The value of what we get a SiteGround for the monthly fee is very good. We get all the tools we need to run many different types of websites. We can use several different CMS applications, like WordPress, or host basic HTML pages, which are great for quick landing pages. The speed of the page loads is among the best I've ever seen at this price point. SiteGround has a good reputation and isn't some super new unknown company. I like that there are reviews from experienced professionals out there. It gives me more confidence in using them.
For people that lack basic web programming and design skills, this isn't the easiest platform to use. SiteGround doesn't have the simplicity that some web builder companies have. Companies like Wix and Squarespace provide more backend tools that allow the user to worry more about the basic design and not as much about web pages structures and databases.
SiteGround has served as an open-ended web hosting account that we can use to post content of all kinds. We can post marketing graphics, submit forms, documents and full web sites. SiteGround has been a very good value and versatile enough to fit most of our online media needs. We can add several FTP accounts to our SiteGround account so that multiple users can manage our hosted files. We don't have to dedicate one person to take care of our web media management.
The main reason I use SiteGround is to host WordPress websites efficiently and with fast page loading speeds. Though I don't fully understand the underlying technicalities behind it, SiteGround has an hosting environment that works well with the assortment of needs WordPress relies on. The databases, PHP software and other backend hosting components are mostly all in top form. The control panel is simple to use and provide me with management flexibility. I can also get valuable insight into page performance and other analytics.
I don't use SiteGround for much else other than the WordPress installs, I don't host email, register domains or have any other common services related to web hosting. If you're looking for an all-in-one type of hosting provider that is well-rounded with a vast array of services and support team members, then SiteGround might not be ideal.
SiteGround's hosting has allowed me to boost page loading speeds on my WordPress websites with minimal cost and effort. Visitor feedback has been positive and more people tend to stay longer on many web pages. They also tend to interact more through watching videos, viewing photo galleries and signing up through our contact and online registration forms.
I chose SiteGround as a host because of their 60% off start-up special. It was an affordable option that offered what I needed: reliable hosting, cPanel, Wordpress auto-installation, and an email address. When I had a billing issue, the staff was friendly and resolved it within reasonable time. It was pretty easy to set up with my domains and easy auto WP installer.
Navigating around my admin area isn't very intuitive and some of the tutorials are outdated. When I tried to look up how to do something on the Siteground site, the tutorial's platform wouldn't match the platform on my screen or it would direct me to a dead link.
Site hosting multiple websites for my businesses.
Siteground was the first hosting company I have used, they have an extremely easy control panel area, you can do most of your work with that, it supports multiple platforms like wordpress and joomla etc.
I was really disappointed by the support. There was a time I was working on my wordpress website and it broke down, I created a ticket, which also took me a while to learn the way of doing it, they replied after 45 minutes. It was a terrible experience. I wish if there was some live chat option to cater all the needs of a user.
I used SiteGround hosting to host my website
I've always been able to get support easily via chat when I needed it. I have an iWeb site and a WordPress site hosted at SiteGround and haven't had any problems.
I haven't experienced anything negative at this point.
I use SiteGround for a simple business website built on iWeb and a WordPress site. I was previously hosting the iWeb site at MacHighway but when everything went bad at MacHighway in 2013-2014, I looked for a new place to host and chose SiteGround. I was impressed by their instant support via chat (or nearly so), and the people have always been so friendly. The WordPress site I've only hosted at SiteGround. When deciding where to take my MacHighway business, I was a little leery of SiteGround because they are incorporated in Panama yet their offices are in Bulgaria, but I read many, many reviews and didn't see anything to cause concern, so I went ahead and signed up. Everything since I've signed up has worked well.
SiteGround has exceptional customer service and shines in situations where there's a client that's inexperienced with the technical side of running and maintaining a website. Simply put, they'll hold your hand and fix things for you. Support tickets are answered in minutes and the tone is always polite and professional. The hosting itself is reliable. I've hosted websites through SiteGround since 2007 and rarely experience any downtime on any of my sites or my clients'. Slowdowns are also rare.
The script execution limits are low with SiteGround's hosting. If your site starts getting real traffic, you'll have to upgrade to a more expensive plan. That may seem like a no-brainer, and I would never expect a simple shared hosting plan to handle a million visitors a month, but the limits are surprisingly low. I also dislike the payment options. You can pay every three months on the GoGeek plan, but the lower plans only allow for yearly payments. There is no PayPal option, either.
I've never had to hire outside technical support when using SiteGround. If I have a phpBB install that's throwing errors, a support ticket is all that's needed. They also have a useful knowledge base/FAQ that's well written. Those two combined have saved me a lot of time over the years.
Their offering tech wise are pretty much industry standard but with a few "cherries" on top - such as their bug/patch fix before the script developers. But one thing that separates them from the rest is their support. Unlike other services whom send you links to their guides or on a goose chase to solve the problem, they do it for you and make sure it never occurs again.
There's always room to dislike a services price but nothing I regret. Another sacrifice I had to make switching, being a user in Sweden, nearest server is Amsterdam, but just recently they added London as well.
I switched to Siteground from previous host because of their backup solutions, wordpress dedicated service and of course their support whom helped me move my sites to their service.
Siteground is a great company offering great hosting services to their clients. The best thing I like about Siteground is how fast their web hosting service is - the average response time of the shared server that I was hosting my website was under 200ms - and they always seem to keep their hardware up-to-date and upgraded from time-to-time. Another thing that caught my attention for Siteground was their offering of advanced caching features - which you don't see many hosting providers have. Coming from a technical background and doing freelance work with clients, this is crucial to any large site that has to go live. They offer memcached, the option to enable Google's PageSpeed module, and provides notices to make sure that your website is up to par with the latest speed guidelines. Since I am a developer who works a lot with large and complex CMSs like WordPress and Drupal, Siteground is a great option because they have specific directions on hosting these systems. The lowest plan that they have is $6.95/month, which is hard to beat! I am definitely going to continue using Siteground for all my needs.
The only thing that I dislike about Siteground is that their plans don't offer a lot of storage or bandwidth. There is no month-to-month shared hosting plans and if you are a Windows server user, you're out of luck.
I am solving the problem of finding the right hosting provider to host my clients' websites. Benefits are ease of use, cheap pricing, and the best hardware out there of any provider.
Simple set up and effective at hosting your website. No frills, straightforward pricing, a great option if you are starting out and looking to just understand how to build and run a website without having to rack up big costs. The company always offers discounts when you first sign up so you will be able to get your website up and running very quickly. The hosting was also reliable, no issues with the site going down or loading speeds.
The dashboard interface isn't as slick as other hosting providers I have used, but it's not the worst either. It could be a little more user friendly but I could also be paying more money so on balance it's a good deal. The customer validation process was a little complicated it involved a telephone call and answering some questions which, although the telephony agent was perfectly friendly, just seemed like information they could have gleaned by using an online form at the time of set up.
Allows me to host a website very cost effectively rather than some of the more premium hosting platforms that come at a premium. You're able to get up and go with Siteground without having to worry about the monthly cost which is really important when you are just starting out.
Customer service, free SSL, WP starter, SG Optimizer plug-in.
I started at a very good price. Come renewal, price rate increased by 400%. My hosting will expire in 3 months and it skyrocketed 10 times.
I haven't really used it that much, because my website is still under construction. No time to finish it.
The power under SiteGround. The per-site visitor limitations might be deterring but come on....if you do get a million monthly visitors you making a load of money and should go for there cloud hosting plans. Did I mention the support? Like is the company a real company for real? The staff is so knowledgable, promote, and eager to help.
I do not like the whole pay double after a year model. I did not signup knowing that part. I understand they need to make money but wish they stated that fact from the begging on their price plan page.
Used a much cheaper web hosting provider....and it was a headache.....site crashes a lot . Switched over to site ground and I finally realised what paying a premium gets you. Hosting on SiteGround feels like hosting a site locally. It is soooooo fast. Even when I am in Africa. I am sooo excited about my switch. Did I also mention the amazing premium tools they have for boosting your site?
It is a simple system to register new users, just with an email and choose a password and voila, it is intuitive and you will not find yourself lost in its pages, its support team is fast and pleasant, have solutions immediately, with assistance 24 hours, 7 days a week, a very good tool, that's why I like it.
A very good tool, the only drawback is its prices that have risen a lot.
SiteGround helped us build the best website, we can also manage it more easily, thanks to this tool the performance of my website has increased.
The main reason I use SiteGround is to effectively host WordPress sites and have a fast page load speed. Although I don't fully understand the underlying technology behind it, SiteGround has a hosted environment that is well suited to the various needs that WordPress relies on. Databases, PHP software and other back-end managed components are mostly top-level. The control panel is simple to use and gives me management flexibility. I also get valuable insights into page performance and other analysis.
Except for the WordPress installation, I don't use SiteGround, I don't have hosting emails, register domain names or have any other common services related to web hosting. If you're looking for a variety of hosting providers that offer a full range of service and support team members, then SiteGround may not be ideal.
The hosting of SiteGround allows me to increase the page load speed of WordPress sites with minimal cost and effort. Visitor feedback is positive, and more people tend to stay longer on many web pages. They also tend to engage in more interaction by watching videos, viewing photo galleries, and registering through our contact and online registration forms.
SiteGround has a relatively low price, and shared hosting packages have excellent performance. Most web pages load time, even web pages with many large scripts and dynamic code, are very fast and usually get high scores in web performance tests. The control panel in the SiteGround account is designed to be simple. For those with basic experience with web hosting tools, SiteGround's web hosting account is easy to manage. Our web hosting account has key features such as MySQL database, email management, FTP account, file manager and account status information. We have gained a lot of bandwidth and storage space, far beyond our hosting needs.
There is nothing special about it. I really don't like SiteGround. If I have to pick it up, then I will say that their price is still a little higher than other similar hosting companies I have seen. If you are looking for an absolute minimum price, then SiteGround may not be the lowest price. I have not noticed as many promotional offers as some other web hosting companies
We use SiteGround to host a variety of marketing materials and business related documents. Our SiteGround account is common internally and can share documents and post information about our services and company news to customers and prospects. Using SiteGround is generally very enjoyable. Whenever we encounter technical problems, they are easy to master and often knowledgeable, at least providing some quality insight into our problems. They are often able to solve our problems completely. The price of SiteGround is perfect for minimizing our expenses.
It has a few number of benefits. 1- it provides very fast WordPress processing speed. 2- sub_domains can be created in a very few steps. 3- email management system is very efficient. 4- they provide services in a very reasonable price.
There is a small list of things I didn't like about siteground. 1- it wastes a lot of time in making ticket and then getting to the support. However, hostinger is only a click away to talk to the experts. 2- I have a MacBook and a windows operating computer as well, it won't allow me to stay logged in on the both devices at the same time.
It was the first paid hosting I have ever used. 1- I was able to finish my website in less time because of it's fast speed. 2- I also had unlimited sub-domains and email for the very first time.
I really like SiteGround ease of use, and the ability to create working website with custom Wordpress installations in no time. Support is live and great.
Price is high, especially after the first year promo. Also i had problems with the daily number of inode usage where they cut off the website, and had to buy a higher price tier to keep it up and running.
Siteground helped us having a website up and running in zero time.
Great support. Fast, clear, easy, and knowledgeable.
Pricing is too high, but also understand support costs involved. They get you in with big first year discounts.
Solutions to problems when needed. Have used for quite awhile.
The services provided at the cost is terrific. They are the best low-cost hosting provider out there! Their uptime is great, customer service is always knowledgeable, available, and helpful, and their service is what I would expect with no surprises.
Their pricing structure sometimes has hidden fees or things you might miss. So double check everything after you've ordered to make sure everything is in order. Contact service to remove any features you didn't sign up for, they're very quick in responding.
I used SiteGround for multiple businesses and hosting situations. It was always reliable and easy to use, have no complaints about the service itself.
They make wordpress hosting really simple and help you out with whatever you need 24/7. It's a basic/advanced service, more economical that hosting our own server and a small team of WordPress experts. They have lot's features - but none are "pro" level for developers. But their support makes up for all rest. It's really great and pleasure to work with them.
They offer many features like 'staging' and 'git' but they are sometimes less than you'd expect. Some advanced security features cannot be achieved, like whitelisting administration panel due to the nature of multi tenancy. I also don't really like the SSL features, but I can do without it. for now.
WordPress hosting for marketing website
Live chat : favorite feature, every time we needed help, it was instant, even if it was something complicated they would scale it to a senior technician. Wordpress Staging: Deploy Wordpress websites with 1-click.
CPU Abuse by other accounts on the same server, i wish Siteground to limit CPU usage per account .. but for many times we had a 503 service unavailable error.
We're using Siteground to host multiple small websites with no need to worry about managing our own servers. Siteground is a cost effective hosting service with excellent customer support ..
