MarketMuse helps us to know where our content has gaps and how to write better articles that our audience and Google both will love.
I wouldn't say I dislike anything, but the one struggle is the software is just so comprehensive and powerful it's hard to fully make use of it without a little training. But it is so so so worth it to get fully up to speed on all of the features. You don't want to miss any of these.
We use it for keyword research, or what we use to call keyword research. Now we identify content opportunities, get briefs for our writers, and then incorporate all of the suggestions to make our articles exhaustively complete.
We have written (and revised) better content than ever before due to guidance from MarketMuse. We are using MarketMuse to not only guide content we intend to write, but also to go back and revise content for better SEO.
Would be good to have a keyword research tool integrated in so that you can create new AdWords campaigns based on research.
MarketMuse is helping us rank better in search results against competitors vying for similar terms.
Writing a brief for a writer sometimes feels like it's easier to simply go ahead and write the darn post myself. With Market Muse I not only give my writer what to write about, I also know that what I'm asking her to do is going to guarantee I go head-to-head with my competitors. I no longer have to guess or "put myself in my readers' shoes" to know what to write about.
I would love for the price to come down a bit as we're a small company with lots of other marketing expenses.
Being able to find the right topics, backed by actual AI-driven research.
MarketMuse is a fantastic tool for speeding up content research, planning, writing and editing. Their platform is the most advanced solution for creating in-depth, relevant, high quality content that connects with your audience and gets traffic from Google.
The tool can log you out at times when the cookies expire, which can be a bit annoying.
Content research, planning, and editing. This tool allows me to get briefs for my copywriters so they create content that actually covers a topic in depth and ranks in organic search.
When I compare MM to a service such as OnPage.org, I have to say these guys de-mystify the whole process of LSI and Topic Relevancy.
Bugs that I encounter sometime, but I have to admit, the development team is quick to respond and resolve.
Let me give you an example. I am a skeptic. So I researched a keyword that had about 10000 searches per month average on Google. I taught my assistant how to use MM and had her write a 3000+ words article on that keyword. 15 Minutes after I published that article, we were ranking 4 for a keyword variation that had 3000+ searches and 16 for the main keyword. This month alone that article has made $1824 in affiliate sales.
I appreciate both the insights they've provided over the years as well as the rapid development and product improvement cycle they've displayed.
Sometimes a little slower than I'd like but when you're running AI/machine learning I understand it can take a bit. Not a huge negative for me.
MarketMuse helps me better understand how to create the most relevant content on a particular topic, better answering search intent while providing the kind of content search engines will rank.
The Optimize category is fantastic for making sure your content is properly optimized for SEO
The interface is not very intuitive. To optimize and research topics for a single article, you end up jumping around from tool to tool in a way that feels like the UI could be improved upon. The content scores and topic research can crash or take a while to load.
Helping me find topics for and ideas for content
We mostly use it to create both new content and to optimise existing content. We especially use it to order content briefs on a regular basis which can be easily shared with anyone within and outside of your organisation and which are super easy to understand and work with. The AI integration is great to create an outline for a piece of content or to structure the back end of a content piece, or even to add some insights and ideas when being stuck! I can definitely recommend! :)
Sometimes it crashes which is a little frustrating while writing, but it saves in between so you shouldn't loose any content.
It really helps in optimising our existing website content to make sure it is relevant and high ranking. We're currently creating a lot of new informational content supporting our product pages and we're really enjoying using MarketMuse for that. The content gap feature is a nice plus when prioritising when to publish a piece of content.
I love that I get direct insights on keyword research, personal difficulty, topic clusters, and so much more. It's a great tool to build out our existing SEO content strategy. It's been pretty easy to pick up, and the onboarding has been amazing. Implementing MM has been a game changer for our SEO.
There aren't many reporting/insight metrics, but they said that's on the radar.
We had reached a point in our SEO strategy where we weren't sure where to go. I found MM at a conference and it's been helpful in getting us out of this content rut and directing us toward greater Google rankings.
MarketMuse is great for optimizing content. I use it almost daily, both for finding quick win SEO opportunities and ensuring the content I'm creating will rank for target keywords. It's great for finding related keywords to target as well. The content brief feature is also super helpful and easy to use when creating quality content.
The UX is not the most user-friendly and definitely takes some getting used to
MarketMuse takes the guesswork out of content marketing and allows for easy creation and optimization of content to easily enhance SEO efforts.
On a free tier, it allows quite a decent usage. I used it for quite a while now, and I have to say it helped me tremendously boost the ranks of our articles in google. The interface is intuitive, and I like the Market Muse keyword scoring system.
Plurals and singulars are counted separately, making copy editing difficult at times for no apparent benefit as google looks into different variants of the word regardless. Also, the price for upgrades is relatively high.
Market Muse is fantastic for optimising the articles.
I mostly optimize my blog posts for SEO. MarketMuse shows what keywords I've missed and what is the recommended length of the post so that I'd get a chance to compete with other search results. Overall, I like that many of the optimized blog posts actually rank quite high, I haven't seen similar results with Surfer or RankIQ.
The keywords that the optimization tool offers sometimes are quite off-topic or the same for similar topics. But as I use the generous free version, I'm not mad. I've used the paid version of Surfer for similar queries, and it is less precise.
MarketMuse helps me to add the relevant and missing keywords to blog posts so that they would be more thorough and helpful to the readers and thus bring in more search traffic.
I enjoy scoping out the competition to see what they've done and why it works, alongside the valuable search data that comes back after optimising a page with Market Muse.
I would love to upgrade and be able to plan a content strategy, although the pricing is really focused on enterprise-style companies. This is not a dislike, just a reality.
Clients approach me to develop content for them that will perform well on search engines. Market Muse has never failed to deliver top-notch results in this regard.
The custom keyword suggestions which the in Marketmuse which are generated with their own machine learning models are very much more advanced than any other software currently available in the market.
The pricing is extremely high, and it is significantly higher than any other content optimization software available in the market. Monthly pricing model would be very much appreciated. The yearly locking is a bit too much.
It helps us with our content goals. Helps us rank better in Google, and intern, which leads us to get many more leads and subscriptions for our own business. It also helps in good keyboard research.
What makes MarketMuse the most helpful is it provides the different aspects of the research for you.
The only thing I don't like is it's a little slow sometimes
MarketMuse solves the problem of efficiency for me. It's all my SEO research in one place.
I use the optimize feature most often, and every time it finds keywords that I've missed or underutilized.
I've never used the connect feature, so I can't comment on whether or not it works, but I just don't need it.
MarketMuse assists me in identifying posts that may be underperforming because they are not robust enough. It helps me to optimize these posts and get more eyes on them.
Generous allowances on the free plan are great. The tool does a fine job putting together what you need to write a compelling post to rank on Google. Instructions are clear.
I have run diagnostics for my personal site (not for work) and found some of the insights confusing. I would also love the ability to delete/ignore certain words it serves as allegedly required for ranking on Google. No, MarketMuse, the "all rights reserved" is not a phrase I need to rank on. I could also use some guidance on what to put into headings.
It helps to uncover subtopics that I may not have thought of when first writing a post. This lends more depth and breadth to research and can help reveal hidden insights.
Optimize section is supposed to be the bit I should like best, but no. I appreciate the 'compete' section more because it tells me a lot.
There is no delete button to remove the saved writings, why? Delete is perhaps a vital button on every tool, and application - how can you miss it?
MarketMuse solves my problem of optimisation. I am at peace knowing that my content is being compared against the top valid searches and I have the way forward to curate my writeup in a way that it benefits the readers.
MarketMuse simplifies keyword research. I use the "optimize" feature most frequently. It shows me the average score for my seed keyword as well as a target score to optimize my content.
The biggest downside I've experienced so far is the limited number of queries I receive each month with upgrading my plan. I also think the saved writing feature gets glitchy when I don't complete a project in a single sitting.
MarketMuse takes the guesswork out of keyword research and content optimization. The optimization feature makes me more productive by increasing the speed with which I can improve my content.
allows you to prepare content briefs easily and can generate smart suggestions for internal linking
it alienates itself from fellow SEOs because the pricing is designed for enterprises
it helps me create better content briefs that I could submit to writers. better content briefs in this case means a guide that would ensure SEO success.
Marketmuse makes it super easy to optimize my upcoming and existing blog posts for the keyword of choice. I use it more for refreshing content than anything else and find it very easy to use and impactful.
I find MarketMuse's planning tool a little bit less useful than their optimization. It's a little bit harder to get the hang of, get started with and get a lot of value out of.
It helps me make sure my blog content is optimized in lightweight and easy ways, and makes sure that I get the most value out of the work I put into creating/publishing/refreshing blog posts.
I like that it gives you ideas about the content you may be missing. It will also show you if you are overusing a word. You get more than enough credits to meet most writers' needs.
A lot of the applications are repetitive. You can get away with using the Optimize feature for most of what you need. Each application requires a credit but doesn't provide unique information.
It's helping craft an article that answers all of my reader's questions, by providing additional topics that may not have been covered.
The thing I find the most helpful is their optimization module. You can get suggestions on keywords to use and see what is the average number of keywords/length for top-performing content.
There is nothing I dislike about this product so far.
- Optimizing content to make it perform well. - Improving content quality in the eyes of Google
What we love most about MarketMuse is the optimization feature; you can quickly run your content through this tool and see what topics you are missing. This has been extremely helpful and has elevated our content to a new level!
There is no option to delete reports from plans and tags. You have to contact customer support if you want to delete it, which can impact organization and content planning.
Analyzing existing content to see what improvements can be made. Many features of MarketMuse have helped us to improve our new content immensely, and we are seeing more organic traffic to our web pages.
The content score will tell you where exactly your content stands. The research column with keywords further helps me optimize the content. Overall, this tool will help you a lot while optimizing the content.
The draft system needs to be clear once I feed in the brief. Also, compared with the other tools that I have been using, there are fewer options of heading optimization in this tool.
The content optimization and content planning have helped me optimize loads of stuff. I have been doing optimization much faster than usual.
All of the information they provide is based on your real-world situations. It tells me where to link to based on my existing SEO content and allows me to quickly and easily create content clusters.
The AI function for a full write of a draft didn't work for my very particular search terms. I will give it another try with a different, more broadly used, content type.
I am saving time from all of the manual stuff that I do to keep all of our information updated. It helps with writing, linking, content gaps, optimization and more.
Ability to write and optimize an unlimited number of articles. UI is pretty nice. Keyword optimizations which are suggested are pretty great. Interlinking suggestions are pretty great good from the connect app.
Less number of locations which are added. Adding other goes like India and other South-East Asian countries would be great. There are sometimes very frequent downtimes and it logs you out automatically. Would like some trial credits to try out the first draft feature in the standard plan
Have experienced improved keyword rankings after optimizing with Marketmuse. Improved rankings help in increasing ad revenue with increased traffic. Overall positive results after using it.
I like that MarketMuse is easy to use. It pulls my article via the URL so that I don't have to copy/paste it into the space like other optimizers I've used. Also, it gets results. I've seen articles I've optimized with MarketMuse move up the the rankings.
I think MarketMuse could do a better job of targeting long-tail keywords to include in articles. I feel like there are a lot of LSI keywords and short/broad terms suggested. I'd also like to see an option for optimizing an article that isn't published yet. I'd like the copy/paste option for new unpublished content.
I am optimizing my articles and literally seeing results. I am moving up in the rankings and driving more organic trafiic to my blog. MarketMuse makes it easy to find those LSI keywords.
The best thing about MarketMuse is the kind of in-depth content research it lets you do. It can be a little confusing initially, but once you get the hang of it, you'll know its true worth. I like how nicely MarketMuse tells me exactly what my competitors are doing that's helping them to rank and what I should do to outrank them. It also gives a glimpse of the keyword gaps that helps me rank for keywords my competitors are not targeting.
1. The user interface needs improvement. I'm not saying it's terrible, but it's not the most user-friendly software I've used. 2. MarketMuse had a decent free plan earlier that offered enough for beginners. They have decreased the credits recently, thereby rendering the software pretty much useless for anything beyond testing.
After writing an article, the biggest challenge is to get it to rank. MarketMuse has helped me make sure my article is right up there when it comes to the quality of content required to get to the top of SERPs.
The best thing about marketmuse is its article writing ability and formation of seo friends content. You can easily analyse your content strength and how it will rank on various keyword. It helps you rank in search engine.
Free version has limitation but it's good for beginners.
Market news is helping me to write better content for my blog. It is also helping me to format my block content and optimise it according to search engine requirements. One of the primary benefit is that it saves your time.
