I like the reports and the ease of entering candidates.
It was always very slow logging in and making changes. It would crash a lot too.
Tracking applicants, it was good way to track them through the hiring process.
The fact that everything is so easily accesible under one scree
That it times out, not everything can be parsed and it doesnt automatially update the candidate
Nothing that I have noticed to date
It was good for being able to sort everything into one data base and was a very vital tool for the company
I didn’t like how it wasn’t language friendly (couldn’t detect Japanese). Also, It did have a lag to it and would kick me out at times which made it annoying when I would have multiple tabs open for candidates
Bullhorn was a good database keeper for information regarding the clients we worked with
Tasks, the dashboard on enterprise, goals and quotas reporting
Not talking to my calendar, not an easy call list
A little more organization and One place for notes
Bullhorn is fairly easy and a good resource to manage status activity with candidates.
My company requires too many steps, details to be provided into the system. This makes the process long and annoying.
IT Candidate Tracking
Bullhorn is a very user friendly ATS we use on a daily basis for staffing our projects. It does the trick for what we need to get done.
This software has a couple of flaws that I have seen over the past 5 years using it. It has a hard time handling PDF documents. It also has a hard time picking up if a candidate is duplicated sometimes creating more than one file for the same candidate.
This is a basic tracking and searching system. It takes good notes and you can track the candidate process from first call to placement.
It keeps everything in one place - the notes feature is the most helpful.
The site has gotten a lot better in recent history but it still has random quirks that really mess with daily processes, randomly. Things like the task or note abilities freezing, etc. It also takes a lot of work to get it to integrate with other products.
We keep track of candidate's interview history and job activity. It's helpful because it keeps everything in one place.
generates nice reports and its very powerful if you learn how to use it.
they are selling it but can't barely support it.
better reporting, but tough to figure out
I really appreciate the flexibility in the number of fields offered within the system.
Searching content is a bit clunky. You can't search cross-fields for information - ie. a keyword search covering all fields within a category. You have to know exactly which field the keyword would be included in, and search there. Some of the fields provided aren't very intuitive either. So one person may save information in one category, like "comments" and someone else in another field like "quick comments." Same goes for job orders... so if you remember seeing a particular skill or key phrase but can't remember which position it was in... good luck remembering the field it was in so you can search and find it.
The system does make it fairly easy to match candidates to positions, and track their progress throughout the process.
Accumulation of contacts, tracking of leads/emails/potential sales/closed sales
Inability or difficulty in tracking firm wide activity or seeing the activity of,others
Change of habits on business development, group participation
The email integration in bullhorn, do not need to use outlook separately
Too slow, cannot link to job boards, email issues. Worst part is that we cant use it with Chrome or Firefox
Use it to keep a track of applicants, when and why hey have been contacted
The ability to send mass emails and to paste resumes into the database and have them automatically update.
The constant up and down of the system. I have to log out and log back in multiple times a day. The resume search is not the best either.
Use the system to track open jobs and attach matchable candidates to them for tracking purposes. The ability to maintain knowledge on what jobs are hot and what candidates are placeable to them.
Bullhorn provided an all in one solution that provided effective tools for both Recruiters and Sales people. It also had integrated email which was a must for my company as we were geographically dispersed. Everyone was on the same page assuming BH was being utilized the way it was designed.
We had Macs and Windows machines. During the sales process, they swore that they work with Macs. Well, it wasn't exactly true as the Mac users had to use virtualization technology like VMWare Fusion or Parallels. This made for a very frustrating experience for the Mac users. The Windows users had to use the worst browser known to man - Internet Explorer.
I owned a Recruiting Agency and our staff was dispersed around the country. We were attempting to work as a cohesive team, despite the distance, and needed an all in one solution.
It helps keep all our candidates and leads in one place. It is easy to find someone pretty quickly from the search bar and I appreciate getting email notifications synced with Outlook.
The UX/UI are not very user friendly and often lose track of where I need to find something. The overall user interface could use a new face and make it more appealing to want to use.
Candidate tracking and leads. There is also place to store proposls and manage the workflow of what we are all working on. We can also store all of our contracts in one place and that has been a huge help.
It's a very user-friendly system. Clean and easy to use.
The report tools are expensive and the standard one that comes with the product is very poor. Their API to extract the data is also complex and the process to get access is not straightforward
It keeps our recruitment business much more organized.
I mostly like the shortlist function, allows me to have all my applicants in a nice organized list.
The ATS does not merge duplicate records or provide a manual way to do so. So many unneeded employee records.
Bullhorn allows applicants and job orders to be visible to all recruiters regardless of account, therefore it makes helping with each others recruiting needs simple.
How easy it is to track and save potential candidates information!
There are some times tech issues that disturbed use but not often.
Tracking and saving candidate information.
The tearsheets are helpful to track groups of candidates by skills, occupation, etc.
It's very clunky to search for different skills, key words, etc. It's also very slow.
We track our candidates company-wide in Bullhorn, to keep tabs on who has been submitted to clients, skills, etc.
I love the data that the reports can provide. I also really like that there is scheduling ability, so reports can easily be pushed out daily/weekly, etc. I enjoy using Cognos as well on the reports because a lot of the work is cut down.
There is minimal to no support available. This is a new tool to BH as well, so if you need help, its very difficult to get! Training was too short and not specific enough. I felt we were trained on some items that we didn't need.
The main business problems I solved was essentially processing the data to the end user in order to make reports more useful.
Had a clean UI - it looked nice and was easy to understand the pilot
Functionality didn't fit our processes. Seemed too rigid to be able to adapt to our business needs
