We have deployment our PMO office on 2016, so we have required a tool where organization as well as IT department has to understand to complete project life cycle. if we talking about complete life cycle its means we have to consider this from BA to Deployment. So we have start to R and D and search for a tool which much useful and quite easy to understand so we finalized Zoho Project to start with. This is is very much useful to understand to complete end to end life cycle of project management. Further, it has 2 type of resource allocation 1, is percentage wise 2 , is hours wise. So as resource manage it quite easy to engage resource in a write manner. This tool give us the 90 % visibility of project status and every resource engagement till start to end. The software solution is designed to streamline the process of project management from the initial phase to closing, using its fully automated and highly customization features.Further, this is cloud base solution which easy to deploy and cost efficient.
Admin Panel is much complex and only single hierarchy which not be very useful in every organization or project. Real-time tracking of your team’s productivity is sometime difficult , thus, giving you not reliable information on how much time is being spent on a specific task. Further, its reporting tool is very limited and complex. Every time you have to write a query when you want to analysis anything.
Zoho has help us to identify the cost , budget and risk management which we lacking previously. we previously maintain this on Ms Excel which quite difficult to maintain its audit trail and version controlling. Further, Project visibility is quite big advantage to us
It's easy to get started, has a nice interface, and receives frequent updates.
Your unable to template task list sets per milestone.
Organized the workload of a team of report developers.
It seems efficient to concentrate the most useful project management options in a single software, the workspace and interface are well achieved, which makes it easier to intuitively recognize where the tools are and what they are for, you can work collectively and it is very I can quickly follow up on each project in that way I am always up to date with my performance and of my colleagues who participate in the project, the graphs, data and gantt diagram work correctly.
The document management does not seem the most efficient since it does not have an automatic selection process of favorites or even visualization of the last open, downloaded and shared so it is always necessary to go to the search filters to find the file that you look for, the templates of hours worked must improve to be more graphic and visual in that way it will be better understood when they are exported, some tools were more complex than expected and for that reason I have not been able to use them efficiently, there should be an internal tutorial how to link Zoho Projects with the other available platforms.
Being a collaborative tool capable of integrating all the needs of planning and project organization is of high importance in the working group of design and planning of architecture and engineering projects, its implementation allows me to organize my tasks in installments and also to do direct monitoring of my performance during the work days.
My brother makes us use it and it keeps him happy.
Being black mailed into using something and then always having to learn something new.
Keeps my brother quiet. But really we use to help keep organized and it's cheap.
The software is friendly and easy to start, yet there are multiple levels allowing for continued user growth. The pricing is sensible for teams without varied levels of participation.
The google docs function is there but doesn't work quite right, at least as far as I can determine.
Project management and Gantt chart implementation.
For a team comprised of only a few members, this was a relatively functional way to keep all of our different projects for every line of business in the organization straight and organized.
The hierarchy of task/event/project/project group organization was sometimes confusing to navigate; however, the overall total organizational intent of the project management software was visible in majority of the way things were organized.
On a small team that worked with so many different lines of business on a daily basis, this project management software was impendingly crucial in maintaining task accountability among team members and provided the opportunity to generate reports to supervisors and managers based on requests for status updates.
it keeps tasks organized and timelines organized. i can check on projects and make new tasks for people that need them. i can keep track of my employees doing the tasks and get updates through the comments
i dont' like how when you close a task you can't read any comments that were written. you get in trouble when the tasks aren't closed in time even thought you can make the timeline yourself.
we can stay on schedule and keep projects moving at a constant speed
What I like best about Zoho Projects is that I am able to input all of my tasks for myself and my team into one portal. I am also able to comment on the tasks and see their productivity or ask them questions and input information. We are also able to to put a die date on there and it tells us what tasks are overdue.
What I dislike about Zoho Projects is that I don't always get notifications when I have been assigned something or when someone has left me a comments.
The business problem that we are solving with Zoho Projects is that we are able to have all of our tasks in one portal. Along with that we are able to create forums and have all of our notes and are able to contribute in one portal.
Desktop notifications keep me on top of my work.
UI is not the smoothest. Often lags and has multiple dialogs on top of each other, making it hard to know where you are at times.
Helping our product, design and engineerings teams work together efficiently
It integrates with Zoho CRM, which our sales team uses. You can build a project off a deal.
The actual module is not easy to navigate. The template set up seems harder than it needs to be and areas I don't use that I think I have hidden or disabled pop up. It's just a cluttered lay out.
Once It's fully set up and it should allow us to track projects in on place and update the CRM with data.
Pricing is excellent and affordable for SMEs, billing and time tracking features are great, uploading and storing the project-related documents in a single place.
Sometimes issue occurs in exporting the projects in excel, does not have any inbuilt templates, the interface is not very user friendly, customer support services could be better.
Multiple projects management and tracking its status, uploading and storing project-related documents concerning the project folder, billing, and time tracking of all the projects
The UI is very good and have included customising functionality which is very useful. They have provided multiple chart option which is used to represent the data in pictorial form which is making user to understand easily.
Can improvise login functionality and can focus on integration with SAP system.
Can get the project report easily and sort out which resources is behind the deadline.
There are many customization tools and options for setting up the platform for your needs.
The platform is not user-intuitive, it constantly has bugs, and there are constant updates to the platform, which make it confusing once you've figured an aspect out - they change it.
We use Zoho Projects with our experts and clients to help streamline work and give us an overview of where clients are in their work. Benefits are that we can see how far in a project they are - but this requires both expert and client to utilize the platform, but since it can be tedious to use Zoho Projects, often it is not updated.
A good inexpensive tool for basic project management
Lots of manual work required to make new projects and manage tasks - little to no automation and templating.
Solved basic project management needs for a small marketing agency. Good way to manage daily tasks.
provides excellent summary data and ability to navigate
dependency process is clumsy or missing from the application
managing tasks across timezones and schedules
I love the easy collaboration between team members.
I think it should be a little more customizable for the user. The task list views can be modified to be a little clearer visually as well.
Keep ing up with my projects and tasks related to them.
I like it to be a dynamic and practical tool to manage, it gives you the possibility of importing data through other applications of project management, which helps that managing and executing the project can be done in a more practical and useful way. It also allows you to visualize the project of different manage and evaluate how it is being carried out
some of the functions that it offers have certain limitations that can be tedious to handle since they complicate the effective handling of the tool.
is a very practical and dynamic tool that allows you to handle new projects in a very practical way, thus improving the execution and management of them
Most of the functionality I want is there. I like that it allows you to set recurring tasks, and it's easy to see how far along a project is. Zoho is really customizable and allows you to control what you see on your main dashboard, as well as within individual projects. The Live Chat feature is also helpful if you ever get stuck.
The interface. It's not as user-friendly as it could be, and there is definitely a learning curve when starting out. To my knowledge, there is no functionality that allows you to track your time spent on tasks, so I need to use a secondary program to do so.
Transparency across the company. Anyone can log in and see what people are working on.
Easy to edit descriptions, task lists are very convenient, and tracking time and percentage complete is easy.
Right when I get used to the UI, major changes are made, and they’re often not intuitive. Recently, the comment section was changed and you couldn’t see the most recent comments without expanding all.
Communication between teams is better.
I like how easy it is to use. Create a task, add it to a project and boom, you are done. There are many different ways to organize groups, projects and tasks.
It's hard to see exactly what your team is working on at one glance. The dashboard is unorganized and it needs some added features.
We are able to easily assign tasks and see where we are with projects through the task trackers. We are able to keep documents within projects and edit them within zoho, a great feature.
The ability to add tasks and communicate with team members on individual tasks
The inability to forecast availability based on tasks
Management of projects has become easier since using Zoho project. We are able to finish in time and under budget using this software.
Data Visualization is best part of this sowfware
I see daily email on my integrated mailbox that you did this task and this is remaining so it is not good for me at last.
you can see the chart of data it's easy to see in a minute.
because its integrated with other Zoho products
Time Log should have been mandatory (at least there should be an option in blueprint to make it mandatory)
still reviewing
Plenty of features. Many third party connections. Decent value for the money.
Old school... No different time zones. Not designed for remote working. User management and comunication is a pain (Especially across continents).
Engineering management. I can keep track of the progess and expenses.
Good for the price. Useful program. Helps with projects
It is hard to use initially. New design is hard to use
We are creating timelines for clients
Ease of use, Calendar, Dashboards. I have used several project management suits but I like this one the best.
Not able to se overall time in reports if time is added to task.
Project management, Video production.
I like that Zoho Projects is part of a larger suite of Zoho products that I also use.
Zoho products in general, including Zoho Projects, seem to be built to serve the company rather than the users. The underlying architecture doesn't seem to change in favor of best practices and users and their growing needs through the years. Asking how to do specialized things that ought to be able to be done via the API results in "the system specification doesn't allow that" types of answers. I've patiently waited for "system specifications" to change over several years, but they haven't.
I'm using Zoho products to run my business, primarily Zoho Books. Its benefit is to keep all my accounting in sync with projects, timesheets, etc.
Zoho allows for collaboration between different departments, and pages are accessible.
I feel that the interface is clunky and it is difficult to find documents. We place our documents in pages, and it takes several clicks to get there. The chat app isn't great, and tagging people doesn't always work.
We use it for inter-departmental communication. I work for an advertising company, so I place the documents with my copy in pages for the designers to grab. It does the job just fine, but the interface is awkward.
Signup process is somewhat smooth User interface and user experience is relatively okay
Adding projects is a bit confusing Assigning teams to projects and tasks was a bit painful
PRoject management
I like using Zoho Projects for anything I am working on with a deadline. While it is less helpful in tracking ongoing tasks, it is great for tracking tasks and assigning folks to subtasks in order to get larger tasks completed. I also like the time tracking feature for holding my team and myself accountable.
I dislike that so many clicks are required to complete the assignment of any task in Zoho projects.
We are trying to solve improved accountability for our team. Zoho Projects hasn't proven to be the best tool for this yet.
