Chatter is easy to navigate through. The coloring is helpful and keeps us engaged.
There is nothing I really dislike about chatter. It really helps the network
Our employees are able to communicate better
We used Salesforce Chatter extensively to announce key sales wins and motivate our workforce, communicate approval notes to the approver, quote discussion within a controlled group. Chatter is made mandatory to enable search feature hence it a no brainer to use.
Chatter tried to be Facebook. It should limit the number of features and be a pure business messaging app.
Productivity, workforce motivation, enhance inter company communication without the need for sending an email. reduce outlook inbox clutter. Excellent feature by Salesforce.
What I like the most about this Chatter software are the tools, I as a company administrator, we use chatter as a social network, we can post on a wall, and my employees can respond to these publications, I can follow my employees and follow groups of interest or registration, attract the attention of my employees using mentions.
When it is required to search for a group or follow a person, the search system does not seem to have the best algorithm.
As an administrator of a company my duty is to notify management announcements and other spaces, they are shared with all people through the Chatter software, so employees are up to date with this.
Being able to tag individuals on specific opportunities or accounts to point out a problem, ask a question, or clarify something.
Some communication can get lost in translation between other platforms.
Quickly fixing issues with our SF administrator who is mostly remote.
Connect employees to work easily across organizational boundaries. It is used as company intranet or employee directory.Chatter allows users to manage their feeds and control how notifications are received. Salesforce offers Chatter in desktop and mobile versions.
You need to be Salesforce user for full access. Salesforce licenses cost more $700/user per year for the proffesional version. Best for mostly large organizations,Smaller firms with fewer locations have less need for this sort of collaboration.
Cut down Email exchange by communicating with employees through tools provided by chatter such as the news feed, group forums, file sharing, and online chat.Used chatter to share project updates privately,to group members,or to all followers and then track comments on message thread.Chatter connects us to people throughout the organization,we can get answers to questions quickly from people in any department or location. We use group forum to brainstorm ideas, share files and links ,post project updates ,recognize performance etc.It gives everyone a voice ,which means everyone participates and brings ideas to the table.Maintain a healthy employee culture by keeping remote employees in the loop.
Navigating is made very simple and easy.
Nothing at all, I like everything about Salesforce.
No problem solving, but it sure makes my job and work life a whole lot easier.
It acts like your companies wall, all the updates, news, Events, Milestones can be easy posted on chatter, people feel connected in a company, you also can create groups fr teams you are working, you can upload files and photos too. You can comment and share your views on the feeds and posts too. There are options for Link sharing, feeds and also messaging option which becomes helpful. Discussions can also take place through this platform, as the commenting and like feature is provided.
Sometimes people don't make right use of the Chatter, simply by posting unwanted stuffs, there is an mute option available for that too. More features could be added, but still whatever is already present full fills most of the needs. More Upgrades can be made in future.
For communicating with the teams, it becomes easy for sharing knowledge with the people using Chatter, Also the when a milestone is achieved by company or individual, can be posted on Chatter easily. So all the employees get the Information about the same. As a team lead/Manager, you can easily share posts and Files with respective individuals.
I LOVE that Chatter provides a quick and efficient way to resolve client issues and keeps a record of it. I love that we can tag people or teams and add attachments.
While it does auto-populate full names based on the first few letters, I wish it auto-filled suggestions for other people that I typically Chatter in conjunction with the first person I type. I frequently Chatter the same group of people, and I wish that it would auto-suggest/auto-populate that group when I started typing the first one of them. I have to manually enter all of them.
It serves the same function for us as sending a quick IM, but ensures we have a record and that it's attached to a client Opportunity to quick reference.
Chatter provides us with a live internal conversation for all to see without the noise that other mediums have i.e. e-mail. One of the main features that really works well is the 'Groups' that you can join. We have multiple groups set up to not only distribute procedural changes and communicate news etc, but also have conversations around upcoming tasks in the months ahead. Chatter works really well in instances where we need to look over historical conversations that have been had and the sentiment of those conversations with our shareholders, often using hashtags.
Possibly could go with a change of layout, a slight redesign to make it look and feel more user friendly. It's not terrible but for someone who hasn't used Twitter before, they may find it a bit hard to navigate. Possibly to have certain people prioritized within a company's Chatter feed. So if the CEO has posted something, this appears first as a priority post for all to see, and then can be sent further down your feed once read. Could possibly do with a feature to create an incentive for people to contribute more. There's still a lot of conversations that happens outside of Chatter that would be better suited for Chatter. There is an 'Influencer' feature but there is little known about this and has minimal meaning or purpose to most people.
it comes to verifying if proper communication has been had among teams. This helps us know when and what people have been informed of, which gives us the opportunity to regularly review our communication styles. This has had a very positive impact when trying to find particular individuals in a very large company, and without any barriers. This also provides a 'get networking' tool for new and existing individuals to the company, helping people gain influence and awareness among their stakeholders
This keeps employees accountable on what is going on with an account, lead, contact, or opportunity in our business.
Right now, there is nothing that I dislike about this feature.
Keeping the "stamp" of what is going on with an Account in the chatter feed is quite valuable.
this website is accurate and easy to use.
it takes a while to show updated numbers on calls/emails entered
its easy to pull up dealer contracts and statistics
Salesforce is the best CRM tool out there. Now, our team is using the chatter function to ALL communication is on the account or deliverable file. No more searching through my email inbox to find a conversation about a particular donor or account. It's all in one place!
Nothing. It's a great feature on Salesforce and the tagging, notifications, and record functionality is great.
One central place for all communications regarding an account so that no information is lost. In the long run it is extremely helpful so that turnover or email communications are never lost and information is always readily available for whoever needs it.
I love the ability to quickly communicate between teams so that it's visible for everyone, particularly the ability to tag distro lists so that you don't have to type everyone out.
I wish there was a way to add a follow up notification to follow up on chatters, as it's hard to keep track of which ones were responded to/resolved.
Easy communication between teams makes for a more efficient work day.
I like how simple to it is to post onto Chatter. I additionally like that your association can have a wide range of babble bunches that you can pursue. I can bookmark or quiet certain strings. You can likewise take a survey inside a string just as transfer a wide range of records. I discover Chatter a decent device for speaking with individuals both in my neighborhood office, just as individuals who are in different regions the nation over. Its very client friendly.I like how regardless of if my associates are in office or telecommuting we can even now all ricochet thoughts off each other utilizing this product.
I don't like that you can't control where connections posted by means of gab are put away. They are naturally presented on the record where the prattle exists and here and there, you don't need clients adding connections to a specific record.
Coordinated effort is unquestionably occurring with Chatter. We are experiencing some re-association and a portion of our colleagues are hoping to migrate. We've utilized Chatter to help facilitate the change by giving data about our neighborhood networks, schools, and lodging with those that will think about the move. Likewise, we have Chatter bunches that are for the sake of entertainment - like one for devotees of The Walking Dead. It's a fun easily overlooked detail to impart to associates over all divisions that I may not generally cooperate with. Group Collaboration, Dev to User Collaboration. With Chatter, I could work together with Users, Team Lead and Project Management on a pleasant and helpful way.
It allows me to quickly see updates/requests/comments from my colleagues.
I have no complaints at this time for Chatter, it does everything I want a quick communication tool to do.
Prevents having to scroll through emails for prior conversations.
Accountability, tagging, tracking tasks, events, and notes from my sales team. Utilizing Chatter keeps my team out of email and in Salesforce, 'forcing' them to respond and apply updates in the CRM. This keeps everyone up-too-date and has increased collaboration.
The email notification can be a bit overwhelming (depending on the adoption and use of your team) - simple email rule has routed these to a folder.
Accountability and getting data and updates from sales into the CRM. Chatter, once adopted, is powerful and effective as a way to empower your sales organization of any size.
I like the ability to communicate internally with other employees
The service seems to be show people offline when they are not
We are closing communication gaps across the organization
It’s very easy to communicate with team members in different offices instead of calling. Allows to leave our phones open for client calls and increases productivity.
I dislike the use of chatter on the mobile app and wish it had more features.
Easily getting questions answered instead of having to walk across the office. We can easily just follow up via the chatter feature.
The ease of being able to communicate with other employees that may live on the other side of the country as well as keep our upper management informed of our days and what we are doing. Salesforce Chatter is a big part of our days here at this company. It's super easy to use and you have the ability to post files that can be shared with the entire company or you can post in a private group. Either way, it's a great product!
It has some bugs and likes to sometimes double post or not post at all as well as having to refresh the screen multiple times and it doubling everything that was completed before. But even though there may be some bugs, they always get fixed and we can move onto working through our day.
Being able to exchange ideas with colleagues across the country. The higher up management have more access then myself as a Financial Service Rep. Benefits are maybe a colleague in British Columbia knows the answer to a question that no one in Newfoundland may know
Scrolling display of team activity - especially won deals!
Hard to mute yourself from conversations you get tagged on.
Communicating and staying organized on opportunities or closed deals - especially when handing the opportunity off to another department within the company.
Our team works virtually and has over 200 team members across the country. With Chatter we can quickly call attention to accounts, ask questions, and draw attention to data points and follow ups.
Sometimes it's difficult to see where exactly the questions are without images or pictures of components. This feature is not available in Salesforce Classic. We also have ~200 limited access users who are not able to see Chatter posts from full users.
We are a virtual team and Chatter allows us to connect quickly inside out database. It also allows our analytics team to ask questions and make updates in a timely manner.
Chatter allows users to tag each other to ask a question, or simply get an update on a record. You can do it directly in the record without having to go to your email or IM software to do it. the beauty of it is, all of that conversation is attached to the record and it automatically sends an email to the person tagged and also to the person when there is a reply. the groups allow people in the same role to get input and suggestions on how to handle an issue
Really nothing to dislike, I find it a great tool
The main problem it resolves is having to go to multiple sources to find out what has gone on with a record, it is all in the chatter feed. It also allows a group of people in a similar role to communicate and provide assistance to others. If you run into a problem with a client and aren't sure how to handle it, you can post it in a group and anyone in that group has had the same issue can tell you how to best handle it.
You can tag other users, tickets, accounts...pretty much anything you have integrated into SF.
I’m writing in this space because I have no dislikes.
We have open communication because of chatter. And we can link what we’re talking about to specific accounts and/or cases.
It’s a great way to motivate your teams and colleagues!
It’s pretty straight forward, I wouldn’t say there is anything I don’t like about it.
I use Chatter as more of a moral booster. Everyone likes a good shout out from their Manager.
I like that it acts like a bulletin board where everyone can post their questions, feedbacks, comments, and everything else so other people in the team or company can see and respond or like. It's also a place where new hires can introduce themselves and get to know everybody. I can find people in the company, message them, tag them in posts, and see posts that I was tagged in.
It's not really a dislike, but I think it can use a nicer, more sleek interface. Right now the interface works, but it looks quite dated and not too aesthetically pleasing. Also would be nice if there's a gif feature like with Slack.
I think it just helps with communication within the company in general. Anything that has to do with communication can get benefits from Salesforce Chatter, like employees asking each other questions, sharing feedbacks or new information, or just general greeting and socializing.
Chatter allows me to easily and quickly update my colleagues on important customer information without flooding their email inbox.
I wish that updates would have an expiry date and not show up after a set period of time.
We use Chatter to collaborate updates and important customer information to our team members.
Chatter allows our team to communicate with each other on many different projects. It effectively logs our communication and actions taken, and allows you to tag important members of your team to notify them of updates. Also, you can include notes just for yourself, so if I have many projects, I can easily read past notes that I've left for myself regarding the project or account on chatter.
We use chatter notes on different projects, such as those created by TaskRay or in a Salesforce account; it would be good to have a way to consolidate all notes across all projects in a single, easy to read place.
Often with many members on a team working with the same account, it could be easy to let details slip between the interactions our team members have with our clients. Chatter allows us to communicate more effectively with each other, work much better as a team, which in turn is a much better experience for all of our clients. Through chatter we can leave notes to each other so when another team member comes in to interact with the client, they can get more detailed notes from Chatter than those that may have been left from any tasks/calls logged in Salesforce. Also, you can log notes and information on an account without having to log a call or an actual action that took place.
The best feature is the collaboration feature. You can follow/join all your groups in easy to view GUI.
I think having to login to the website to view content at times can be a bit cumbersome. I'd like to be able to view it all from the desktop app.
Recently we rolled out a new program and SF Chatter was instrumental with connecting people when they had issues. The ability to ask questions and post comments has solved numerous issues from that first point of contact.
Instant connection to my team, sharing relevant project info
Not alot, I get everything I need and expect
Polling staff for opinions
Quickly tag colleagues on need-to-know work updates
Sends out quite a bit of emails that can be challenging to set preferences for new users
Share department updates with the whole company so people can stay on top of site updates and changes, along with internal news and data.
