Email flows work like a charm. It is highly customizable and great in the means of creating rules and segmentation. Mail builder is easy to use and allows enough customization to avoid HTML coding
Terrible internal analytics. It really sucks - GA and results in Klaviyo dashboard are usually at least twice different. There is no way to work with a single account with two Shopify stores that share database. We have to make it through Zapier and still need to do some manual checks every week to keep the track
Moved from Mailchimp on recommendation and Klaviyo turned to be an amazing tool for e-commerce email flows.
The flows are pretty straight forward and easy to set up but you can make them more complicated if you need to. There is a drag and drop builder, A/B testing, and discount codes, and website popups/email collection forms. It integrates well with Shopify and other e-commerce platforms.
There could be more integrations or more complex metrics. Wish they had gamified popups like sprin the wheel option. You can't connect it to Facebook Messanger or have push notifications like some CRS services. There could be more automation offers. Issues connecting with Tableu.
Customer signups on the site, education with education flows and offers, winback campaigns offering discounts, and staying in contact with our customers.
Ties into our email platform and the cost is the best we’ve seem
They are working out the kinks so lagging in functions and analytics
Reaching people immediately and with a higher share of voice
The ability to quickly and easily collaborate with my team and all of our various skillsets to get a customer lifecycle up and running was huge for us.
Pricey. Wish there was maybe a live edit feature when working on flows or campaigns so that we can collaborate remotely.
A clear and concise customer journey that is highly mobile and adjustable so that we can fine tune at any given moment.
Simple interface and it's easy to get started. There's a lot of pre-built options to help new customers and novice email marketers get started.
Segmentation feels a little slow. There are some nice-to-haves missing: quickly copying elements of segmentation, viewing outputs, checking counts. Would also be nice to have workflows that show you how many people are waiting in each step without clicking into them (at a high level). I also wish there were ways to see revision history when multiple accounts are in-use. I'm the only email marketer on my team currently, but as we expand, this will be crucial for keeping things clean.
Running our email program without constant issues from the former ESP.
flows segments and reporting are nice and allow me to be able to better contact members based of behaviors.
single metric per flow, cant filter by dates in reporting. limits ability to do larger scale reporting and analytics
email frequency preference is something i'm working on now. benefits have been being able to segment and be able to target specific groups.
Ease of use and the option to use templates make sending customized emails easy.
There could be more options to edit photos and do more advanced things within the platform.
Reaching customer segments easily in one platform.
The live chat available during business hours is helpful.
There could be more design features. Many things have to be done in source (coding) which most people are not familiar with.
A/B variations allow us to increase email open rates. Flows allow us to increase the sales from our website.
How well it integrates the users from Magento into Klaviyo. You can see how users interact with your site, what pages they visited, and what campaign they came from. A bonus is how it can create and update Facebook audiences, based on lists.
That it can not do unique coupon codes for each user in Magento. This feature is highly needed for Magento. I can put static codes, but the issue is that it gets shared..
Sending out welcome flows and campaign, for different user groups in Magento. Depending on the user group in Magento, I can set up unique flows for them.
Generally the support you get is brilliant. Our CSM has been useful, the support team are also helpful. The platform itself is very user friendly.
Support team being based in USA. And the Magento integration being absolutely dreadful.
Reduces dev time and resource, speeds up certain processes and allowed us to scale the email and CRM function rapidly.
Email and SMS analytics ready to use out of the box
Limited options when it comes to conditions and customizability
Transactional and Marketing emails and SMS. It helps by offering a drag and drop interface and analytics
The ability to create almost unlimited flows based on customer attributes.
Long queues for support. Old support documentation that doesn't fully address issues. Bugs in the software.
We had a lot of product recommendation issues with MailChimp. Klaviyo took care of that with ease.
email editor is very simple, and so is setting up a sign up form
analytics are spotty, created automated campaigns is tedious, segmentation is limited, searching contacts is near impossible
capturing email addresses, retaining customers, and getting new users to convert
The ease with wgich you can create email templates and modify the existing ones. Create workflows and see the performance. Its all handy and quick.
Dynamic properties cannot be used in email templates for specific needs
Us8ng klaviyo for email marketing automation. The workflows are easy to setup and the analysis is good.
Ability to create dynamic segments and flows
Unreliable analytics. They never line up with Google Analytics. Klaviyo needs to work to have a more solid integration with Google Analytics. They also don't have a reliable chat support.
We're able to build out our automated series exponentially with Klaviyo.
IMO Klaviyo is really similar to a lot of other email platforms. One plus to it, though, is the flow system you can set up for emails. (But a downside to that is that you can't edit the "incoming" manner after originally setting it up)
Lots of limitations (see likes), but their support is responsive and open to feedback.
Email marketing
Great data insights compiled from campaigns. If you are going to invest the time into email then this is a great tool to have.
Double the price of platforms like mailchimp. You need to be fully committed to email if you want to make the price worth it.
The data available from campaigns makes it easy to be more strategic.
The platform has a lot more features than MailChimp but still isn't super robust. I like the ease of use and the options to use a lot of advanced automated flows. A/B testing is a lot better over MailChimp as well and have more options to test.
Some of the anaytics aren't all the way correct when looking at the Automation Flows. In order to see any data of past flows in the main dashboard you have to have that flow active. Really makes reporting time consuming as you have to go into that individual flow campaign variant to see what the numbers are. A/B testing has some great options but still lacks some options in testing automations.
The business problem we are solving by using Klaviyo is having a smart email marketing platform that helps optimize campaigns through automation and a/b testing.
The possibility to design the emails for desktop and mobile (even though it makes the emails weigh too much).
We have lots of issues with the plugin (Magento), and there are no web automations.
Sending newsletters and flows.
Creating segments is pretty easy to do in Klaviyo
Customer support is competent, but tight better be prepared to WAIT A LONG TIME to get someone on chat support
Outbound email marketing
