What do you like best about Gist?

this software is all rounder software to control any type of online business. but i like getgist user interface and their super fast support.

What do you dislike about Gist?

this will be great if i can connect facebook page and can reply customer comments inside in getgist like ladesk. right now i can reply only facebook page messages.

What problems is Gist solving and how is that benefiting you?

I can support my customers easily on the go. using their mobile app. also their knowledgebase also helps me to reduce customer messages.

What do you like best about Gist?

Gist has came a long way. Love the automations. One of the best all in 1 marketing I have ever used.

What do you dislike about Gist?

There is a staggered email send limit. However, I believe if you are not using the platform for spam purposes and legit reasons, it is understandable that they need to keep their mail server clean for deliverability.

What problems is Gist solving and how is that benefiting you?

I do not have to integrate many systems with Spiders and Gist has solved half of my marketing automation process.

"Gist Makes My Business Better and Life Easier!"
What do you like best about Gist?

I love having a single platform which includes tools for things that usually require multiple subscriptions and multiple logins that I then have to integrate with each other. The customer support is phenomenal! I ask questions late at night and on weekends and always get a response during non-business hours!

What do you dislike about Gist?

If you hate only paying once instead of for 5 different tools, Gist is probably not for you. ;)

What problems is Gist solving and how is that benefiting you?

I love having a chat bot, live chat, a knowledge base, and even an email marketing platform all in one place because it means I can easily sync data between them all and even better, I do it all in one place with just a single subscription!

"Best Value All-rounder for Marketing Automation"
What do you like best about Gist?

One of the things that has impressed me most about Gist is that it strives to bring everything under one platform. Having the ability to run chatbots, launch drip feed campaigns, do an email blast, connect to your calendar, track users and more in one platform is not unique...but getting it all for free or low or low cost is. I have used some big-end products before and they are great, but they are also designed for the big-end of town and are largely not cost effective for your small-medium businesses. The value that Gist delivers is actually pretty phenomenal when you start working out how many systems it can potentially replace. Even their free plan incorporates full features, so it's a pretty easy choice to at least try it out. The additional kudos however goes to the fact that they continue to add value to their platform. The most recent additions have included web forms and pop-up tool which demonstrates they are a growing company that is willing to invest in its own platform as well as its customers.

What do you dislike about Gist?

Like most all-inclusive software packages, there's a bit of a steep learning curve in how it all fits together and getting the initial integrations set up. I've also found the terminology to be somewhat different to some of the other marketing platforms I've tried in the past, which at times is confusing. That said, they have a pretty comprehensive tutorial and education system to back up their platform and a growing network of users for collaboration and continued learning. On the email marketing side, they don't have design templates to choose from, so you have to create and upload your own in HTML.

What problems is Gist solving and how is that benefiting you?

I'm still in the early days of putting it's through its paces, however Gist will ultimately replace three existing separate software systems that I am using which is 1. Email marketing tool, 2. Drip feed Tool and 3. Chatbot tool and potentially even more tools via forms and pop-ups. As mentioned earlier, having all these under one roof for a low price is one of the major appeals of the platform compared to similar service providers on the market. As well as using for my own business, I also see it as a good cost effective alternative for my small business clients, particular the ones that are similarly currently using multiple platforms and paying multiple subscription fees.

"A Solid Customer Interaction Tool"
What do you like best about Gist?

I love that Gist pulls together several different types of customer interactions and ties them together in one location. I love being able to see who has interacted with what emails, chats, etc. Not only can you get in touch with your customers with email/chat, but you can also have the ability to create a knowledge base and better service your customers.

What do you dislike about Gist?

The emails are still a little basic. You can code a custom email template, but I wish there was a way to pick from several different email formats or the ability to customize those in greater detail.

What problems is Gist solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before implementing Gist, I didn't have an easy and straightforward solution for live chat on my website. Additionally, I was using a separate email provider. What made me switch to Gist was the ability to have my email and chat platforms united in one tool, rather than having two separate tools that didn't talk to one another. It makes it much easier to capture leads (either through the lead form or through the chat functionality) and to follow up with those leads through chat and email.

It's resend email to people who have not opened the email feature.

Get gist needs to work on the reporting side of things, there's not enough data

Being with MailChimp restricted us in many ways, we couldn't truly engage with people on a massive scale, Get Gist allows us to create workflows and drip campaigns far more efficiently

"Great tool and rapid development"
What do you like best about Gist?

When I first started using Gist it was in a beta stage (and was called ConvertFox). Over a short period of time they grew their team and product to a serious All-in-one platform for customer support, live chat, marketing, drip-feed email campaign and much more. I love that the team develops the tool so fast and efficient.

What do you dislike about Gist?

Sometimes it can be a bit slow, but I guess most tools that are THAT powerful need a bit of time to load.

What problems is Gist solving and how is that benefiting you?

We offer live chat support to our customers, use their CRM to keep track of our customers and how they behave and we also occasionally send emails via their system. In the future we want to integrate even deeper.

What do you like best about Gist?

Gist provides us with a single, all-in-one software platform with incredible power to support our clients and enhance our sales and marketing. Gist allowed us to replace several very high profile applications (like Zendesk, Mailchimp and others) with one platform. At the same time, they have additional features well beyond those platforms that we did not expect. That is saving us money and time. More importantly, we can support our clients and potential clients 24 hours a day and seven days a week and we can serve them with very targeted messaging and help. When it comes to their own support, Gist give us very responsive support using their application. From our experience, they care very much about their clients. They have a clear vision for the future and continue to live up to their promises by regularly delivering release new features.

What do you dislike about Gist?

For us, there is nothing to dislike. We cannot fault their product or their customer service.

What problems is Gist solving and how is that benefiting you?

Live customer support, Knowledge Base, autoresponder messaging, targeted email drip campaigns, automations, inbound and outbound marketing, contact management, website popup forms, online calendar bookings, tracking activity across our application and our website, and more.

The broad functions it offers your site. The functionality of the tool is amazing. What's best is the team is dedicated to improving Gist. They are always giving more value to their customers; with tools such as scheduling, forms, live view, and working on deliverability.

What do you dislike about Gist?

Wish their forms had more options (WIP). The tool has a steep learning curve, but they have some great support and educational material.

What problems is Gist solving and how is that benefiting you?

Gist is a great asset to my work. I have used it on my own sites and for clients, and it has been a wonderful tool to communicate with customers, and chat with potential leads. It provides chat and forms to add leads, email to continue communications, and other features such as the new live view, which help in seeing how a customer is using the site and contacting them.

The widget is beautiful Live chat function is fast and accurate. The iOS App is excellent and works great. Additional details about a user are fantastic. (Gives you referrer, country, visits and all the useful information)

I don't really dislike anything about the tool. It'd very well built and has excellent support.

What do you like best about Gist?

The integration of all the features is killer. Contacts, leads, marketing emails, automation emails, knowledge base, all tie together really well. The UI is nicely laid out and easy to use. As is the APPI, if you need to dive that deep. Well thought and full featured.

What do you dislike about Gist?

I had a couple of issues importing contacts from my app but the support team sorted me out in a few minutes. No else to dislike really. I use Intercom for another business so the concepts and interface were already felt very familiar.

What problems is Gist solving and how is that benefiting you?

I'm using Gist in a SaaS product to welcome and on-board new users and to send new feature emails. Also using automations to trigger messages based on certain user actions.. Users of Intercom will likely see a cost reduction by switching to Gist, and also get a handful of other integrated features included too.

I love everything about Gist. They offer so many great services and keep upgrading them.

What do you dislike about Gist?

I love it. The only thing I didn't love was the change of the name from ConvertFox to Gist. With that said, this isn't a problem.

I've never had a problem with Gist. The benefits are the ability to communicate with website visitors and clients. This helps servicing them and helping them.

What do you like best about Gist?

Since we made the switch from Convertkit to Gist we got several messages from leads and customers who where amazed by the personalized and well timed communication they received from us. All automated without a single line of code. We are more relevant than ever for our leads, and sales have increased significantly. Really happy with this solution, and the great team behind it.

What do you dislike about Gist?

Since they offer almost everything you need for your marketing, they are not the best solution if you are looking for the single best solution for a specific thing.

Way more insights in our leads. Better segmentation, scoring and personalization.

"Indispensible tool"
What do you like best about Gist?

Most valuable for me is the feature rich integration between the solid chat platform and Email Marketing that Gist provides. It has become an indispensable part of my set up. In the beginning I did not like that the brand name back then (Convertfox) was visible below the chatbox. I thought that this was not an ideal name for my customers. (They dont want to be converted or outstmarted by a fox). But fortunately they changed the brand name to Gist. I like that much better. What I like a lot is also that since I have been using Gist (former Convertfox) it has been deploying new features on a regular basis. I feel confident that this will be a future in the hands of a solid company.

What do you dislike about Gist?

I have a hard time to come up with something that I dislike. Perhaps that the interface is not in German? Or that adding additinal staff could be cheaper? Or that it should find me new leads automatically?

That they develop the tool steadily. The support is amazing. If there is any problem, they try to help as best as they can. I’m very impressed by how the tool developed since I got it.

No webhooks and integromat for my plan available. And they block workflows in my plan. Would like to connect more other apps I'm using with webhooks or integromat.

"An All In One Customer Support And Marketing Suite"
What do you like best about Gist?

I've come to depend on the live chat feature so much that I cannot run my business without it. The mobile app makes my dream of running my business remotely a reality. Two months ago I was on the Swiss Alps and got a message from a potential client, I was able to close the customer while spending the day on the mountain top. Not to mention that the knowledge base makes supporting customers on the go a breeze.

What do you dislike about Gist?

Their email marketing features are still not where I would like them to be but they are improving all the time.

What problems is Gist solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am subscribed to the highest tier of Gist, so I am taking the full advantage of the platform. I use it for lead capture, customer support, live chat, and email marketing. I was able to customize the chat widget to match my site's branding and the whole experience is very smooth.
