Shopify offers peace of mind, uptime, payments etc are all taken care of and we have never experienced any downtime.
Since Shopify is a giant company and attempting to be a platform that works for everyone, they leave out things that were possible on our old platform. One of the items that comes to mind is the ability to see a customers cart. This was a great feature and a necessity to how we interact with our customers, so far Shopify can not support this.
They have solved our ability to be seen on every platform. This was an issue with our old site. I have realized a lot of value in the automated follow up for abandoned carts. We are just about to implement further automation on our customer interaction and follow up campaigns.
Shopify is super easy to use. They have great customer service
Nothing! I absolutely love this site.
Shopify works great at putting so many things all in one place
Simplicity of this product for customers
Nothing that I can complain about. So, I only have positions of positive nature.
Benefits of price and product
Ease of use. We like the fact it's made anyone can pick up and use it.
Lacks features. Wish the mobile app was better integrated
Invoice. Accounting issues solved.
Easy to use and content is SEO friendly and easy to modify.
Only thing I dislike is lack of upselling options and loyalty program. But I understand their are integration options.
Understanding how customers buy and which products are selected more than others. Easy to make business decisions based on analytics and data.
Ease-of-use and ability to enhance your store with an array of robust applications.
Difficulty including very customized html and css coding.
Streamlining operations has been a problem that has been solved. The benefits of clear reporting, inventory management and easy fulfillment have been palpable.
It was very easy and user friendly. I liked it very much.
Sometimes I did not like the speed of it.
I was using it to manage my sales
Shopify is a great e-commerce platform easy enough for a web novice to navigate and use to set up their online store. The UI of the platform is very intuitive and provides the backend user to easily start selling.
The inability to add very customized html and css code is one gripe we have with Shopify's platform.
We were looking for an alternative to woocomerce and made the switch over to shopify. It's easy-to-use dashboard, synced smart phone apps, and comprehensive reporting have streamlined business operations across the board.
I love that i am able to view all of my inventory in once place as well as keep track of product, sales and flow of the business.
The ony flaw i have found with shopify is that, like most programs, it lacks the ability to be integrated with other softwares and systems. Additionally, it does make things a little more complicated in terms of ordering from third party sources and inventory replenishment.
We are solving productivity lags with the abilities to keep track of services offered and availability. To be completely honest , since using Shopify; as a company we are more effective and efficient.
Shopify integrates with a multitude of fantastic solutions that makes Ecommerce adaptable for a variety of industries.
There are some custom areas where Shopify can't meet my clients needs, but this is very rare.
I work for a digital marketing firm that helps local firms better marketing themselves. Shopify allows us to quickly set up and optimize efficient, wonderful Ecommerce solutions.
It is easy to navigate and build your website with shopify. Their themes are excellent & sleek and unique. They are trendy and up to date. It is "dummy proof' and so easy to upload photos and build pages for each unique product. I love the customer service and support. If you need something done, the reps on the phone will help you log in and change the theme or make the edits and adjustments. It is awesome - if they are unable to get an answer, they will help find someone in shopify who can help. No call or question is ever unanswered.
Chargeback process with shopify. This sucks. They have an antiquated charge back process. They let you know you have a chargeback and then you have to submit documentation that shows that it was a sale that went through and was authorized. Then you have to wait from there and there is no one you can call to. So if you have a chargeback, then you are screwed. There is no way to defend your chargeback. No one to talk to. Just submitting docs requested online and there is no follow up. Just a final decision. Now I don't know how they can get away with this because no bank, no credit card company - no other company does this to their merchants. It is almost like a scam.
Spotify enables entrepreneurs and normal people to be able to build seamless, attractive websites. I love that everyone has an opportunity to be in business and start their own business.
I love the inventory system, makes it so easy to keep track of what I have. I can simply enter the numbers in one time, and easily see what I need to order more of.
It's a bit pricey for what it is. There are other platforms that are so much less expensive. Even though Shopify is best, price is an important factor when choosing.
Makes it simple to build an online store. I had no experience before Shopify, and now I do e commerce all the time!
Shopify is a much more user-friendly eCommerce solution than the competing solutions, like Magento. If you are familiar with CMS solutions, such as; WordPress or Joomla, you should feel right at home with Shopify.
There wasn't much we didn't like about Shopify. We have only used it for one project, but so far so good. This project didn't require a lot of custom or discounted pricing. Magento excels in regard to that sort of pricing customization.
We were building our an online store for a golf clothing manufacturer. Shopify was their choice of platforms. Although we had experience with Magento, we didn't sway the client to Magento in hopes of getting our hands of Shopify. We all took an 8-9 class on Lynda.com to get familiar with Shopify. It was that easy. After a few hours of online classes we were up and going. The solution was that straight forward.
Interface is easy to use and integrate into current website or system
Additional features require additional costs
Online inventory helps to have back up of what's in stock.
Shopify provides a great online experience with little to no technical know how needed. Set up the store, add your products, set up the logistical information (pricing, tax, shipping, etc) and you are ready to go!
I currently like it fairly well. I guess they could always add more features.
Social media purchases are a huge market and shopify helps to reach clients through all online interactions.
Being someone who helps others market their businesses and services, I feel like it is an easy platform to get them up and running. It has the basics and is user-friendly.
It can be limiting in design, which makes it hard for the more knit-picky people.
I help other market their own businesses. If they want to design their own site, I always recommend spotify as one of my top 3 suggestions because it takes a lot of the middle factors out of the picture, making launching a website more easy for the less-technology savvy.
I appreciates that there is a sales system that is easy to use on both the consumer and the businesses end.
Would love to able to sort fulfillment needed by products.
It makes it easier to fulfill order requests and turnaround time to customers.
The ease of use, getting to market quickly and access to powerful admin panel. The reporting is awesome and gives my customers a quick snapshot into their business. I don't need to generate additional basic data or reports but can offer actual insights to help grow their business.
Limitations in checkout, static templates unless you go Pro and limited product options (merchandising etc.) without extensions.
Building ecommerce solutions for clients. My ability to offer value to customers is huge... getting a store live in weeks vs. months. I create accounts for my customers, so they have control and don't need to use multiple accounts. It makes the process muche easier to manage for everyone involved.
I actually really like the daily emails that give articles or helpful hints for growing your business.
It's pretty user-friendly, but still takes a little getting used to (as most new interfaces do).
Just the basic problem of business growth -- wanting to expand my reach and sales as well as my company size. It's definitely been helpful in all aspects of business growth especially with the articles and education that I feel that I've gained. I feel more well-versed in sales and business growth aspects.
I'm a fan of the interface--it's super easy to use and once you add in your shop items, it's so easy to create a professional-looking storefront. Updating quantities of items is quick and easy, too.
When users are looking at an item, I wish that users could actually click to open a larger image of the item in a new window instead of just zooming in. This might be nit-picky, but I know that I like being able to do this when I'm shopping.
We were selling merchandise out of our office and realized that many people who live outside of our area would love to have a shirt or hat. This gives us the opportunity to get our merchandise out there to these people and also others who may not have the ability to get into our office,
Everything is streamlined with this software. Easily access your listings and update you inventory counts.
The only thing I dislike about Shopify is the fact that you must upgrade your subscription in order to create and use PROMO CODES
Makes filling our online orders so much easier. It also makes contacting our customers easier as well.
It'a user-friendly and has really nice design features.
This just wasn't the right fit for what we were doing. Tried to use it more as a means to facilitate sales of tickets and packages for events and that's not the intended use, which makes sense.
Moving forward, if we have products as opposed to events or services, this will be a more valuable tool.
Easy to use, great UI, never had any functionality issues EVER! Been using them for almost a year now.
I'm not sure how the pricing is going to scale up so I'm a little concerned about that but other than none really.
So much time saved creating a website. The website looks amazing. I don't have to use complicated plugins or anything just simple but not lacking in features.
How quick and easy a shop can be created and then shared on social media.
The layout is still a bit clunky for a product that's been around a while, but it's still quite usable.
The ability to reach a broader audience around the country and overseas that I would not have otherwise found.
Shopify is an easy method to set up a practical online store.
I would like more apps to be able to integrate into my shopify store.
Creating a one stop shop for running an online store.
I like website design and its ease of customization.
I would like to have drag and drop feature for website and theme.
Building a team of fulfillment
Shopify was easy to use for a small organization like ours. It was helpful to have an A-Z solution for e-commerce so we weren't reaching for multiple businesses/organizations to complete the process for us.
Shopify was just slightly more than we really needed. We wanted to be able to offer a handful of items for fundraising purposes and our commerce did not need as much as Shopify offers.
NA
Very nice interface: easy to use Great fulfillment service: you do not have to mess with shipping and payment provider and can start selling right away. I also like the fact that various shopify experts can assist you (I did everything myself however, is is nice to know you can have support and help from professionals near you!).
The app store is not so easy to navigate. There is a bit of try and adapt to find the solution however, each iteration helps you improve your knowledge of the platform and of what you really want.
Sell directly with my own branding and not through a third party platform like Amazon or eBay
I like the security and trustyworth of the service. Also is cheap but this is not definitely the most important feature of this great service.
All Shopify features are awesome, I think that I dont have anything that I dislike.
I can automate all the sales process with only a provider. I can manage feedback and refunds easily.
I have been very pleased with Shopify and how well it has been a turnkey solution for many of my clients. We have used it now for almost 10 websites. The eComm solution is ideal for websites and has helped integrate the third-party eComm solution into the turnkey sites.
Some of the plugins are note as intuitive as they could be. I'd like to receive more information on how we can fully utilize these plugins for our sites.
Many of our partners are not looking to drop $50K on a site, so great solutions like Shopify have made it ideal for these sites.
