"Review for Adobe Illustrator"
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

One of my go-to tools for making campaigns. Adobe has multiple tools and a large variety ranging from fonts to templates that allow for customizability as per my choice. Their templates and designs make it so easy to draw up a marketing campaign; right from infographics, to something as complicated as creating brand logos- this is the perfect place for it.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

It takes a while to understand and get used to it, it took me about a good month to get comfortable around the tools offered by Adobe. I wold say that's it, one needs time and patience to get working around this software.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

Helps create professional work on print, saves time, and offers great tools all in one place

"There is nothing quite like it!"
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

I have been using Illustrator since version CS3 way back in 2007. I have tried other tools for vectorization but there is nothing quite like it. The newest features are great, and the tracing tool is a must have!

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

I have encountered random crashes when dealing with large files, but that is to be expected somewhat. The automatic document recovery makes it not so much of a problem.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

Vectorizing rasterized images to be scaled up or down for better quality logos, etc.. It is also great at tracing rasterized images, for which there is nothing else that works as well.

"Best Vector-graphic designing software around with minor takeways"
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

The absolute best vector design tool that exists- whether the ability to fully customise the tiniest bit in your creations or the ability to use the simplified free transform tool and the epic puppet warp tool is just what a creator needs

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

If you are a regular adobe user, learning key commands is a must and the thing that illustrator lacks is key combinations uniformity. Would be great to have a perpetual license too !!

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

Creation! The goto vector design tool to help any genre / community/ workforce to go freehand with vectors and give life to all your illustrations. The very ability to use the canvas like a mood-board to evaluate concepts and touch interface support that lets us trace images is just what anyone would think of !

"The most amazing vector software on the market!"
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

Where do I begin? Whatever you can imagine doing, you can create it in Illustrator, combine that with the suite of tools in Adobe's Creative Cloud and you have a winning formula for all your design needs.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

The only thing that drives me nuts is at various times during working on a file, the resizing handles will disappear from the type/picture boxes. I don't know if I am hitting some key that disables them, but I have to uninstall the software and throw away all preferences, then re-install the software. Not a major hardship but it is more of an annoyance really.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

Logo creation, typography effects for titles etc. vector illustrations for our various projects, and large artwork for banners, posters etc. Combined with my other Adobe software it is indispensable.

"Adobe Illustrator: A Designer's Best Friend"
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

Having delved deep into the world of graphic design tools, Adobe Illustrator stands out as a paragon of vector graphic editing. Here's what I love most about it: Precision and Control: Illustrator's pen tool and other drawing tools offer unparalleled precision. Whether you're crafting intricate illustrations or simple icons, the control it provides is unmatched. Vector-Based Graphics: The beauty of vector graphics is that they can be scaled up or down without losing quality. Illustrator excels in this domain, allowing designers to create logos, illustrations, and graphics that look crisp at any size. Wide Range of Tools: From gradient meshes to shape builders, Illustrator boasts a plethora of tools that cater to both beginners and professionals. The software is versatile enough to handle a wide variety of design tasks. Integration with Adobe Suite: Being a part of the Adobe family, Illustrator integrates seamlessly with other Adobe products like Photoshop, InDesign, and After Effects. This makes the design workflow smooth and efficient. Customizable Workspace: Every designer has their unique workflow, and Illustrator acknowledges this by allowing users to customize their workspace. Whether you're into typography, illustration, or web design, you can tailor the interface to your needs. Regular Updates: Adobe consistently rolls out updates for Illustrator, introducing new features, refining existing ones, and ensuring compatibility with the latest hardware and software. Extensive Learning Resources: Whether you're a newbie or a seasoned pro, there's always something new to learn. Adobe offers a wealth of tutorials, forums, and resources to help users get the most out of Illustrator. In conclusion, Adobe Illustrator is not just a tool; it's a canvas that brings a designer's vision to life. Its blend of power, flexibility, and precision makes it an indispensable asset in the graphic design world.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

Adobe Illustrator is undeniably a leader in the vector graphic design space, but like all software, it has its quirks and challenges. Here are some aspects that users often find less appealing: Steep Learning Curve: For beginners, Illustrator can be overwhelming. The plethora of tools, options, and settings means that it can take considerable time and effort to become proficient. Subscription Model: Adobe's shift to a subscription-based model for its software suite means users have to pay a recurring fee to use Illustrator. This can be off-putting for freelancers and small businesses who might prefer a one-time purchase. Performance Issues: On older hardware or less powerful systems, Illustrator can sometimes lag, especially when working with complex designs or large files. Complexity: While its vast array of tools is a strength, it can also be a drawback. Some users feel that certain tasks are more complicated than they need to be. File Sizes: Illustrator files (.ai) can become quite large, especially when they contain numerous layers, embedded images, or complex vectors. This can make sharing or storing files cumbersome. Limited Raster Editing Capabilities: While Illustrator is primarily a vector tool, there are times when raster editing is necessary. Users often have to switch to Adobe Photoshop for these tasks, which can disrupt the workflow. Compatibility Issues: While Illustrator is great for creating, it's not always seamless when importing or exporting to other formats or software. There can be issues with gradients, effects, or fonts that don't translate perfectly. Cost: For many, the cost of an Adobe subscription, especially when bundled with other Adobe products, can be a significant investment. There are cheaper, and even free, alternatives available that might suit the needs of some users. In summary, while Adobe Illustrator is a robust and versatile tool, it's essential to weigh its capabilities against its challenges. It's perfect for many, but for some, the drawbacks might lead them to explore alternative software.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

Scalability: Illustrator's vector design prevents pixelation upon enlargement, essential for logos and branding. Benefit: Designs remain high-quality across sizes and platforms. Design Precision: Illustrator offers tools like the pen for detailed designs. Benefit: Achieve exact design visions. Branding and Identity: Consistent branding is vital across platforms. Benefit: Create consistent branding materials like logos. Typography: Custom typography design can be intricate. Benefit: Advanced tools for tailored typography. Cross-Platform Design: Designers work on diverse projects. Benefit: Seamless integration with other Adobe products for a streamlined process. Custom Illustrations: Stock images may not always suffice. Benefit: Craft original illustrations fitting the project's needs. Prototyping and Wireframing: Visual prototypes are crucial before product development. Benefit: Detailed wireframes for better project visualization.

"Really, it's the best vector program out there"
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

Best thing about Illustrator is the ability to create scalable vector images. It's the go-to tool for so much of my design work. It's great working with text, too.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

The subscription model is a bummer. I'd rather just pay for the software once.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

I frequently use it to recreate pixelated raster images into a vector format.

"Fantastic Software with the absolute best customer support"
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

I love the new features that are constantly being added, along with the short tutotrials and email updates talking about new features. In addition to the features, I have to acknowledge Adobe for having some of the best customer support I've ever received. I have never waited long to talk to a real person, and each time I've needed support they are able to resolve my issue promptly and professionally.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

There have been times where I found Illustrator to be challenging, but once I learned how to set up my Workspace to my own preferences and workflows, it became much easier.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

Adobe Illustrator has been actively solving the issue of creating vector graphics that are either simple or incredibly complex. There have been so many updates over the years that have made this one of the most versitile programs for graphic designers and artists.

"A application for the designers and art enthusiast"
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

The features that Adobe Illustrator provides me and that i like best is in terms of it user interface and the set of tools that help me create vector files. It has helped me make graphical representation of ideas very easily. Also i have use the illustrator app on my redmi notepad and i found it really appealing specifically the play store app version. It has become a go to app for me for any kind of graphical represntation and illustrations.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

Initailly after the shift from Photoshop to Illustrator it was very hard for me to understand the tools and i had to work on the application for longer time to understand and learn how to use it. Other than the patience it requires to know how to work on this application there is nothing to dislike about it.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

As an architect there are times when my clients expect me to give them a vivid view or a generic colour templete immediately of their elevations or interiors and this is where illustrator plays an importatnt roll for me. It not only helps me give them an overview of their elevation. Also the feature that has helped me the most of adobe illustrator is that the scaling actually does not harm the print or digital file as it never pixelates.

"Illustrator is a MUST HAVE for any Type of Designer"
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

Illustrator can be utilized by designers who work in print, motion, web and 3D! It is absolutely the top product for creating and editing vector-based artwork. It is versatile across ALL mediums that I've touched in my 19 years of graphic design work.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

Very little to dislike in Illustrator. It does have some strange work-arounds when it comes to exporting and adapting vectors to work within external applications (Cinema 4D and strangely, After Effects), but it WORKS and the steps are few and simple. The latest updates seem to be buggy and have made the app run slow, but Adobe usually addresses these issues in a smaller update. (This happens on a regular basis, so be aware of upgrading immediately!)

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

As I stated before, Illustrator is a MUST HAVE for any design/creation work in any industry. There are countless times where some type of file needed conversion or exported into a different format to bring into an external software. Almost 90% of the time Illustrator has provided the workaround.

"Best graphics editor for artists, designers & content creators"
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

- Recently they rolled out generative recolor feature in illustrator this tool helps in creating endless color combinations in a few seconds (works on Adobe AI). -Ilustrator creates attractive logos and artworks that can be printed on t shirts directly. -Can create vectors by extracting contours of images. -Sufficient documentation available over the web.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

Application requires latest and high end hardware & it consumes plenty of resources such as RAM & CPU. Illustrator is no longer supported on machines having less than 8GB RAM.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

Adobe illustrator can create graphics suitable for team emails and org websites, we also use it to create and send graphics that we require on our org t shirts.

What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

-Application has a Share for review feature by the help of which team collaboration is possible. Created designs & logos can be shared with others & changes can be reviewed. -Ilustrator also supports realistic 3d effects, lighting & textures (also links with Adobe substance 3d assets). -With the new intertwine feature we can loop or overlap texts and objects together. -Plenty of documentation available over the web and the application also has a learn tab with several useful resources.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

-RAM hungry application, no longer Supports old hardware. -There's no dedicated app available but there's a web based trimmed down version that's available. -Ilustrator's subscription plans are expensive.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our logo & graphics team was struggling with the web based apps until we started using Adobe illustrator. Although it requires a bit of a learning but after that it's pretty easy to use. It can create graphics with just few clicks and transform 2d to 3d & vice versa. Feature set is so rich that it covers all aspects of graphics designing.

"As a developer: this is so great"
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

I have used Photoshop before. As well as Lightroom, After Effects and Premiere Pro. I'm kind of an "I do too much guy". My workflow for adding animations for my mobile apps includes After Effects + Illustrator, then Lottie to generate the JSON file. It's great for any user, I might say. It is not as straightforward as other professional tools like Photoshop, but it goes with similar tools, which helps on the way.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

Even if Illustrator is as good as I need for my needs, it has a recurrent problem as any other Adobe program and is the subscription mode, but that's not it. The learning curve as I said, is not as straightforward. If you come from Photoshop (as I did), you'll notice how limited some tools are compared with it or the lack of support for stuff that is not vectors. But don't get me wrong, it is excellent for what it is designed for; I would love to see more about it!

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

It has helped me build animations using JSON files with Adobe After Effects. I first create my vector with Illustrator, move it to After Effects and transform it to a JSON file with Lottie so I can render it with Lottie Animation component

at first glance you will be confused but i promise you with practicing you will definitely fall in love with illustrator it's such a fun free place to play around and go wild with your creativity until you come up with the masterpiece you adore !

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

only the crashes that suddenly happens while i'm in the middle of my work , i wish there is every 10-30 minutes auto saving feature to prevent losing the artworks

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

it solves two major problems, first one is vectorazing the logos and illustrations so no matter how big or small they are we'll have the same amazing quality, second problem is the free space around the artboards allowing me to experiment as much as i want without getting overwhelmed with hundreds of open tabs and that is something not a lot of programs offer this

"Professional tool for graphic creation"
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

Comprehensive functions for graphic creation. The tool is designed to create vector graphic, and I like that I can create an artwork in a larger physical size that's with a smaller file size, which make the file easier to be processed.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

As it's a tool for vector file, it's not for photo editing, so when I need to edit an image graphic, I will need to go through another software, not directly on AI.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

I can create any vector artwork with Adobe Illustrator at work and for my personal. The cost is not cheap, but considering how much we can do with this software, it's worth it.
