It's a fast, one-of-a-kind solution. It's like no other content strategy out there. It's about so much more than keywords—it's an amazing blend of ingenuity and AI.
The learning curve—it's unique, but you have to give it time. At first, it's not the same cookie-cutter content strategy, and it can take time to trust the process.
The software enables us to create high-volume, high-quality content for a variety of clients at scale.
It's a pleasure to work with the MarketMuse team. When they combine their diverse individual expertise with ours to solve a problem, great things always happen!
Absolutely nothing—I can't at present think of anything I dislike about working with MarketMuse.
The MarketMuse team collaborates efficiently and creatively with its content partners to develop tailored, scalable processes that work for each client's unique content goals.
I love their content briefs. Having a very strong brief to hand to my writers makes them 4x more efficient and their content comes back with all of the major contextual and semantic keywords, exactly how we needed to target them.
The team has done a great job helping you through the process of learning the tool, but because I've never seen anything this robust before, it took me a little bit to figure out where everything was and how to get the most out of the tool. Once you get the hang of it though, it's great.
Our content strategy was radically accelerated and strengthened. Over the past year of using it, we've seen our traffic grow steadily and consistently, and each new article we put up succeeds right out of the gate. MarketMuse has taken all the guesswork out of content creation.
I like how MarketMuse isn't just a content optimizer based on a single target keyword. Tools in that category can be useful, but they don't fall inline with how Google serves up websites / content based on search intent. Continually planning and adjusting a content strategy month to month is a very time consuming process, but it needs to be done. MarketMuse saves a ton of time by allowing you to look at a high level strategy (what topical areas am I lacking, which ones do I excel at?) while also allowing you to optimize single pieces of content that fall into your overall strategy. The dashboard view is my favorite part of the software because it makes all of the data more digestible.
It' s more on the expensive side compared to other tools, but they are one of the few platforms in the content strategy space that isn't just another copycat. The price won't be an issue if you don't have software sprawl across your organization. MarketMuse can easily replace several tools in your stack right now (depending on how you plan content), and is a huge value add for the price.
Less time spent reviewing the content strategy (major plus), better views of our topical strengths on our current content base, and a deeper analysis of what competing sites are doubling down on (or not).
I run an ecom portfolio and ecom is notoriously hard to write a lot of varied blog content for. MarketMuse helped us uncover golden nuggets of opportunity to write content that has helped move our blog to 10% of traffic. This has helped our topical authority for SEO, increased rankings and moved the overall organic search revenue in excess of the cost.
No real dislikes. It really pays for itself.
It is difficult to find regular topics for an ecommerce business.
What would your website look like if you could sit down with the execs at Google? Marketmuse helps us figure out, what people are talking about, what to cover in our content and then how to ensure that we deliver the best content possible. A recent feature recommends the content the will best benefit our site and how to improve existing content. This means our customers have the best experience possible. If you're looking to go for the best and are comfortable with the price, MarketMuse is the software and has the team to make sure you get it right.
As with all enterprise software, it isn't inexpensive.... it's the buy it once philosophy of paying more but getting what you need. Creating content takes time, money and care.... that's inherent in all content marketing.
Ensuring all content meets the end needs of the customer, reviewing writers, improving SEO presence.
Fast, strong insights that lead to action. I know why SERPS are ranking my competitors and can implement strategies to overtake them.
Having an app for the phone or iPad would be awesome.
How to breach the holy grail of SERPs, page 1. So far MarketMuse has increased the ranking of all of my sites and whenever I have a problem, their team has been willing to assist me.
Consistent impact on content creation and optimization. MarketMuse enables me to know what to write and how to execute. I like the ability to find additional topics and keywords to include in my content that help me show google I'm an authority on the topics I'm writing about.
I wish we could order content through the platform. I hope this is an option in the future.
It helps me to demonstrate that my website is an authority in my various niches.
I like the UX of the tool. It provides so much powerful data and insights on our content while being very easy to navigate. The onboarding is easy and intuitive. We didn't waste our writers' time with training, which usually is a pain with other SEO software.
I wish it was a bit faster, although I understand that this is not an easy task given the amount of data they need to constantly process.
Improving our organic search in a very straight forward and intuitive way.
MarketMuse is 'the' platform for content strategy and optimization. We've been using MarketMuse for over half a decade and they've had nothing but great support and a great platform to work with that's produced serious results for our clients.
The only challenge you may have with MarketMuse is understanding the overall content strategy. It can be a steep learning curve, especially for beginners. If you're serious about content and being the best at your craft, then you'll need to commit time to learning the platform and advanced content marketing strategies.
We used the MarketMuse platform to build a gap analysis and then to optimize both new and existing content. The benfits of having a platform that aggregates data is you're not just guessing what keywords or topics to write on, but rather, you know exactly here the sweet spot it. We've seen huge SEO gains from using MarketMuse. It's a very powerful tool.
The range of data-driven insights offered; the way, when I think I've exhausted my own abilities to maximize content strengths, MarketMuse always has additional insights to offer; the easy-to-use, intuitive interface.
I know it's because of the volume of data being handled, but there can be some delays until the results of whatever function I'm trying to carry out (Questions, Optimize, etc.) are available.
Again, because MarketMuse is based on real data, I am able to make decisions regarding content strategy based not just on experience and logic, but on real-world results. I can be strategic with my testing as well, prioritizing what to experiment with in content—again, based on big data. Time and time again, these decisions have yielded real-world content performance. I've seen rankings improve over time.
Having used Marketmuse for one of my clients for the past six months, I can confidently say it's by far the best and advanced AI-driven content marketing tool in the market. The tool has some unique features you usually don't find in other similar tools. One of my favourite features is the AI-based content brief generation. The tool can give you a detailed brief which includes headings, subheadings, wordcount, semantic keyword suggestions and a 'target score' which you need to hit for 'maximum optimization' for a given topic/keyword. The module has a built-in content editor which makes content creation and optimization an easy task. The tool focuses on topics rather than keywords which is what search engines prefer nowadays. MM can take a topic and breakdown it into semantically related keywords. So if you want to rank and own a topic, the tool can tell you what to write, how to write and even give you a blueprint. It's like having an SEO analyst. Another cool feature is the personalized difficulty score which considers the authority of your site when calculating the difficulty score of a given topic/keyword. I see excellent results across the board after starting to use Marketmuse for sure. The support and training are outstanding, and they have fantastic leadership and passionate team members.
The optimize module lacks the autosave feature.
Topic modelling and semantic optimisation in SEO.
I've been lucky to leverage MarketMuse in two companies. Their intelligent SEO briefs make it simpler (nothing is ever easy, is it?) to figure out what works and what does not when it comes to search terms, and high-frequency keywords. Their account team is second to none and always have our best interest in mind when developing strategy for us to exploit via tactics.
How I cannot move faster with my team to get more done.
SEO is a very tricky art/science. You think you know what you need to know, you hire the snake oil SEO agency promising you page 1 Google results and do not realize them. It's hard work and MarketMuse takes some of the pressure off your team when working on inbound strategies with your website and your blogs by providing context to maximize your search engine visibility.
Marketmuse allows you a bird's eye view of your competitor's and their content. In a world where content is key, Marketmuse is a superb aid to ensure your article or post covers all the essential areas and keywords within a topic. When I used Marketmuse to create website posts for a large medical health site the results were astonishing. In a very competitive and saturated health field, we managed to get a post ranking in the top three within two weeks of publishing. Our performance on Google rocketed after introducing Marketmuse to our content creation. Furthermore, Marketmuse makes creating a content plan an absolute breeze by identifying content gaps on your site. The most progressive and useful SEO tool on the market today.
There really is nothing to dislike about Marketmuse. Once your business starts to make a profit this program is a very worthwhile investment.
Marketmuse helps you to not only compete with your competitors but to overtake them in rankings. I feel that Marketmuse is an ethical tool, in that it aids creators to actually improve the quality of content both on individual posts and throughout the whole of a website. Better content quality equals better rankings, better rankings equal more visitors, more visitors equal higher conversion rates - and that is it in a nutshell.
MarketMuse not only helps us optimize our existing content, but it gives us clear data on other topics and areas of content we can create or improve. Our writers love it because we can help them revise their work for further impact.
Oftentimes the results take some time to load but that seems to be improving, still would love the data much quicker.
If a piece of content is dipping in the rankings, we start with a MarketMuse optimization, which helps improve our overall content score, but that's one of the many benefits. At a glance, we can see what clusters of content we are dominating, what areas still need work (i.e. new articles). We can easily see where we stand with our competitors and easily how they can improve. I use MarketMuse for every website in our 35+ website portfolio, it has become a staple part of our processes and our entire editing team uses it too. Anyone can learn how to use it and if we have questions, the MarketMuse team is very responsive and offers a lot of support. We have been able to rank for really, super-competitive keywords and dominate the niche areas we want to rank in in a fairly short time. We can see gaps in our authority chunks and quickly create strateegies to address that too. I cannot understate the many uses of MarketMuse for serious content strategist, it just makes my life so much easier.
This tool is amazing if you want to be before your competitors. It's so easy to put keywords that they have not used and I like how efficient it is in telling you the score of your article in comparison with the one that is firstly ranked.
There isn't anything I dislike about it. The tool is very efficient and is fast, which is really surprising even for long articles.
I have found it to be easier to use for finding keywords for my articles instead of using Google Analytics.
We are a small company in a very competitive market - always chasing for top positions like everyone else. However, when our head company threw down a challenge - move five top ROI keywords into positions you covet, I had to give it a try. We don't have a great deal of money to spend on video, so MarketMuse was my answer and boy did it perform!
I wish briefs were more readily available. Although we can surely make magic happen without briefs, if you really want to crank up the content volume the briefs will help immensely.
Moving my top ROI keywords into position on page 1, at least the top 3, to generate leads. In a competition against 18 other companies we have moved 1 of 5 keywords into position 3, two have moved to position 1! The other two are moving up the ladder, just nudging them along with more content and they will soon be there!
The MarketMuse briefs are extremely helpful for writing quality content. They help our writers stay on topic and ensure that we're getting the right terms/length/links to create the most effective content.
Can't think of anything. The platform and team are both a pleasure to work with.
We started a blog and used MM the whole way to ensure we were doing the right things to drive quality traffic. They jumpstart our writing efforts.
I like the simplicity of MarketMuse. You can use it as a stand-alone content analyzer or use it to gain a SEO advantage over your competitors' content.
I wish it had search volume information.
Strategic content and copywriting. We're a small business so visibility is critical. MarketMuse has enabled us to dramatically increase our organic search traffic... which now comprises 80% of our website traffic! Not too shabby.
We use MarketMuse on every piece of content that comes through the door. It's super easy to use and makes each article a bit more optimized.
There was a new update recently that is kind of confusing but I think they did it to make the software run faster and be less glitchy.
Market Muse helps us make sure that articles are optimized to their full potential before we publish them.
This tool gives you the on-page supporting keywords (called "topics") to give semantic relevance to your head term keyword for a particular page. It's like TF-IDF on steroids. No one else on the market has anything else like it. Use it and you will see a boost in traffic and rankings!
Before the new MarketMuse Suite was rolled out, there was no sitewide analysis tool for a while. But now they have that - and if you become an expert user, you can figure out how to use it for building even more advanced topical relevance.
It not only gives your page a SEO content score from 1-100, but also gives one to your competitors on the SERPs. Even more than that, it gives you the information you need to beat out your competitors.
As a content producer and manager of a writing team, the Content Analyzer tool gives us the actionable steps we need to improve our work. Through thorough analysis of competitors, we can produce a list of "to dos" for our writers to implement and makes the editor's job faster and much easier. The tool truly shines when it identifies a blind spot we completely missed, which happens more often than we'd care to admit.
The tool does take a bit of time to run, which is understandable given how much data it is collecting.
Not all of our writers have a keen eye towards what may be beneficial from an SEO perspective. With MM, we can close that gap and help them produce a first version that checks off more boxes.
As a consultant, I have to be able to learn what's happening online in a variety of different, complex industries. MarketMuse helps me quickly digest the content necessary for my clients to have success.
As with any SEO tool, there is still manual work that needs to be done with data and the content creation, but I expect that to improve with time.
SEO will always be changing. It's difficult to stay on top of that, particularly for someone working in a variety of different industries. MarketMuse reduces some of the heavy lifting and helps make staying on top of the game faster.
MarketMuse has truly upped our content game, from a creation and evaluation standpoint.
It took me so long to get over the price because it is truly worth the price of admission.
There are tools like Moz's domain authority that tell you the overall score of your website, you have Google's Quality Score/Ad Rank to tell you how you are doing in Google Ads but MarketMuse helps solve the problem of good content.
Content Analyzer gives SEOs the opportunity to save enormous amounts of time by aggregating all related topics being discussed by competitors, giving you a blueprint of what to needs to be written to be competitive.
Tool takes a significant amount of time to run, would be better in batches.
MM helps us create content that is more in-depth, and competitive from both an SEO and user standpoint.
Marketmuse is an easy to use SEO strategy in a box. It makes it foolproof to own/compete for specific keywords and ideas.
Not much to share here really. I guess it could be a bit cleaner and they could provide additional features to automate some of the work.
We're increasing our leads and revenue with MarketMuse. Since using Marketmuse (almost 1 year) we've ranked for over 100 more key search terms and currently have the first Google search rank for 15 of our most important keywords.
The tool not only helps you understand your own rank but you can also understand how you stack up against competitors.
This tool isn't for everyone. This tool best services content creators who want to consistently create and rank. It can be expensive if you don't completely understand how your content works within your marketing mix.
With MarketMuse we are able to help our companies create and rank within their respective verticals. We don't need to have a deep understanding of the vertical to create content that leads to new prospects. The tool helps us see who we are trying to compete with and how we stack up against them.
How easy MarketMuse makes researching SEO strategies and optimizing new and existing content
Load times can be slow or time out occasionally
MarketMuse has been a game changer for our content strategy and SEO. By knowing how to fully cover topics to build topical authority it makes building and executing on a strategy easy.
As a small startup, developing content seemed to be one of the biggest hurdles standing in my way. After exploring options available, I found that MarketMuse offered the most comprehensive approach, and the smartest tool on the market for creating quality content. I am blown away by the tools they have developed to help me create highly competitive articles around the topics that support my business.
There is nothing to dislike about this company. If the product were free, it would be a perfect world, but I understand that is impossible and would prevent me from engaging with the highly talented team that supports my daily needs.
I am a small startup building a web application for a B2C solution. I needed to begin a content strategy to build authority on related topics over time, without guessing. MarketMuse helps me to employ their tools while creating high-performing articles. In a short period of time, I can see my articles on the 1st page of Google's search engine results page! That means that I can save $$ on ads, and rely more heavily on organic visitors to my website. As I build my company, I also want to emulate the culture that is present at MarketMuse. Each team member that I have interacted with has completely focused on my needs and offered creative ideas to help me grow. It's not just an innovative tool that I have received, but a partnership that helps beyond my obvious needs of developing quality content.
MarketMuse is the most comprehensive data source for content suggestions and subheadings. Instead of using 3 tools and cobbling things together, it's all in one place here.
There's still some manual work to take data and create actual content outlines, but that's improving with each release.
The SEO game is always changing. "Deep content" is powerful right now, and MarketMuse is the tool I've used to take websites with so-so rankings to the top. It has revolutionized our ability to compete for organic traffic in 2018.
