Klaviyo is so simple, yet provides the most important features. And it gives us a lot of data from different integrations we can work with.
When I work with clients with multiple shopify accounts, I have to have individual klaviyo accounts. I want to make one big account, as it would be much easier when compiling data. I would like to be able to make landingpages, like Active Campaign I would like to make better preference and unsubscribe pages - by having it on landingpages, that would make it very nice. User emails and data storage
Klaviyo is very easy to use. It also has great flexibility to setup simple and complex email flows for your business. The tracking stats are very helpful, and I really like the A/B testing to help dial in what works with the email. I also like that I can allow access to my marketing consultant to help delegate tasks.
It does have a learning curve, but once you watch a couple of tutorials, that can be easily overcome. The pricing structure was a little much when I first started (three years ago), but that was handled in their new structure.
Handling transactional emails (order thank you's, status udpates, and such) as well as email marketing to increase sales and repeat business are key to growing my business and servicing my customers. Klavyio makes it easy to setup the transactional emails and put them on auto pilot. It also makes it easy to setup automated campaigns to keep my in front of my customers.
The software allows you to create dynamic and complex email flows and campaigns. With enough attention given to your strategy, you can create a cross-selling machine based on customer activity. I also love the cross connection to other great apps and software to have a better understanding of your customer.
There are 2 things that I find frustrating. 1) Understanding the software to maximize it to the full potential it has requires a ton of knowledge of how the systems are connected to your marketing ecosystem. Understanding how flows work and how they connect to each other takes a lot of time or money to hire it out. In my company, I have a full-time staff member who uses about 50% of her time to manage the building/understanding process. Once built up, it will be easier to maintain and be a revenue generator. As a non-marketing person, I dislike how hard it is but understand but I get how necessary the complexity is. 2) When using other apps that integrate into Klaviyo I often have to pay massive premiums to have API connections. I already pay for Klaviyo and the other app in their premium tiers, it makes me feel nicked and dimed for something I already pay for.
It allows me to create dynamic cross-selling based on an individual's profile activity. The automation allows me to set months of content in advance with great metrics.
It is easy to use and has a ton of functionality. Anything I can't figure out right away I can easily get help with either on youtube or from their help desk.
I find that a lot of revenue gets attributed to email that is not actually from email (e.g. subscription renewals).
Klaviyo makes it very easy to automate email flows that I never would have thought to implement as well as capturing customer info on site.
The platform is kept up to date with modern features. Klaviyo integrates well across most other major platforms. It is easy for the team to use both to produce a marketing campaign but also to analyse the data afterwards.
Setting up all of our flows takes a little while as you can get very granular and set up many different scenarios. Similar with segmentation, segmenting our database is sometimes tricky as there are many options.
Klaviyo allows us to stay in communication with our customers and segment them so that they are getting the right messages at the right time. It allows us to share updates, promotions and other brand messages with our clients.
There are many options and ways to be creative
There are issues sometimes with differences between the mobile and desktop version of emails. And theres no way to forward an email while maintaining its formatting.

Managing SMS and Email for multiple clients in one place
The essence of marketing is that people buy what they see. The Klaviyo platform allowed us to segment our customer data based on some common behaviors and email them using templates to keep them engaged. As a result, psychologically, we are able to constantly remind users about our products. Moreover, software requires no coding to perform any extra functions.
Its integration with other software didn't appeal to me. Initially, it is a bit difficult to understand how it works, but you will be fine once you get it figured out. This would be great if it worked as smoothly on mobile as it does on desktop.
The biggest challenge in marketing is keeping existing customers than gaining new ones. We keep in touch with them through Klaviyo by sending them discount coupons and updates. We have a much better relationship with our customers now than ever before. By using kalviyo we solved a major problem of converting leads into customers and generated good profits as well.

Klaviyo is your email marketing partner. It is best at what it does. If your company, just like ours, consider email marketing as a big marketing tool (which is so true) then Klaviyo is what you need. It helps you in every step of your email marketing journey and the results are obvious.
I do not see any help as they claim at the start. The help after you are in is just not there. We struggled a lot while we started using it, whenever we had issues and tried to reach out to them it just took way too much of our time before the help arrives. It is a big issue if you are a complete newbie to this platform. Watch out for the pricing. No matter how wealthy, the big, small or successful company you are. This factor here plays an important role and if you think you will get their services cheap you are wrong here. The prices are quite high when you get in, you will see the bills being doubled for the services you use.
Klaviyo help with building campaigns, automation, autoresponders, and much more. You name it and you will get it here. The platform is robust and it is compatible with all technological advancements according to the needs of today’s world. It helps you with getting that scale of progress is always higher.
I love how easy the platform is to use, from setting up flows to designing emails it's got everything needed in one place. Great for shopify users.
My only issue with using Klaviyo is the limited dynamic content options

Multiple customizations and everything under one platform. I previously had to hire an agency that was doing cart abandonment browse abandonment emails, make spinwheel and timer campaigns etc. Now I can do everything from Klaviyo itself by adding the respective apps. It's super easy and convenient. All you need to do is understand the flows and accordingly make it happen!
You need to learn the platform first. It's easy but I had to go through a lot of external youtube videos to understand how Klaviyo's emails and other features work. Klaviyo's own tutorial videos weren't very helpful.
It is taking care of my entire email marketing. Right from getting higher subscriptions due to spinwheel campaign, to sending cart recovery emails, to sending newsletters almost everything is being covered. I don't need to rely on other agencies for email activities anymore.
The best thing about Klaviyo is the User Experience and how it is super simple to use even for a first time user. You can easily navigate within the tool and figure out where you can find/create customer data lists (lists), how one can create a new campaign, and where one can find the reports. Moreover, Klaivyo has its own resources as well so you can easily check it out and learn the tool.
I find a few options missing that could come in handy, For example, I could still be interested in editing a campaign if I have scheduled it for a later date or I could still be interested in an already sent campaign to be saved as an email template but I find those options missing. The email editor could use a few changes here and there as well.
It helps me to send Email Campaigns to my audience and since it is easy to use, I can easily create and schedule/send email campaigns for various occasions within a few minutes. I can segregate my lists and be specific to client actions.
Klaviyo is super easy to use - the platform interface is similar to other email marketing platforms so there's little boot-up time in terms of figuring out how to use Klaviyo if you're jumping on from another email marketing platform. I also like using their flows tool to make email journeys. They have a lot of pre-built email templates you can use for your campaigns and email build outs as well. Their reporting is helpful and informative - we find their reporting model to match well with what we see in our other analytics dashboards. Recently they launched SMS marketing which shows how they are expanding their product line to match demand and importance of SMS in marketing. They have a lot of webinars and a product certification program where you can learn a lot about using Klaviyo and email marketing in general.
I tried using their SMS marketing tool when it launched and while it was easy to use there wasn't a lot of guidance and direction provided regarding best practices, pre-templated message copy, etc. It looks like the interface and functionality have improved quite a bit since the initial launch so it's probably different now. Another weak point for Klaviyo is their support system - their support specialists are super helpful, but recently I've had some support messages go unanswered and there's a long wait time these days to get questions answered via the chat support system.
How to communicate with customers in a timely, reliable manner via email marketing as well as transactional messages - this is the greatest benefit I think Klaviyo has brought to me. Their interface is straightforward to use, which makes building out emails, making edits, and setting up deployments efficient and low maintenance.
Klaviyo is very easy to use. I am new to email marketing and their platform was easy to set up with helpful instructions. We were using another popular platform that did not have the same capability.
I wish there were more premade templates to modify. I also can not figure out how to do a nice background without it being distorted or obvious lines of repeat.
I like the many flows that can be set up. I am still learning. We have seen orders after we set up an abandoned cart flow. We are seeing an increase in business with our email marketing set up.

I don't like the price and how you keep having to up your monthly fee when you add subscribers. The levels between price changes are too small.

The transfer from another CRM was not the easiest as the tags I previously had, weren't transferred.
