Unlike some other Adobe programs that seem to make things more difficult for the user, InDesign is set up to make sense. Tools are easy to access, design spaces are clear and pages can be organized in a efficient manner.

I think it could be helpful if InDesign incorporated some more elements from Adobe Illustrator. For example, you should be able to create more vector shapes in InDesign rather than just the basics. I find myself having to go to Illustrator to make something as simple as an arrow shape, because it isn't simple to do in InDesign. I think you definitely need to work Illustrator and InDesign together to use it to its full capacity.

I use adobe InDesign almost daily to work on projects for my job as a graphic designer. One benefit of using InDesign is the great way it creates layouts for pages. I can work on a 43 page magazine with complete ease. The master pages make things simple to control, and moving from page to page is easier than other programs I have tried for this purpose.

InDesign has a lot of useful tools for print layout design. Basic drawing tools are nice to have, and integrates well with the rest of the adobe suite.

There are few tools that InDesign mirrors Photoshop or Illustrator but does so just slightly differently, i.e. different shortcuts or menu placement. This can slow workflow.

InDesign is my go to publishing/creative platform. It handles larger bodies of text, and multiple page media better than other design software. It is simple and quick, and any more powerful tools I need for smaller pieces of a design can be done in Illustrator or Photoshop and brought in seamlessly.

Work with InDesign is nearly universally accepted and can be easily saved as many different document types.

The software is expensive, so may only be worth paying for if you're getting paid specifically to use it frequently or have a large enough company to afford it.

InDesign helps the organization keep many marketing needs in-house rather than paying someone else to design campaigns and promotions.

I find it really easy to format documents with this program. It allows you to create templates and master pages to simplify the repetition of backgrounds and stuff like that.

I don't find it the friendliest program to work with images and vectors.

I am creating all the official documentation for my company, from contract to booklets, sponsor packages, reports, etc.

The best feature I like in the Adobe CC series is the library that I can customize and access it on my other computers. In Adobe Indesign, the best feature would be the style and format settings for all the specific elements. I can simply change a group of items at once.

One thing I don't like is the table that must be contained in a text frame. It would be much better if the table is an independent element.

It is easy to apply the change when there's a print project to work on regularly. The template feature saved me a lot of time when I need to make a multiple-page project!

This is the best program I have used for design! I can create all kinds of things on this program.

Absolutely nothing! Adobe is my favorite!

I can create flyers and posters for my business, as well as blog graphics.

There is truly no other software like InDesign. That is probably what I like best. It is truly the one stop shop for all my layout needs. I learn something new every time I use it. It is quite "smart" in that sense; it almost adapts to suit your needs. And I can't think of only 1-2 features with respect to layouts that it cannot help me with

I wish a few photo/image features were more integrated. I do understand that I can use Photoshop for these features. But it would be nice if I could turn an image black and white or increase its brightness directly in the program - just the basic capabilities! Some of the in-built shortcuts are also very complicated (paste in place for example)

I use InDesign for everything! My resume, cover letter, architecture portfolio etc on the more personal side. And I use it for every presentation I prepare at work. It is the only way to layout!

I love that I can add all sorts of things to the flyer I am creating.

Sometimes it's hard to move things around when they are hidden behind other things I have added to the flyer.

I am able to making my marketing flyers on indesign.

I like best that with InDesign you can easily create layout for your documents, books and so on. I started using it when I was at university and I continued using it now that I'm working.

Some tools are not so easy to understand how to use them. Maybe it will be easier if some tools works like same tools in other Adobe programs

With Adobe InDesign I solved all my problem about which program to use when I have to create easily a layout for work. It is also very well known in my work place so it's easier to work with collegues.

InDesign sets the standard for all other design software. It has all the features you need to design excellent print (and web) materials.

If unfamiliar with Adobe's interface, there's a fairly steep learning curve. With some grit and intentional YouTube research, anyone could learn to use InDesign, though it's not necessarily an intuitive interface.

I've used InDesign to create everything from social media posts to branded, tri-fold brochures.

It is simple enough but also has all of the features one would require.

It can be a little bit difficult to navigate when you first get started. There is definitely a learning curve.

I use this for promotional materials like promo cards and flyers.

The thing I like best about Adobe InDesign is it's capacity for multi-page documents. Whether its a book, magazine spread, flyer, pdf, brochure, or large format design, InDesign can handle it all. This program makes it so easy to create these multi-page documents use it's Master Pages functionality. It's the most design-friendly program for visual organization.

The thing I dislike about InDesign is it's lack of ease when it comes to direct-design tools. Tools like the pen tool are not as friendly to use as they are in Illustrator, which can sometimes be a little frustrating. I also really dislike that I have to select the "Auto Size" button when scaling images within InDesign. The bounding box around images makes me crazy sometimes!

The biggest business problem we are solving using Adobe InDesign is creating multi-page proposals or PDF's--the Master Pages functionality is a life-saver in this process. We've also realized the benefit of design large-format things, like trade show banners, within this program. It's so much easier to manage in InDesign!

I love how it works woth the other Adobe products seamlessly.

I cannot think of one thing that i dislike.

Ease of layout.

It’s the industry standard and similar to all adobe products.

I am able to creating all multi page designs with ease.

i love Indesign for new brochures. It makes creating and editing easy.

Lack of photo editing capacity can cause more time to be needed.

I like how InDesign can bring out better skills from its users by making it easy enough for them to learn how to use the tools and make something great.

I wish there would be a drawing tool like in Illustrator.

InDesign can be complicated for people to use, but it is easy enough for most users to figure out and work on together.

While InDesign does have a bit of a learning curve, once you familiarize yourself with the menus and layout of the tools on hand, it is so invaluable to design processes. And there's simply no beating the compatibility with the other Adobe products. In fact, if you have any experience at all with other Adobe products such as PhotoShop or LightRoom, the learning curve for InDesign lessens dramatically. This is my favorite tool to use for laying out and organizing designs.

As great as InDesign is, it is unfortunately not an industry standard here in Silicon Valley. For that reason alone, it can be kind of a pain to use, as many people don't actually have this software installed.

We use Adobe InDesign for a few steps in our design process, most notably simply laying out designs for a page. The main benefit is that it is incredibly easy to use and is a software that is typically easy to obtain since many companies already have overarching license agreements with Adobe.

I like how easy it is to make design using InDesign.

After the update sometimes my library doesnt sync.

It is such a complex program, it is difficult to get acquainted with in a busy work setting.

I create nearly all of my graphics with InDesign now. It saves me tons of time I would have spent designing page by page in Photoshop.
