It makes it easy to set up Tweets and other social networks in advance.
It isn't the best in dealing with issues when Hootsuite is much better.
Scheduling tweets and other social media posts.
That I can schedule posts for multiple social media channels in one platform
There are often errors, and posts don't publish when they are supposed to, not super intuitive, hard to add new campaign topics, drafts vs queue
can save time by being able to schedule posts in one platform... as long as all goes correctly
Scheduling and retweeting. Mobile and desktop access.
The article recommendation feature went away
I watch social 24/7, but it's nice to know I don't have to.
The ease in scheduling different things. It allows me to schedule everything I need to in an organized manner.
It messes up a lot. Like more than it should.
It really helps get all of my clients scheduled out in an organized fashion
I like how quick and easy it is to post to your social media accounts (except Instagram) according to a pred-defined schedule. Buffer was one of the first to do this, but I imagine it's table stakes now.
I dislike that the Instagram integration doesn't work even though it's being advertised. When I reach out to customer success, they send a long list of complicated instructions to fix it. I went through them, which fixed it before a day, and then the integration broke again.
It makes managing multiple social media accounts more manageable.
Buffer is a very user-friendly social scheduling platform. It allows you to easily switch between channels and provides basic analytics for posts you schedule through the app. I like that it shows you your most popular and least popular posts.
I don't love the scheduling interface--but that's probably a personal preference.
We've used Buffer to schedule social media posts so we don't have to post in real time, and we've been able to see what our higher performing content looks like.
The ability to post from multiple accounts from one place
Buffer posts seem to be penalised by websites such as Facebook

This is a great app for scheduling posts in advance for multiple accounts. It is an affordable option for up to 10 accounts.
The Instagram connections are currently glitching for me and not pushing notifications to my phone, therefore I am missing posts. There is no way to tag individuals or companies on LinkedIn and Facebook posts, nor Instagram photos (can tag in the write up only on IG) which is a big loss for boosting engagement.
I'm solving for having a personal calendar filled with notifications!
I liked that it had the option to post at an optimum time for you.
I really enjoyed this product, but when hootsuite came along it had the same benefits plus more.
It helped me schedule my social media and maximize my post's effectiveness.
Buffer, when working well, is a great tool for Twitter but it does take time to get set up and use properly.
I didn't find it worth the money, and quit after a few months. They tried hard to get me to stay, but I just couldn't justify it.
Freeing up time by automating social media and being able to plan my editorial calendar in advance.
I like how easy it is to plug in the online account information
i dislike how easy it is to accidentally share things and the free analytics are garbage
an alternative to hootsuite that is free
I enjoy the ability to schedule posts in advance. I like that it posts and sends reminders reliably. It would be great for an individual with multiple social accounts
An upgraded account is expensive and is more limited than it's competitors. It doesn't offer the same degree of analytics as other social media tools. It's also limited to only 10 accounts. The bulk uploader is a great tool on other social media tools, but isn't available on this one. You can only upload one photo to an instagram post, but instagram allows multiple photo uploads.
I used it to schedule multiple posts for multiple clients across social platforms. It showed me that we needed a more powerful tool. We switched to a different social media tool.
The ease of use is hard to beat. Also, I like the way Buffer syncs up to our social accounts. Having the edit and reorder functions are some more advantages.
It's buggy on Safari, and the free version is fairly restrictive, as far as number of posts go. The stat package isn't a strong suit, even with the paid version.
It 's helping us schedule our posts easily and quickly, saving us time and improving efficiency.
It's nice to be able to schedule ahead of time on multiple platforms in one place.
The scheduling tends to be unreliable; many times a post will miss its schedule and the user doesn't find out until later.
Using buffer saves time scheduling on social media and allows staff to be offline as needed while still maintaining an active online presence.
Modern interface and easy to subscribe to
Hard to understand how to use, limited offerings for the free and first-tier subscription
Social media scheduling and metrics collection
At most I like the concept of the app itself.
Buffer comes off as a super easy, user friendly social media manager, but when I used it, the interface was very confusing for me so I gave up.
Buffer seems to be able to help people manage their social media platforms and postings.
Creating the schedule is easy and can be accomplished in minutes.
3 out of 4 times my posts failed in 24hrs.
Public awareness of our organization. Increase in sharing via SM. Easy to schedule.
I dont like anything about BUFFER at all.
The charges where the system failed to post for the last 2years.
They are not solving anything nor ots benefiting us. We are loosing money for no services provided.
The interface is good. Compared to other tools I'va used in the past it takes no time to learn how to use it.
- Very expensive for what they offer. To be able to manage your social channels you need to buy : Publishing + Analytics + Engagement and they sell each of these sepratelly which makes it expensive, specially if you are running a small business like me. - Also I don't trust the data much. My instagram data is very different in buffer compared to Instagram insight. - The data doesn't update automatically and sometimes it takes so long till you can actually see them in Buffer. Unfortunatelly there is no way to reload it if you need realtime report.
Social media management.
Nothing. Never got buffer to work for me. spent countless hours trying to get it to work. Immense aggravation. DO NOT BUY!
Horrible customer support, confusing instructions. Glitchee. Never sure if it was going to post to social media sites. Good concept. Terrible execution. Do no buy unless you want high blood pressure
My personal aggravation
