I don’t really have a Downside to purechat. It is easy to navigate and I would recommend it to anyone. I have nothing negative to say.

I did not dislike any of the tools and found that if the company was larger we would be able to fully utilize this application.
Connectivity problems are solved with purechat.
You can have a "quick" statement file to answer commonly asked questions to the customer without having to retype the message over and over. Can quickly help a customer instead of taking several min. on a phone call with them. Like that you can see the name and email of the customer chatting.
It would drop our chats often off line and the customers would have to wait inline again to reach us. So have to email customers to explain and apologize for dropping there call.
Customer service for our online educational program. Quick response to teachers so they do not have to call in and take more time on the phone. Some things can easily be taken care of on chat. If they are having a tech.problem we can quickly get it to the IT dept and respond to the customer a solution or time frame.
The interface is clean and easy to use. I like that it is very simple to create a new widget, so if we want to offer live chat in another area of the website we can get it going pretty quickly. Purechat is also very low cost compared to other chat tools - we were early adopters so that may have something to do with the cost of our plan.
The metrics that come out of Purechat are not very robust. They show you what's going on at a high level (volume) but I would be interested in more performance metrics to measure the support work my staff is doing on chat versus our other support channels (email, phone, Twitter). I'd love a more granular report, maybe one that shows a whole month and gives the daily breakdown of chats handled per operator. There is also no accounting for hand-offs from one staff to another in the reports so that presents some minor inaccuracies in the data. I would also love more data related to the transcripts. Currently, we use them when filing big reports to give our dev staff some context for the problem we're reporting. It'd be nice to extract additional meaningful information from them - like having the ability to tag them with a high level topic, or have them be searchable. We'd love to do more with the information in the transcripts in terms of getting the information to our dev team for site/feature feedback and enhancement requests.
Chat has been a great support channel for us in that we can better assist our users in real time. My staff love using chat to talk to users, and our users appreciate that they can get a hold of someone to help them very quickly. We've also been able experiment a little with the placement of a chat box on our website and have found additional key pages where chat volume goes up, demonstrating a real need for help there. It's also helped us advocate with our dev teams to make some improvements on that page - then we can measure if our chat volume goes down after the improvements are released.
User friendly on both sides (for company and end user). Easy also to adapt the chat to your liking/preferences (look and feel).
Would be great to also send documents via chat & images. Found of out IE compatibility issues, especially IE 1 does not show the compatibility issue icon any more, so we have some users who never see the live chat pop-up. :(

Design and experience of Pure Chat is amazing. It is very use to use and looks very satisfying. Easy to customise and allow it to nicely fit in with your website. Quick replys too for quick replies to commonly asked questions.
We have a rather large team with a lot of chats daily. This means we have a lot of stats. Purechat does not seem to be able to keep up. WIth lots of chats it struggles to go to past transcripts and get agent stats past the same day.

It seems to loose chats from customers once in a while and 30 seconds to respond is not long enough in my business.
Some customers prefer to email or chat over call so it has increased our overall sales.

one thing I dislike about the software that is too limited and communication and could have upgraded forms of improvement that what facilitate the user in finding an answer
The problem is we are solving is through retail clients that are asking questions multiple times an hour, the benefits I realized is ease of access of all the potential buyers and clients
I enjoy being able to customize the interface and save use detail based on customer. Being able to see locations and previous chat history is very helpful especially when a customer returns after being disconnected.
This app has very basic functionality. When working in customer support the ability to share images and documents are a must. Unfortunately, this cannot be done with this app. We have come across instances where documentation needs to be shared so we would have to use a third party application. This sometimes disconnects us from chat. It is an overall hassle.

The setup was incredibly easy and quick to do. Using it was also a pleasure, it was almost impossible to miss a chat while using Pure Chat. The app is also very user friendly.
When I submitted a query due to some trouble with my app, I never received a response from the Pure Chat help team. I have heard similar complaints from fellow coworkers.
