Considered one of the pioneering cloud-based project management tools, Asana offers four views for its users – List View, Timeline, Calendar, and Boards – all of which help teams get both a macro and micro view of all the moving parts of projects and tasks. It provides a comprehensive roadmap of ongoing projects from start to finish, clearly outlining dependencies, project milestones, and feedback and approval processes. For project managers, strong reporting capabilities that show completion rates, individual workloads, and potential delays just to name a few create opportunities for real-time project optimization, collaboration, stronger forecasting, and better planning for future similar projects.

Love the timeline view and checklist format
I wish project formatting was a bit more flexible and images attachments were easier to upload/ download/ share especially when associating with a specific list item
Project management, very helpful to keep multiple projects in sync and easy to share info about a project with team memebers that are remote
Project Team live instant communication, every get their notification, time tracking as a critical indicators makes the collaboration attractive to users, challenging to meet business fast paced implementation, we get the chance to be more aware of the project insights by getting the most from the mobile app that runs smoot in iOS or Android.
I do really want an stronger security adjustment in the notification through emails it could easily be upgraded to automate team due dates and sharing reports of the uncover tasks and goals. But that's from my standpoint they're aiming to the right side of PM.
It Helped us to build trust on our internal processes, built confidence in our sponsors and led up to implement our Knowledge base from the scratch, since all our hints we're posted inside Asana, that gave us the missing parts or not foreseeing challenges using the task references and sharing every single detail of our daily routines it was very satisfying to reach goals and overcome troubles.
Asana is so easy to use. You can easily sort, prioritize and check off tasks. I love that it has different ways to input the information. Like lists and checking off your to-dos? More of a sticky notes person? Or do you prefer to see everything at a glance on your calendar? Asana has you covered!
Nothing, really. Very intuitive to use and very effective.
Great for organizing your day and communicate with a team.
Asana is my go-to application for Project Management. I have many clients and I am able to functionally organize them and schedule our tasks. I am able to bring each organization into my Asana separately so that my clients can use the application as well. Asana is easy enough to use. Many of my clients are not tech savvy yet, feel comfortable using the app. There is also a great integration with Gmail as well as a Chrome extension.
Not much. The integration with Gmail takes some getting used to. It can be clunky and if you forget a step, it will not save to the application.
Project and Task organization. Nothing slips through the cracks as long as each item is scheduled and assigned correctly. Communications with clients remain in each task so things don't get lost in email strings.
We manage our projects, from the beginning of a brainstorm until it is completed, Asana lets us plan everything very effectively, with great communication and extrategias, each tool is better than the previous one, has very good features to save a lot of money. weather.
The learning curve requires a good understanding and work some time to make the most of it. I would also like you to have a grantt diagram to improve the experience.
It helps to increase our team performance, we see all the tasks that require our attention in real time, we receive notifications and above all, I love how it synchronizes with other softwares. Asana has given solutions to many problems we had.
I like Asana becasue it makes it very easy to connect with coworkers and manage different tasks with upmost efficiency.
So far, nothing is to my dislike based on what I am currently using it for. If and any case I find something that does not allow me to complete what I need to do, I will most definitely inform whomever I need to.
Tasks regarding amenities and of financial nature.
Asana is an awesome planning, collaboration, and task management tool. I use it personally and professionally for both big and small projects. I love that I can quickly create a list, organize it, and add team members quickly and easily. It is easy to restructure tasks because we all know plans change. The ability to comment, call out people, and add files makes this a super robust tool for teams. The fact that it is super powerful on the free plan is a big benefit to the small business community.
More variety in the celebration emojis. :) Seriously, love those and would like to select my own theme.
As a small business owner and technology coach to small businesses, I use Asana to manage my own projects and teach small business owners how to use it to manage their projects and contract team members. Planning and following through are essentially to a growing business and believe Asana has made that possible.
Asana keeps each of my projects so organized. With so many moving parts to each one, it is often easy to forget or overlook upcoming due dates, details, etc. Asana helps me remember to check in with clients, be prepared for upcoming due dates, and keep track of all the details along the way.
The only thing I would add to Asana is the ability to add photos to projects. I am an interior designer and it would be helpful to include photos embedded in the software rather than as an attachment.
Asana helps keep my projects on task and keeps me ahead of my client's needs.
I really appreciate the Interface of Asana. It´s very friendly.
Honestly, I don´t dislike anything of it.
Asana help us to prioritize our time so we can do more tasks in less time.
Asana helps me to highlight activities so that my team finishes them faster and, if I forget the task, Asana notifies me by email or by its mobile application, it is ideal for large groups of people, since it allows you to be more organized and attentive to the activities to be carried out.
Its interface does not like me much because it lacks colors and can not be customized to my liking, however its functionality is excellent.
It is excellent because with Asana we avoid having extra personnel for the organization and the management of the projects.
I like the visibility Asana give me into tasking and activities across team members. I get a lot of value out of the month at a glance view, which enables us to see parallel work-stream activities and make not of any dependencies.
There is nothing I really dislike about the product. The user interface is fresh and clean, though it can sometimes seem a little too simplistic.
Our virtual, global team was having trouble managing tasks and coordinating activities. Asana helped us keep track of tasks across teams and gave leadership insight into the activities taking place. It helped us better plan for future activities, after we gained a better understanding of how long some tasks took.
I like how easy it is to keep track of projects and tasks using Asana. This is possible because of the simple, intuitive and well thought out interface. Another thing I is the great integration with other tools I use, such and Instagantt, Bitbucket and Slack. I also like the mobile apps, especially the iOS app. They're well built and make tracking my tasks easy.
The only downside is the lack of an inbuilt messaging feature, though that can easily be taken care of by integrating Slack.
We use Asana to more effectively manage projects and tasks. With Asana, we are able to see all ongoing projects and tasks and get them done in a timely and orderly manner. Asana also helps make collaboration more effective, especially as it's integrated with Slack.
I like using Asana all the time for many reasons. It has a great and convenient calendar to put all your required tasks and monitor them. The user interface and design is very decent and colorful which makes it easy to navigate and see all your tasks. Creating tasks is also so easy and there are many templates available to make life more easier for anyone and help the users to manage their goals. Another great feature in using Asana is assigning tasks to team members and track their work which is very useful
The mobile app is missing many features that I hope they will add them soon to be as convenient as the web version
Asana makes working with tasks easier. It saves a lot of time and effort. I definitely recommend it for everyone.
The best parts of ASANA are the group interaction that we can stimulate with this tool. We have used ASANA for quite a long time to coordinate teams that are spread out all over the US and Asia. This tools allows us to coordinate activities and make sure the tasks assigned are completed in a timely manner.
Actually, the updates are a little too frequent for me. What some may see as a positive, I dislike as it disrupts flow. While this may be inherent to new tools being developed, as a former software company owner, "feature creep" can be a hinderance at times.
We manage hundreds of projects across three (3) main business units. ASANA helps us keep our standard "process" for each project front and center. As a management tool, it allow me to manage groups on individual projects and focus on those that need my attention.
I love being able to choose between the card system and the list system when creating a project.
I did not like the fact that there was not a notification option for of a due date changed on a task.
Keeping projects organized and allowing everyone to be on the same page. The benefits of giving everyone a clear understanding of the current status of a project is priceless.
I like Asana because I can follow my projects interactively, it has very good features to work in collaboration with my team, it allows me to plan tasks with ease, I can also have my calendar with all the activities organized, I can upload files and assign tasks to my colleagues. Working with Asana, I keep my team informed of everything important.
For starters, Asana offers you a free version, however, it lacks many features that you can only use if you switch to the Premium version. The cost of this software will also depend on how big your equipment is, however, it is very beneficial to obtain asanas because with this software you can be more productive and take your company to another level.
We have been able to solve many problems with Asana and one of the most important is the communication as we can keep the different departments of the company up to date with the latest activities and tasks to be done, in addition to helping us to maintain order.
Organized, easy to manage, includes API so automation is possible, supports all of my team in a free capacity not having to pay by user. I also like that there is color coding capability but wish there were more progress bar options.
Wish it had task chunks so you can template out timelines. I also wish that it had better budget tracking and version tracking like if it were to integrate with a document management system or something. Something else I don't like is that there's a lot more depth to programs like Jira and with this there requires a fair bit of plugin use and external python automation to have it do what I want it to structurally. All-in-all a great product, just a few nitty gritty preferences.
Project management x9000, too many moving parts before and now everything is slowly but surely becoming cohesive. We also had a lot of communication issues with other teams and now have eliminated a lot of those with contingency plans based on the different projects we have set up, as well as different methods to disseminate tasks to each team vs before where there was just a maelstrom of emails and questions and concerns from every which way.
As a roughly 6-person company with team members spread across the globe, we live and breathe Asana. Ever aspect of our executive coaching business runs on Asana, from low-level day-to-day tasks to high-level aspirational growth goals from the company. Asana makes it incredibly easy to establish repeating workflows and build systems for nearly every aspect of your business.
As powerful as Asana's collaboration features are, they can infringe a little bit on privacy if you're not careful. You need to be very careful when creating and tracking a task you don't want others to see or have access to.
Every aspect of our organization runs through Asana. We solve daily task management through Asana, 1:1 meeting agendas, high-level growth goals for the organization, and both long and short-term project planning.
How easy it is to stay organized on a project, and how easy it is to assign "to-dos"
There is nothing about Asana that I would change! Its incredibly user friendly, and useful!
Asana is making project management very easy for us. We use Asana to stay on top of "tasks", and to make sure we stay organized with certain projects. Asana makes it very clear when deadlines are, and allows for communication between team members for status updates and comments
The interface truly is one of the best parts of the app. The nudges and UX is just fun and memorable. The app offers a wide variety of features and doesn't cost as much as some other tools. The Timeline feature is great for planning larger projects, and the possibility of a proofing and approval functionality is exciting.
If there's one thing I really don't like about the tool, it's the fact there's no way to switch a project back and forth between board view (Kanban) and list view.
We use this tool to plan, run, and analyze our projects. This includes websites, videos, branding projects and more. It's helped reduce the spinup time for projects by allowing us to create and use project templates.
