Greenhouse publishes no prices at all — but it does put SSO on its entry tier, which most software does not. There is not a single dollar figure anywhere on its pricing page; all three plans lead to “Get a demo”. What the page does tell you is where the feature boundaries fall, and one of them is genuinely unusual: single sign-on is included on Core, the cheapest plan, rather than held back for an enterprise negotiation.
- What it is: A structured hiring platform — an applicant tracking system built around interview kits, scorecards, and consistent process.
- Best for: Companies that want hiring to be repeatable and measurable rather than ad hoc.
- Pricing: Not published. Three tiers — Core, Plus, Pro — all quoted after a demo. Verified July 2026.
- The honest catch: You cannot shortlist Greenhouse on price, because there is no price to shortlist on.
What Is Greenhouse?
Greenhouse’s organising idea is structured hiring: every role gets defined criteria, every interviewer gets a kit and a scorecard, and decisions come from comparable evidence rather than impressions. That discipline is the product — it is why Greenhouse is associated with fairer, more defensible hiring, and why companies adopt it when informal processes stop scaling.
The 2026 platform leans on Real Talent™, Greenhouse’s AI layer, which appears on all three tiers at increasing depth: talent matching on Core, fraud and spam detection on Plus, and enterprise-level features on Pro. That middle one is a sign of the times — AI-generated applications and fabricated candidates have become a real problem for recruiters, and Greenhouse now treats detecting them as a named plan feature.
How Greenhouse Works
- Three tiers — Core, Plus, Pro — with no published prices.
- Every plan requires a demo. There is no self-serve purchase.
- SSO is included on Core, the entry tier.
- Real Talent AI runs across all three, with capability increasing by tier.
- Plus adds a BI Connector, sourcing automation, texting, and AI report filters.
- Pro adds governance — audit log, developer sandbox, enterprise data configuration.
Greenhouse Pricing
There is no rate card to reproduce. What follows is what Greenhouse’s pricing page actually states, verified July 2026.
| Tier | Positioned for | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| Core | Bringing structure to hiring | Sourcing & CRM, interview kits & scorecards, scheduling, reporting & analytics, SSO, Real Talent talent matching |
| Plus | Optimising the operation | Adds AI report filters, BI Connector, sourcing automation, texting, Real Talent fraud & spam detection |
| Pro | Managing hiring complexity | Adds unlimited CRM events, enterprise data configuration and security, audit log, developer sandbox & sync |
What actually decides your tier:
- SSO on the entry plan is worth noticing. Single sign-on is the classic enterprise upcharge — in our own reviews this month, Keeper puts it on Enterprise, n8n on a €667 tier, and Softr four tiers above its entry plan. Greenhouse includes it on Core. For a company with any security policy at all, that removes a common reason to be pushed upward.
- Plus is about scale of operation, not size of company. Adding teams, locations, or brands is the stated trigger, along with the BI Connector for reporting into your own warehouse and sourcing automation. If you hire in one place with one process, Core is likely to hold.
- Pro is about governance. Audit logs, enterprise-level data configuration, developer sandbox and sync. Those are procurement and compliance requirements rather than recruiter features, so the people asking for Pro are usually IT and legal rather than talent.
- Fraud and spam detection sits on Plus. Given how many applications are now AI-generated, that placement is worth weighing — if your roles attract high application volume, the feature that filters fabricated candidates is one tier up.
- Everything is demo-gated, so budget evaluation time. No plan can be bought or even priced without a conversation. Expect a longer procurement cycle than for published-price tools, and ask for all three tiers’ pricing in the first call so you can compare internally.
- Ask what Real Talent costs. It appears on every tier at different depths, which usually indicates either bundled tiering or an add-on structure. Establish which.
Who Should Use Greenhouse
- Companies formalising hiring. The clearest case — interview kits and scorecards are the product, and they work.
- Organisations that need defensible decisions. Structured, comparable evidence matters for both fairness and compliance.
- Businesses with an existing security policy. SSO on the entry tier means you are not forced up a tier to satisfy IT.
- High-volume recruiters. Real Talent’s fraud and spam detection addresses a problem that has grown sharply.
It fits poorly for very small teams making occasional hires, where a lightweight ATS costs a fraction; for buyers who need published pricing to build a shortlist; and for companies wanting to trial before talking to sales.
Honest Pros and Cons
Strengths
- Structured hiring done properly — kits, scorecards, and comparable evidence.
- SSO on the entry tier, where most vendors reserve it for enterprise.
- AI fraud and spam detection for a genuinely current problem.
- A BI Connector at Plus, so hiring data reaches your warehouse.
- Strong governance at Pro — audit logs and enterprise data configuration.
- Clear tier logic, each step addressing an identifiable operational need.
Limitations
- No published pricing whatsoever — not a range, not a starting figure.
- Every tier requires a demo, including the entry plan.
- Fraud and spam detection needs Plus, not Core.
- Unlimited CRM events require Pro, implying limits below it.
- Heavier than small teams need, both in process and in cost.
- Real Talent’s commercial model is unstated across tiers.
Greenhouse Alternatives and How It Compares
- Workable publishes its pricing and suits smaller teams, with less emphasis on structured interviewing.
- Lever competes directly on mid-market and enterprise hiring, combining ATS and CRM.
- Ashby is the newer analytics-led alternative popular with fast-scaling technology companies.
- SmartRecruiters targets enterprise hiring at similar scale.
- Recruitee is the lighter, collaborative option for growing teams.
- BambooHR covers HR broadly with recruiting attached, rather than a specialist ATS.

The Verdict
Greenhouse is a genuinely good product with a genuinely opaque price. What it does well is force structure onto hiring: defined criteria per role, interview kits so every interviewer asks comparable questions, scorecards so decisions rest on evidence rather than the loudest opinion in the debrief. Companies that adopt it usually do so because informal hiring has started producing inconsistent results, and it fixes that. The 2026 additions are sensible too — fraud and spam detection responds to a real change in how applications arrive.
The commercial experience is the frustrating part. There is not a single price on the pricing page, and all three tiers route through a demo. That is common at this end of the market, but it means Greenhouse cannot be shortlisted the way a published-price tool can, and you will spend evaluation time before you know whether it is affordable. Ask for pricing on all three tiers in the first conversation rather than only the one they steer you toward, so you can compare internally.
One thing genuinely deserves credit, and it is easy to overlook on a page with no numbers. SSO is included on Core. Across the products reviewed here this month, single sign-on typically sits at the very top: Keeper reserves it for Enterprise, n8n for a €667-a-month tier, Softr four tiers above its entry plan. Greenhouse puts it on the cheapest thing it sells, which means a company with a normal security policy is not forced upward for a reason unrelated to hiring. That is a meaningful decision, and it suggests the tier boundaries here are drawn around operational need rather than around what buyers can be pressured into.
FAQ
How much does Greenhouse cost?
Greenhouse does not publish pricing. Its pricing page shows three tiers — Core, Plus, and Pro — and every one routes to a demo request with no figures attached, no starting price, and no range. Cost is quoted after a conversation, typically based on company size and hiring volume. Ask for all three tiers when you speak to them so you can compare internally.
What is the difference between Greenhouse Core, Plus, and Pro?
Core covers structured hiring: sourcing and CRM, interview kits and scorecards, scheduling, reporting and analytics, SSO, and Real Talent talent matching. Plus adds AI-powered report filters, a Business Intelligence Connector, sourcing automation, texting, and Real Talent fraud and spam detection. Pro adds unlimited CRM events, enterprise data configuration and security, an audit log, and a developer sandbox with sync.
Does Greenhouse include SSO?
Yes, on Core — its entry tier. That is unusual: single sign-on is typically an enterprise-tier feature, and among products we reviewed this month Keeper places it on Enterprise, n8n on its €667 Business plan, and Softr four tiers above its entry plan. Greenhouse including it on the cheapest plan means security requirements alone will not push you up a tier.
What is Greenhouse Real Talent?
Real Talent™ is Greenhouse’s AI layer, and it appears on all three tiers at different depths — talent matching on Core, fraud and spam detection on Plus, and enterprise-level features on Pro. The fraud detection is the notable one: AI-generated applications and fabricated candidates have become a significant problem for recruiters, and Greenhouse treats identifying them as a named plan feature rather than a background process.
Is Greenhouse worth it for a small company?
It depends more on hiring volume and process maturity than on headcount. Greenhouse’s value is structure — kits, scorecards, comparable evidence — which pays off when you hire regularly enough for consistency to matter. A company making a handful of hires a year will find lighter tools like Recruitee or Workable cheaper and quicker to run, and both publish their pricing, which makes them far easier to evaluate.

I love looking at the reports with Greenhouse. It really helps us get a good look at what we do well, what we could improve upon, as well as a good D,E,&I framework.

The virtual option of the even was super easy and accessible. I was able to join hassle free and I love that I can go and rewatch sessions
I didn't like that I couldn't join in any of the extra sessions. I wish there were a few available that I could choose to add on.
I'm excited about the new products and features Greenhouse will be launching to automate and optimize the hiring process. I realized our company is doing really well in addressing candidate's needs when it comes to the interview and hiring process!
I like the variety of options we have. I think the reporting part is its biggest differentiator.
I believe that fewer buttons to reach an action is a significant improvement because today greenhouse becomes complex for these reasons. another point that bothers the human resources team is that only one file can be added at a time.
Today I have solved a lot of accesses due to the number of employees in the company. It would be nice to have an adaptation that gives access with the admin site options to only a specific office. This would be great for managing large teams that run the risk of giving admin access to the site and destandardizing everyone in the company and time spent adjusting accesses.
-reporting -scorecards -interview planning -excited for new sourcing automation feature!
-interface -many sub-pages leave room for error -some duplicate info
-hiring progress/data -more detailed & equitable interviewing
I like the data analytics and reporting.
There aren't any features that I would say I dislike at this time.
Creating diverse talent pipelines and scheduling efficiently.
Love that the information is synced on the dashboard and how it is easily viewed. Have enjoyed the in-take form in keeping a defined process in place and making sure that all team members know what they are looking for.
I do not like that you can't create various company decline templates vs just one. I also do not like that you can't view a job kick off form unless you are collaborator, I feel if you are a recruiter you should always be able to see this and have the same permissions as an HM.
We are solving the candidate experience issue and creating constant touchpoints throughout the entire candidate lifecycle. Benefits are that we can track the entire experience from initial screening to offer/onboarding and where we can see the drop off and improve.
Sourcing automation and learning from Jackye Clayton, VP of TA &DEI at Textio. She was informative.
I provided my dietary restriction for lunch and it wasn't provided. I brought my lunch on the second day. Not a big deal.
Third-party integration, sourcing, and diversity recruiting. Hoping sourcing automation will help to an extent.
I absolutely love the Visual Pipeline. It helps me see all the people and where they're at for any given job. In addition to that, the data provides great insight to everything recruitment related.
If you "transfer" a candidate to a new job, you lose scorecards, information, etc. Sometimes it's hard to find certain information or there are too many ways to go about finding something simple.
The data provides a great view into the number of people we get, and the recruiters we need to make the sourcing, interview, and hiring process more efficient. It also provides great insight into our diversity hires.
Visibility for Hiring Managers Ease of use for TA team
Some functions missing, but they're making improvements regularly
I moved over from Breezy and have been very please with the Greenhouse product
That it creates a structured hiring platform to help hiring be more inclusive and improve candidate experience. It can scale for complexity and size Good data is gathered Highly customizable
Reporting dashboards dont have enough functionality. Still need 3rd party tools to get what i need. Eg. i want to run a jobs report for finance that includes target start date for forecasting and that field isnt available. All fields and tokens sb available for reports or sll templates. The mobile app doesnt provide enough functionality. Cant seemuch.
Improving our hiring process with structured hiring helps increase the liklihood of a dei hire. More equtable based on facts vs emotions.
all users can be part of the experience, reporting
the ability to self schedule multiple interviews
we are solving the reporting problem and it is much more user friendly
the user interface, experience Using the tool
Cost and target customer, can it work for agencies as well
Data and optimizing recruiting experience
This is a very accomodating and sleek atmosphere. You can tell a lot of energy and resources have been spent to make this event great.
I wish there was a little more pre-description about lunch being included as we had made other plans due to the lack of information. Also, one of our attendees had to switch from physical presence to remote. There was no way to modify this within the confirmation RSVP area, so we had to buy another virtual ticket. I reached out on the contact form for an exchange/partial refund about this and never heard back (jared.hill@protocol.ai)
We are getting more organized with our candidate process.
The product is user friendly and intuitive.
Not much, excited for some new features coming up.
Organization is key to success
Greenhouse is the Toyota Camry of applicant tracking systems. It's been under development for a while, which means that every product feature and integration is well tested and robust. While it's not the prettiest or perhaps the most cutting edge, when it comes to robust systems that intuitively understand recruiting, Greenhouse is top tier.
My product design partners actively recoil when forced to use the interface - they're getting better though. Historically reporting has been a major weak point. It *does* require someone to configure it properly, and its very easy to improperly set up.
Greenhouse is *the* collaborative tool for any mature talent org. It helps us hire better, create a better candidate experience, and to make better hires. Ultimately, I could not do my job without it.
I love how easy it is to use and the dynamic flexibility! It's been wildly to our organization!
I'd like to be able to create steps and have more flexibility around the offer stage!
Hiring Automation! This helps me hire faster and smoother!
All of the automation and diversity nudges!
Honestly, I am finding it hard to find anything I do not like - perhaps the ability to post truly remote to more external sites?
Interviewer Preparedness, Hiring Manager Involvement, Clear and Immediate reporting.
Greenhouse makes it easy to review candidate pipelines and keep individual pipelines easy (we use greenhouse to manage recruiting for various PCs and find it very organized and easy to use.
There does not seem to be an easy way to find prospected candidates or candidates based on certain tags. We would also like if there was a better way to automate reports.
We are able to provide several different hiring managers with an easy to use interface to oversee hiring
Configuration was very straight forward and allows for a robust buildout. Easy to track process and get people on board for referrals and job sharing. Strong reporting capabilities!
Lengthy process to open jobs and approve offers (though many steps are necessary this is feedback from hiring managers).
More structured process. Easy to track candidate metrics. Recruiter bandwidth can be tracked better. Multiple posts can track to one requisition.
I love how thorough and detailed the system can be. The interview set up is great and works well with intergrations.
sometimes too many buttons to click and there are few times there are issues with editing existing interviews. lots of processes and sometimes a bit much to train people one (overwhelming on their end)
sourcing and getting our hiring managers to actually use Greenhouse without completely forcing them. keeping track of applicants and tracking reports as much as possible.
The most helpful part about Greenhouse is the referral options. Most of our talent comes from referrals, so being able to easily showcase talent from current employees has been a gamechanger for our organization.
Greenhouse can be a bit clunky for new hiring managers to use. We usually need someone from our team to sit with them and get them onboarded, but I wish our Account Manager at Greenhouse would do this instead.
We are solving our efficiency issues when it comes to employee hiring. We recognize how important the need for keeping interviews and feedback all in one hub is now.
