Klaviyo has excellent integration with Shopify, arguably the best in the industry. I represent an agency, we've partnered with Klaviyo to offer this solution to our clients and we couldn't ask for more in terms of the solution and the journey they provide to merchants and our internal team. The platform can be as complex or as simple as merchant requirements dictate, which is great as we work with brands through various stages of growth. Having the knowledge that the solution is scalable as they grow certainly gives merchants peace of mind. The single best feature would be the sheer amount of integrations available. For merchants with a growing tech stack, it's vital that data is passed between tools so merchants have a holistic and actionable view of interactions.
I feel that Klaviyo could be an 'intimidating' choice for those merchants that have particularly basic requirements for emails. If you're occasionally sending campaigns and aren't interested in automation, building profiles and really making the data work - it's unlikely you'll see value from this product.
Klaviyo allows greater accuracy in targeting the right customers (or prospective customers), at the right time. This is driven by the data that the platform passively collects via integrations or user consent. This means that the likelihood of engagement is significantly higher. More engagement = higher LTV.
Customer segmenting is easy to set up and offers many options to hone in on different audiences. It also integrates with every other tool in our tech stack. Email templates are very easy to design and use - Even for users who don't have design or creative background.
It is a more expensive platform. The one "bug" to me is that you can't change a trigger once you've set up a flow.
Engaging customers and generating revenue
It's easy for us to create flows and see how each email/text impacts our profit.
The texts seem a little pricy but when you see the return, it's definitely worth it.
We look at which campaigns perform better and why. It's great to replicate the things that work, because you know it's working!
Using Klaviyo gives your company and your customers value. It's easy to use for email, SMS and pop-ups. I like that you don't need to be an expert to use it.
Some processes are very manual, which at the begining it's ok, but with time you need to do things faster.
Email and SMS campaigns are launched with Klaviyo, an epic win for our sales. Also, automations are very helpful since they're already built.
The flows are the most helpful. From our customer service to campaign emails and SMS, we are able to streamline and personalise the Kulani Kinis customer experience to meet their needs.
There are very few limitations, such as not being able to include MMS in our Australian targeted SMS or being able to pin specific timezone send times within campaign scheduling.
We solve a lot of customer service issues, we are able to reach out and not miss things that may otherwise slip through. The greatest benefit has been reducing the work load for our customer service team and also being able to ensure all our customers get the best experience.
The ability to create segments based on customer attributes and history is great. If I wanted to send emails to every customer that has made 3 purchases over a certain dollar value in an 18 month span in a specific state, I can do that with Klaviyo segments and campaigns. I can also create flows for things such as back-in-stock alerts, cart reminders, checkout reminders, and more. Klaviyo also integrates with our e-commerce platform, BigCommerce.
The cost is rather expensive and the customer service can be very slow. It is still a great value and a massive part of our marketing strategy. They also offer a "showcase" which has nice-looking email templates to use as inspiration for designing, however, you cannot use them, just view them.
We were using Mail Chimp for our email marketing and it was a lot harder to gauge the success and send such targeted and segmented emails. The capabilities of Klaviyo seem to surpass MailChimp by leaps and bounds.
The integration to shopify is such an easy process and the data sync is a treat. We use klaviyo mostly for the abandon flows and it has been converting really good.
The only drawback is the billing. It gets expensive as our subscribers increase. And it really gets tricky with profiles and user suppression. Other than that I do not see any flaws in this system.
Klaviyo and flows has been lifesaver to e-commerce seller like me. And it's automation process which makes the work much simpler and faster. Klaviyo pays for itself.
There is a great deal of support always available in the form of either direct contact or articles and classes.
While it is intuitive now, I did find there was a bit of a learning curve with some of the most technical aspects.
I am able to easily track metrics and assess the effectiveness of my campaigns. I can see that Klaviyo has directly impacted my revenue and allows me direct access to my customers at a time where social media reach is unpredictable.
Klaviyo is a comprehensive communication hub for eCommerce and gives a single home and view for email and sms and integrates the most popular marketing tools.
The email drag and drop editor is glitchy and slow. Most of the time, it's not a big issue but the lag can be a little frustrating.
ROI is really easy to see with conversion tracking and Klaviyo shows you how to maximize revenue with campaigns and automations.
I like that the platform is easy to use and my dashboard looks clean and uncluttered. Menus are navigatable and make sense. I also like all the classes and webinars they host, makes me feel like a pro even tho I'm def not.
I haven't experienced anything that I didn't like.
I'm able to run marketing/email/sms for my small biz in one place that's very user-friendly. Having increased access to metrics is also very awesome.
