insert the forms to the pages since they generate a short and easy to add code. Also, it is very easy to install since it is located in the WordPress directory. On the other hand, I also highlight that it is compatible with all versions of WP, even the most recent ones.
The only thing I dislike about WPForms is its price that I consider is a bit high, considering that there are other options in the WordPress directory that are completely free and with similar features.
In the past we used to show our email in the footer of our website, but most of the time we did not receive messages, as the process of copying the address and pasting it into your email application was cumbersome. We currently create forms with WPForms, where customers can send us messages directly from our website, which has greatly increased the number of messages they send us.
I like the way how forms are created, a simple and clear dashboard.
Honestly I've not yet found a bad behavior.
Contacts section is finally easy do manage and setup. The plugin itself is user friendly to install and activate.
Une façon efficace et conviviale de créer des formulaires même si certaines fonctionnalités pourraient être gratuites !
Un peu chère pour une un auto-entrepreneur.
No problem
Ease of use! It’s user friendly, thorough and well though out.
Nothing comes to mind. Maybe some of the custom CSS?
Contact and customer reach
I like that I can track who's visited my form page even if the form is abandoned. Allows me to follow up with potential customers
Lack of a direct link to the vendor website from the plugin
Abandoned form feature, increased customer contact
The way the dashboard works inside Wordpress is really easy without losing the advanced features of modern form building. Really love the conversational options (like Typeforms.com) it makes it great for customer interaction.
If I have to write something I like it probably will be the price. We are a small company and we think the price is a little high. But then again, at the end of the day it's all worth it!
When we want customer interaction we used to send emails with questions or try and call our customers, now we create a fast and engaging form and collect our data from the forms to analyze the responses (we use the Zapier intergration to get the resonses back in our software)
