Adobe XD has been integral in my work at a non-profit, in which resources and budgets are constantly being reviewed. Also, due to IT security structures, I am restricted to using a Windows device and thus, design software compatible for that OS. I have some personal Apple devices that I can use seamlessly for testing and responsive review while my main work completed on the desktop. The integration of the prototyping and team review modes is also assisting my team in creating a better workflow for sharing designs/prototypes remotely for design reviews and Dev handoff.
Adobe is constantly updating, so sometimes interactions have moved or changed to become more robust, which always throws me off a little. But the payoff of these enhancements outweighs my slight, and albeit temporary, inconvenience to learn the change.
I am building responsive enterprise style SAAS with a companion mobile app for accreditation software in the healthcare/medical industry. Adobe XD is helping me solve redesigning and prototyping enhancements to our products with very complex back-end structures, and visually dense front-end data/information for users. I'm utilizing Adobe's components quite heavily, which allow me to quickly build these complex screens in a fairly quick and modular approach. It also has allowed me to efficiently build style guides and UI libraries, so I can quickly get Dev new assets, as well as identify when there is an odd-ball element built by original designers that are either not consistent to the rest of the areas, or do not follow best UX/UI practices.
1. It is totally user friendly. Even for first timers, it will not take much time to figure out the working procedure. 2. Can be shared online even when using free account. 3. Can be exported in a lot of formats according to your need
1. Cannot not directly coded from there. 2. Crashes can be noticed and after reopening previous work is gone. So have to save after every change.
It saved a lot of my time in web designing. Moreover you can just export the design and add it in the webpage directly. Yes, the adding part can be little tricky sometimes.
Being able to present a preliminary image of the user interface helps us to discuss the direction and changes that our project will take. We can take into account all opinions and make rapid changes because it is much easier to make changes in the design stage than in the development stage. Adobe XD saves us valuable time in the development stage because we all already have a clear idea of what we have to do.
There are still features that are not yet available such as collaborative editing and document history.
Adobe XD helps us design interactive interfaces that simulate real user navigation and thus present a prototype of the website to customers and see what things to improve or correct before starting with the development of the project.
I like Adobe xd because, it is a good program for creating graphical interfaces, it allows us to create interfaces for multiple devices at the same time, so that we can see how our layouts adapt to various sizes. It is a light and very powerful software, I love being able to download the graphic packages that this software gives us, they are a good starting point to model our layouts.
don't like the fact that most of the extra tools are paid, but still it remains a good product!
Since I have it I no longer have problems designing and creating graphical interfaces, and in just a few clicks I can adapt them to each format and customize them for every device!
You can create as realistic prototypes as possible with Adobe XD. The system runs well both on desktop and mobile. Sync is very smooth. When you go beyond prototyping and the developers need to start coding, Adobe XD allows accessing all specs and downloading all assets easily. This is a must have tool for mobile app devs.
Sometimes we have experienced issues with syncing. Sometimes, especially as your files become larger, the app fails to open them. We noticed that this used to happen on the Desktop version more frequently than on the mobile version. Though, recently this problem has been almost gone.
We have accelerated mobile app development and achieved nearly pixel perfect state.
I like how we can create user flows for any web site or mobile application.
The process of making the screens and adjusting the fonts isn't very smooth. I faced issues using that, and i felt it wasn't as fluid as it's competitor figma.
I've been able to present prototypes to my clients quickly and been able to get the feedback early on.
This tool certainly helps in the productivity of website development in regards to design work with clients. I can share my work with clients virtually without having to travel onsite.
This tool should have a better set stand of tools to work with like other Adobe products.
Increased productivity and better client response to design changes.
The level of personalization given to my drawings.
It is not so easy to manage the final propotype, if the drawing is complicated and composed by a lot of colours.
I manage the assets panel better than other applications.
It is the easiest and fastest way to create professional web prototypes.
Being a new platform, sometimes it generates small failures, but often they are insignificant or are fixed quickly and easily, or there is an alternative that avoids it.
At the University of Girona they always ask for a report before doing any work. Thanks to this platform, I have been able to reduce the delivery time of the report to about half of what it usually took.
Easy to use and very user oriented. Good impression and as usual a good tool at first said. Need to go deeper to test it but as I said the first contact was good. Adobe standarts.
Pricy licences. But the rest is very good, I need to say that I just use this last version couple of times but impressions are good.
Easy prototype for web page design. Easy to show and rework with users and mobile friendly. Mac and windows compatibility as usual.
I like full control of the assets. It's very helpful to be able to use the same assets across multiple artboards and update them everyone as I continue designing.
There are a few missing features in the system (side-scrolling artboards, hover effects, etc.) however the feature request online lets others contribute to help make the system better.
Being able to fully design a system to send to the developer with ease. I can also create videos easily to show the developer how something should work whilst not wasting time creating animations.
its widely known an easy to work with. quick software with many characteristics
nothing. Honestly its a very functional tool and it might need a revision on graphics in terms of icons.
top software to work with docs
Adobe gives it one of important software as freemimun to use which is Adobe XD, it gives the facility to make lot of amazing and creative user interfaces whether its for creating for web or creating and utilize in other sources. It have a clean and clear canvas , where we can put component and make fabulous and beautiful design. Because its adobe product and lot of people already aware about the user interface of the Adobe software then it become very easy for them to get easily familiar with that.
There is already lot of good things in Adobe XD , it gives the freedom to explore a whole new way to think about your product design process and gives the free hand to make it real. Adobe XD now the one the important tool for every graphics or UX designer they all using this as a one of their primary tool. because it allow to maintain a standard format for creating and storing for future improvement in the design process.
First problem I resolve with this Adobe XD that making of wire-frames and few design related things now become easy. It runs of different OS so that I can easily migrate a file or doc from one PC to another kind of PC very easily without any kind of error in that
XD is straight-forward and easy to learn, especially for anyone who has used Adobe products in the past.
The interactivity for prototypes is limited. I like to be able to create complex interactions allowing test participants to do things like type in text fields, which is not possible in XD.
I am able to put together simple, realistic click-through prototypes very quickly in XD.
the features that are with any other paid software.Specially I am using the plugins that was suppored in the XD.
I still think a few things are missing in that. What if someone wants to create photographs? in cannot be created in xd. Not just a photogrpahs all the gifs files too,
I am creating a website and that was created in xd first to pitch the idea. Also. That was my inspiration before creating a website.
Adobe XD is an Adobe tool for designing applications and websites. The main advantage of Adobe XD is the fact that the package has a free plan, another of the significant advantages of this solution is the fact that Adobe XD has a clear interface that facilitates work on the prototype/project. Using the program is very simple and enjoyable there is a possibility to share your work with your team, on your computer using links or mobile application available for free on Android, as well as IOS. It is worth mentioning that Adobe XD is compatible with formats of other Adobe tools thanks to which we can transfer our graphic design to Adobe XD in no time at all.
While using Adobe XD I didn't notice any significant drawback except the fact that the beginnings of the program are quite difficult due to a large number of functions.
Thanks to using Adobe XD I can make a prototype of the design, which I can then present to the client, so I can make improvements at the design level.
This new tool from Adobe could be the game changer. Not only can you design but you can prototype as well in this tool. I highly recommend.
Its still becoming better day by day The prototyping it's not the greatest yet.
Designing production ready files for the entire Org.
The features are endless and endlessly great.
It's quite an expensive software, only makes sense to get it when you use it a lot.
I do all my website designs, advertisement, small design Jobs and project proposals with this software. i love how straightforward the navigation is.
XD is the fastest design tool and its deliberately designed that way by omitting unwanted features.
Very slow development cycle. Essential features take a long time to get implemented. Windows users need to be taken seriously (live preview still missing)
Provides a very quick way to transform ideas into clickable prototypes. The design process thereafter is also quick.
Adobe XD is really handy and easy to use, unlike its other products. Coming from Illustrator or Photoshop I swiftly was able to navigate through XD as its user interface felt intuitive and fluid. Little things like copying and pasting results in the copied element appearing on the same spot and grids and measurements help create pixel perfect mockups, yet with enough flexibility and speed for low fidelity mockups.
Lack of design specs export locally (Internet and CC is required to do that) advanced prototyping animations are missing (only artboards animate, not individual layers). Compatibility with other software like Sketch is lacking and using the layer panel needs a bit of a different approach from other Adobe products.
Designing interfaces and visual experiences for various devices has never been so fast. While web development has been a thing for Photoshop historically, XD speeds up this process immensely. Sharing and export tools allow to share your designs easily with others, even if they are not familiar with XD
