In my opinion, Zoom is by the far the easiest platform to use, compared to Skype and Webex. It has a simple interface, and can be used on laptops and mobile devices. I like especially the feature where you can see a lot of participants at once (if everyone is using their video cameras). Makes for a dynamic meeting/call.
If using a browser to access a meeting, it does not keep you in a "waiting room". So it your meeting host is not on you have to keep retrying until they begin the meeting, unlike other platforms that have you wait in a queue to be accepted in.
We are utilizing Zoom to have meetings and with small and large groups of people. Allowing for interaction from participants. It has been a great replacement for in-person meetings.
I received a link via email on February 28 from a recruiter to register for Zoom in order to have a video interview with her. Registration was very easy. The day after I registered, the recruiter sent me a link to connect with her via Zoom. I used the webcam on top of my desktop computer for the audio and video. The sound and picture were very clear, and the recruiter was able to see and hear me clearly.
At first I couldn't figure out how to enlarge the image of the recruiter after I connected with them. After I clicked the icon to enlarge the image, it looked like "letterboxing" of a movie on a TV screen, that is, it was a horizontal bar with empty space above and below the bar. I would have preferred the image to be full-screen.
I had a one to one video interview with a recruiter for an open position. This was much more convenient than commuting to the recruiter's office. And it was much more personal than a phone call.
Every Tuesday we meet with several clients, and having the ability to trade notes and plan the next week out with each other in a group setting has been exceptional for everyone
I really dont have a downside of Zoom. Zoom has been well for us in all aspects
No problems as of date. It has raised client engagement tremendously
It's very easy to schedule a meeting and get access instructions to all parties. It's a great option for presentations as well as simple conference calls. It's nice to be able to record the screen for later reference.
I dislike that there are dedicated "conference lines" so that our company only has a specific number available for use. Because of this, there's a cap on the number of meetings that can occur at one time, which can cause some scheduling headaches.
It's really useful for doing presentations with satellite groups, as well as scheduling phone calls between international numbers who might otherwise have trouble reaching one another. Overall team productivity has increased and we are able to get our services in front of more people without the need for extensive travel.
I think it's very user-friendly. It's nice to have your own zoom room for your team, and it's easy to integrate on slack. It makes online meetings exciting! As opposed to stressful like skype.
I wish it had an easy and fast meeting login on its homepage that is easy to share with others, like the blue jeans app does.
I've realized that meetings with your teammates can be enjoyable! I never thought I would be able to share screens so easily and even grant control of my screen to others. It's prime technology and makes me think about collaboration a lot more deeply.
What I love about zoom is that the video is crystal clear. Almost no hangups!
The share meeting link gets confusing. I wish this was a little more user friendly.
It makes a great alternative to hangouts! Plus the 40 minutes free covers most meetings.
The ability to schedule meetings and presentation features.
There are only 40 minutes on the free version although it says an hour.
Connecting with customers and providing product demonstrations with out lag
The user interface is easily explained. Highly reliable even with questionable internet.
Freemium is limited. Wish was more affordable in bulk.
Providing easily run and found webinars for clients.
Zoom is user friendly, fast, easy to user for clients and the video and audio work seamlessly. You have he ability to record, have multiple colleagues or customers share the screen, there is a chat option and you are also able to provide large webinars for online events, the usage reports are also very handy to have a look at participants and export the information if needed. I use Zoom regularly for our customer meetings and i have never had a single complaint. 100% recommendable and better than many I have tried out there.
There is currently no glitch or issue i find with Zoom, everything works as it should and I have never had any problems with it, so there isn't anything I dislike from this software
We are spread in several countries and need a reliable, quick, instant video/audio software to speak with customers and colleagues alike, with Zoom we have been able to smooth communication and bring colleagues closer and have a quicker communication channel with customers
I like the layout of the screens when meeting with multiple people.
Not much about it is bad at all. It free and works amazingly.
I am able to meet with different people from other states.
I have only used Zoom a few times at work, but it has been a great tool. I have used it to sell products to customers. You can either do a live video chat with a customer on a product demo or you can record yourself giving a demo and send a link to a customer.
The only thing I dislike about Zoom is that you cannot edit your video or pause and play during the video. If you make a mistake you have to completely restart your video, this makes it challenging to get a perfect shot.
You are saving time and money. For example, if you do a product demo you do not have to visit the customer or take time out of their day. They can watch the video when convenient to them.
Collaborate with team members who is another side of the world and able to see the screen while you explaining the issue to gain better understanding and increase productivity
The other team member who’s invited to the zoom meeting will have to download zoom to be able to proceed which could be inconvenient for someone who only need to use once
Bring two person who is at a different space into the same screen to be easy to collaborate, team members who work remotely still able to attend meetings
Ease in connecting. Having an "instant" meeting room. Clarity and stability of connection.
I really need breakout rooms that are more than discussions: I need the whiteboards in breakout rooms to be persistent during the meeting, even when everyone leaves the room, so people can go back and get some of the data they brainstormed in the small group and bring it to the main whiteboard.
I participate in or facilitate many remote meetings. One day we had a serious ice storm, and we were able to tell people to stay home for safety, and still have the critical meeting virtually on Zoom.
Easy to record meetings Screen sharing Ability to see participants as they are speaking Easy to chat with participants during the meeting Easy to identify who is speaking even when they are not seen
There is nothing much to dislike about this tool. The only thing that I've found is that the tool is inconsistent in remembering my settings. Sometimes it automatically puts me on mute and disables my video and sometimes it doesn't remember and I have to manually do it.
Our development resources are located throughout the country. Zoom allows us to conduct meetings face to face and reduces the barriers. You are able to see the individuals speaking and what they are presenting simultaneously.
Zoom offers ease of use for both business and clients in a sleek and modern format. I really like the ability to stream live from zoom!
I dislike the difficulty of creating different rooms
Zoom allows me to easily meet with clients all over the world
I primarily use Zoom Video Webinar to set up meetings for my Account Representatives. It's extremely easy to set it up for them, and easy for their prospects to follow directions in which to use.
There is nothing I dislike about using Zoom.
Zoom allows me to set up screen-sharing videos with my prospects. We also use it internally when people work remote, or to connect with coworkers in international offices.
Easy to use, the same usability as the Zoom meeting
Only one admin can view the back-end - the collaboration functionalities is not as good as others
Easy to set up B2B webinars
One of the great things about Zoom events and webinars is that they are incredibly convenient
Technical issues like poor internet connectivity or audio problems can sometimes interfere with the experience.
Geographic barriers: Traditional in-person events are often limited by geography, which can make it difficult for people who live in remote areas or who cannot travel to attend. Zoom events and webinars eliminate this barrier by allowing people from all over the world to participate.
