There are two things I love about Supermetrics. 1. There easy to use connectors for our marketing data pipeline. 2. The people that work there. The Supermetrics team is always there to help us and develop custom solutions when needed.
The biggest downside to Supermetrics is the price. That being said, they are the best in the industry and their product is beyond comparison so it is difficult to complain too much!
As a digital marketing agency, Supermetrics help us set up our marketing data pipeline by pulling data from various channels into our Google Big Query data warehouse.
I really like how much time Supermetrics saves me during the day by just importing Google Analytics data into Excel. No manual downloads, no webpage visits needed. For most clients it is extremely important to have the MS Excel connector since a lot of them do not utilize a Google Sheets / Drive environment.
I do not like that different connectors are paired with higher tiers. Of course the basics (Google, facebook) are included in the base tier, however from my experience even startups need connectors to shop backends and CRM suites from day one and not everyone is able to pay for the agency plan.
Supermetrics currently is the most efficient way to import Google data into reporting environments where they are joined with other business data. They make the refresh and maintenance of these environments a lot easier.
A lot of usefull insights, it's really easy to use.
Sometimes the help center it's not responding as quick as I need it.
Connecting data from different platforms - I can compare them in a easy way.
Being able to easily schedule the fetching and storing of data for use in reporting and projects. This data is then effectively centralised, deduplicated, and standardised for use in reporting.
The need to duplicate licenses for each individual user (e.g. 2x users may be working on the same report, but each user needs a license). If API allowances could be shared from a centralised manager account without a need to cap the number of users within, that would be useful.
Reducing the need for manually fetching data and pasting it into raw data tabs to populate client reporting and reporting to internal stakeholders across marketing and websites. Reducing human error in collating data, by periodically fetching the data straight from the source.
SuperMetrics for Google Sheets makes retrieving data from multiple marketing platforms quick & easy. The Query tool is user friendly and simple to use, the clear documentation and onboarding guidance means all members of the team can pick up the tool quickly.
The only negatives are API changes at the source, and not always being clear on how these changes impact the SuperMetrics end user. This could be partly addressed by clearer flagging when queries break or metrics are suddenly no longer available to return.
Supermetrics has enabled automation of dozens of previously manual daily reports, as well as making WoW/YoY and period by period performance easily accessable, to aid both short-term decision making and longer-term forecasting.
Simple to configure. Works across all my datasets.
A little touchy to set up and get used to on Google Sheets.
Daily brings my critical analytics data from my data stores to my analytics dashboards.
Supermetrics is great for collating data from many different sources. It allows you to automatically pull in data at set intervals, all in one place. Not only can you analyse this data, you can also send to Data Studio for visualisation.
It would be great if the help sections explained a bit more about what fields are available/what field/dimension combinations are possible. I've ran in to a few problems with Mailchimp!
We're trying to collate all information into one place, track our marketing results, measure the return on investment and improve attribution across our digital marketing efforts.
The ease of connectivity and service have been amazing.
The a la carte pricing model is a little pricy for premium connectors
Allowing Google Data Studio to leverage multiple data points in one location.
The ease of cleaning and sorting data is what I like the best. It is easy to use and see the fields.
I don't particularly appreciate how I cannot preview the data fields until they are updated in the report. Hard coding of the data could also be improved.
Pulling our data from Google Campaign Manager into Google Sheets to allow me to report on it in Looker Studio.
I'm able to pull in data across multiple platforms that saves me several hours every week.
The dashboard could have been slightly more intuitive and connectivity with more programmatic platforms would be huge
Helps me pull metrics from across several social media sights and saves me several hours of reporting time every week
It's very easy to use, you can filter your data beafore taking to your data viz app.
Sometimes the data get unavailable for some reason.
Help me connect my ads data to my CRM and offline data.
I like it because it works very well. I use it for Meta Ads, mostly, but I've also used it for Apple Search Ads, Twitter Ads or Pinterest Ads. But what I really like is the support. They are quick to respond and have always solved the usual connection problems with the different traffic sources.
There is nothing I dislike. I believe is a perfect tool.
The usual problems of connection to different traffic sources. Conversion attribution, etc.
Supermetrics helps me integrate all my paid media data (and organic) into one single place. I use it to keep track of the main KPIs in a single spreadsheet and build dashboards for sharing with the different shareholders.
The downside that I find is the speed of the download when you have a lot of queries in one place. Also, I think it could be a good idea is having a feature for uploading (or re-uploading) data into apps. (e.g Google Ads Offline Conversions)
Right now, I can make my own dashboards without the need to ask a data scientist or data analyst to connect to every single API and download the data into a spreadsheet. I can follow every KPI that I want and make custom reports.
Organization of functionalities, flow to procure data & the recurring reports function. Their team is awesome aswell.
I don't know just yet. Things have been falling into place upto now.
Collecting data from multiple sources, having one platform to collect all data is crucial for productivity.
It is easy to use. Customer support is quite good as well. I don't feel left out if I ran to a problem. Quality of product is also good.
It can get quite expensive with some products.
Dashboard solution is quite easy to use with looker studio.
Supermetrics connects to lots of sources and lets me load things like cost data into one spreadsheet. I save myself lots of time from logging into each of these sources of data and having Supermetrics just update a spreadsheet that I can perform lookups from.
It feels a little pricey, but it's well worth the cost. This saves me hours each week and is much more accurate than me downloading or copying data from multiple places.
Supermetrics helps me aggregate critical business data into spreadsheets that I can share with our executive team. I can also have them automatically update on a scheduled basis.
Supermetrics is a flexible tool that allows you to access data from most sources and automate your data processes. It's a major time saver and allows you to consolidate multiple data sources into one for very powerful data-driven insights.
The pricing model includes upcharges for every feature (users, platforms, integrations, data frequency, etc). It would be better if Supermetrics would include all base-level ad accounts in the same tier. For example, Google Ads is in tier 1 but Microsoft Ads is in tier 2.
I can get a rather comprehensive view of the marketing and sales funnels across multiple lead-gen channels. This has helped my org make good decisions that increase ROI.
Supermetrics lets us pull all of the metrics and dimensions we need from most marketing channels into one place. We're able to automate the feed and the support team are responsive and knowlegable.
It can get a little costly if you have alot of connectors and channels.
Supermetrics lets us pull all of the metrics and dimensions we need from most marketing channels into one place. We're able to automate the feed and the support team are responsive and knowlegable.
Supermetrics focuses on the quality of connectors that we can pull a lot more extensive data from the connectors. Since using Supermetrics, we have saved almost 80% of reporting hours.
Not much really to not like about Supermetrics. There are just times when launching sidebars on Google sheets take a lot of time to take to launch. And sometimes data are overwritten on the sheet when refreshing queries.
Reporting and analytics are very complex business problems that we deal with on the daily. Supermetrics is aware of this difficulty and thus taking the burden off our plates.
