The thing I like the best is that I am not an accountant but I can easily use quickbooks for simple book keeping.
It seems like all the issues of reporting have been fixed but it used to bug me in the past.
Very simply - we dont need to hire an accountant for reports.
I was easily able to input new bills and accounts for the company. I could keep track of monthly spending vs monthly income all in one application. I like that I can access it without the internet if I need to since the company's headquarters is located in a small, rural town. It was easy to learn how to use. I was able to teach others how to use it after only using it for a few days.
There wasn't much that I didn't like. It was pretty straightforward once I learned it. I think my only complaint is it’s only available on PC. I do a lot of work from home and prefer to be able to use my phone vs a laptop or desktop.
It makes accounting much easier to handle by having one place for everything. It was my first accounting job and it eased a lot of the stress I was having about being worried if I would be a good fit. To me,it was pretty simple to learn.
its good for people who uses small business but does not know book keeping, if you do know book keeping or accounting, ia not recommended as you know double crossing and being able to see that process gets on your nerves
sometimes the software fails neesing a newer version which leads to timw loss.
fiancial losses due to. poor billing and loor payment method that leads to paying workers late. tbrough the use of Quickbooks we have been able to increase our income since we easily keeps track of our incomes and expenses this keeps our business focused. also it has enabled us to pau our workers early and the transactions arw safe.
It saves time since it enables one to organize his/her business finances all in one place hence one is able to complete all the tasks in fewer steps.
So far no dislike encounter although it can be hard for the timers users.
Loss of finances. It has helped one manage the finances and also provide accountability for the finances in business.
The fact that it can fit in in a small business and help organize the little finances available in few steps. Its also easy to set up maintain learn and use.
The software can not be used bu business owners who are not trained on its use.
Loss of finances due to poor record keeping and inaccurate billing methods. Quick books has helped to reduce financial losses since they have an accurate billing system that helps reduce losses when properly used. And also accurate when making payments through bank transactions and its the safest.
Ease of use. Can be useful for small and medium sized companies.
Lots of updates, can be cumbersome. Needs better report building.
Easy to implement for most companies. Many third party apps that can be used with Intuit.
This is the easiest program I have found for running our Electrical Company. It has everything you need to keep track of you financing for your own business. I am able to do payroll and keep track of all finances!
That it is hard to have a vendor that is also a customer as it lets you know they are a vendor.
It is making it easier to keep track of vendors, employees and customers. It has saved me time with all programs being in one location.
I like that I don't have to worry about tracking my business expenses. I always have my phone on me so QuickBooks is ALWAYS available. It's intuitive, and as a new business owner, it's one less thing I have to worry about. Since opening my business, filing my taxes has been on my mind. I've contemplated hiring a CPA but for now, QuickBooks is a great place to understand my expenses.
Not quite sure how to also track incoming money. It would be great to have the option to create P/L sheets and understand how much money my business is making.
Tracking my expense (getting ready for my first tax season as a business owner!).
It is a great accounting software for our business. It is very easy to use and its navigation is simple. It is an intuitive tool from the very firt steps of setting it up to creating entries. One does not necessarily need to have perfect accounting knowledgein terms of knowing when to credit or debit a transaction. The payroll feature offers a great deal of relieve. The customers and the vendors accounts are straightforward. It is a user friendly tool.
I think that today the best option would be to go with quickbooks online if one can afford it. However, we tried the Quickbooks online version and one is required to have a USA number for verification. or use other vendors to purchase. I hate that once I create an item in the item list, there is no way of permanently dleleting it, one can only hide it.
We easily create invoices without any difficulties. The scheduled backup feature is a great one We are able to create our payrolls very fast
I like the ease of use and the overall integration of everything.
I don't like that it doesn't have a CRM incorporation.
Accounting
The fact that it is so easy to use and understand. It gives you everything you need to know about your finances with a click of the mouse.
That I cannot use it on my mobile phone and I can only access it on my desktop or laptop.
I solve all of my accounting and budgeting problems on QuickBooks Desktop Pro. It gives me figures that I do not even ask for or think of.
I use the cloud version actually, and is easy to navigate - very intuitive. And while one can mess things up, they certainly don't make it easy; a lot of alerts occur prior to executing a task that the system deems incorrect.
I do wish they had an API for mileage integration tracking and quarterly estimates for 1040 tax filing.
This is a much more robust ERP for our organization, with great API to key efficiency tools we use (Receipt Bank, etc.).
It offers an easy way for tracking expenses, cash movements and generating invoices.
Tue fact that simple posting error could lead to incorrect reports amd mislead decision makers.
It offers a solution to the accounting problem by simplifying the accounting process. Its easy to generate monthly and yearly reports for current and past periods.
How it organizes the materials and how easy it is to reconcile and add vendors and other services into entry. It’s also a good software to track expenses
I do not like the interface of the software. It is too plain and simple. I hope the info was more clear than it is on some of the functions on this particular version of the software
Just accounting
User-friendly, robust history and reporting features, great pop-up reminders/warnings, ease of navigating between tasks
Not in the cloud...honestly that one change would make it beyond perfection!
Not really a problem, but it's become our enterprise accounting system. It's universality has been very helpful for collaboration and outsourcing
The availability of your own accounting/finance software at a low cost and easily tracks invoices and cash flows of business.
Sometimes, transition from one system to another can be difficult. Some data needs to be input manually rather than automatically uploaded on the system
Low cost and convenient for small business. Also, doing payroll is much mote easier in Quickbooks desktop pri
I do the bookkeeping for our contracting business. QB, once learned, is a robust program and it's somewhat intuitive. Makes it quick and easy to kri track of accounting.
I wish the job costing was simpler and that templates (invoices, etc) allowed greater flexibility.
Got the end of year reporting to the accountant in record time this year. We've moved from ADP to QB for payroll... that's been a huge savings and much more straightforward. Its also helpful as a customer, vendor, and HR database.
It is very easy to navigate and everything you need is conveniently located.
When there is any sort of error, it is hard to correct or find the solutions to correct.
It is a perfect all in one for all of our business needs.
Putting in our financial information is extremely simple using QuickBooks. I use this software to input checks send out by our nonprofit as well as to enter deposits that we deposit into the bank. The process is extremely easy. I could not as for a more simple and easy way to put in our financial data.
I have not really had any serious issues with QuickBooks. The only thing that I can think of is that it constantly asks you to back up your information, which can be annoying, but I would rather back up the data than have everything get lost.
We use QuickBooks to keep track of all financial data and information for our nonprofit.
The ability of Intuit to sync with third-party/proprietary software companies has proven more far-reaching over the years than other platform. It makes our ability to do business more efficient in all areas.
There are occasional Payrol errors (PS304 and PS302) that require multiple steps to work-around when trying to install Payroll updates. The fix requires deleting certain payroll entries ("Online to be Sent") and re-entering, which affects past Payroll Taxes, Bank Reconciliations, etc., and therefore requires numerous corrections. So, that is an issue that needs to be addressed within Intuit, so that the work-around does not inhibit totally efficient bookkeeping. But other than that, I have had no issues, and all issues have been solved talking to Support in a timely fashion over the years.
Using Quickbooks solves many business issues, especially considering we also interface with a proprietary software for ordering/receiving/sales outside of Intuit. Intuit has made it very user-friendly to sync and solve many issues related to the outside software as well. When you can identify these issues easily, it makes the proficiency of daily Accounting much more doable.
