I love that I can edit photos and can utilize the tool that duplicate portions of the image. I can not only fix imperfections but also create new images and designs.
I wish it was a little more user friendly. It is a bit confusing at first to figure out. Still I feel like I don't have a 100% grasp on the software. A tutorial would also help to mitigate that
I have seen the difference it could make in editing photos for clients as well as my own personal photos. It allows me to make the images much more crisp and edit out small imperfections.
Elements is a scaled-down version of photoshop, but it has all the tools I need for professional photo editing and graphic design. The best part is that you buy it once then own it - not paying a monthly fee. I've been using various versions of both Photoshop (full version) and Elements since 2004, and when I need to buy for a new computer, I always choose elements.
The placement of the controls take a little getting used to if you're migrating from the C-series. Also, I really wish Photoshop would just offer one product that's not a subscription, instead of constantly trying to get you to upgrade from Elements.
The biggest challenge is matching online tutorials to your version of Elements. In each version, the buttons may look slightly different or the menus may be arranged differently. A tutorial made using a different version might not cut it.
I recommend this to my friends that need to edit photos but don't want to pay the annual subscription fee for Photoshop. $100 is much easier to take than the cost of Photoshop.
It is much more limited than Photoshop but for the price, I cannot say I dislike anything about it.
Offer a cost effective solution for my clients and friends.
I like that I can jump in and do most of what I need to with ease in Photoshop Elements, and I like that. I am happy that I don't need to navigate through countless features and tools I have little need of from standard Photoshop. Because I don't need to sort through many arbitrary tools helps me expedite the process of making minor edits and creating tiny graphics for the company's customer community, and more. My company can provide Photoshop Elements to all employees quickly, even the customer success team. While they don't need to create graphics and other assets, they can use Photoshop Elements to assist customers who need help inserting their images into the software. They can call our support team for help resizing and making slight adjustments to their pictures.
Some cheaper alternatives to programs are only missing a few features that are key to true creative specialists. Photoshop Elements omits a lot of what standard Photoshop has, and it seems more likely to experience technical difficulties than other image editors. I've needed to spend extra time creating process documentation and customer-facing community resources because of this. Photoshop Elements is not an excellent choice for us when we need to create assets for the software.
With Photoshop Elements, my teammates and I enjoy making minor edits to images and screenshots. I like using the clone stamp tool, my most used feature, followed by the magic eraser, and they are both at the forefront of the tool palette. Swapping between layers and moving objects is simple. I help write steps and create visual assets for customer-facing resources, such as how-to articles for using parts of the software, and I've enjoyed Photoshop Elements for most of my needs. Taking a quick print screen and pasting it into Photoshop speeds up my editing process and enables me to compare before and after work when updating images quickly. I use Photoshop Elements to help me examine parts of an image and our UI more closely and ensure colors match exactly what our company needs for consistency.
Lover the automated options, super fun and easy to use!
I dont care for the smart tags feature, its ok but could use improvement. This is a minor nit pick though.
Makes it easy to edit large batches of photos, I like the ability to order prints as well. I can do everything without leaving the program.
I find Photoshop Elements to be helpful with editing and optimizing photos and images quickly and efficiently. Also, it's less complicated than Photoshop and uses less computing power (my PC might need a disk fragmentation and hard disk cleanup, but I don't have time for that!).
I honestly do not dislike anything about Photoshop Elements, or other Adobe CC Suite apps.
Sometimes, my Web Design and SEO clients request image optimizations expecting a quick turnaround or ETA, and sending the image files to the graphic designers can make the process take longer. Photoshop Elements allows me to cut out the middleman and deliver the optimized images faster.
I like that Photoshop Elements offers professional editing tools but they keep it simple enough that anyone can learn to use it.
I dislike that some of the functions are not as obvious as others. For example, to remove the background of an image, I needed to look online for a guide on how to do it.
Having a complete photo editor is essential for the line of business that I am a part of. I am over my organization's publications, and therefore, I must have a capable editor.
I've been using Photoshop for a decade and I keep getting amazed at all its different tools and capabilities. Anything is possible if you're patient and willing to learn.
The only thing that comes to mind, is the quality of text snippets. I always have to add text in Illustrator instead as the text becomes too pixelized and hard to read if only using Photoshop.
I use Photoshop for a bunch of things. From adding simple adjustment layers to photos going into an eBook to creating artwork for ads.
Great app for editing different types of pics screenshots and more it also gives one heck of a variety of editing choices to choose from to really express your idea of what you want to manifest into the picture
only really dislike was the mouse sense when doing a type of sketch it was a little to fast
proper editing layouts i couldn't seem to edit with other editing softwares
I love the versatility of PSE. Whether you need to design a logo, retouch a photo, or even create a resume, it's both possible and easy in Photoshop Elements.
There is very little to complain about with PSE. I have qualms with Adobe as a whole, as their apps tend to be crashy and they are rather expensive, but PSE is my favorite of their suite of applications.
I am able to retouch my photo work quickly and easily with PSE. It also allows me to manipulate photos in a way that isn't possible with Lightroom, for example removing a stray hair from a portrait.
Elements gives me the ability to use the most popular features of photoshop at a price that I can afford to use it.
limited features compared to other web-apps.
Photoshop elements lets me modify images for classroom use.
They make this product very easy to use - I love that you have the More Advanced usage and then there's the walk you thru for the less advanced user. There are some of the product that I had experience in and there are some things that I've learned from the Guided Section. It's pretty simple to use and has so, many options that you can do. I love the gradient tool and the selection tools you have a good variety. The new object erase is alot better than what was before. I feel that this Product is one of the top of the line products on the market. I've been a subscriber/user for a few years now and buy this every year for my work use mostly. The most helpful part is If you are not one of the many advanced users it can be overwhelming to use but, with the Guided Section and the level of sections that are on here you have options for any level of expertise. Upside I've struggled to find a good product that meets my many needs and this product meets most of those needs and isn't overly confusing to use. You have many levels for anyone starting out or, more advanced to use.
I haven't worked with the video part much so, not able to give a fair review on that part. Downside I would like to see a bigger canvas when starting up/doing a new document/image. Least helpful is the clone tool can be aggravating at times trying to clone something it leaves a circle around when you past in the area. There's not many things I really dislike about this product - I am sure that the cloning part is part of my not using the product in the right aspect but, I feel that it could be easier to use sometimes when I am cloning it goes to transparent and I have to mess with the settings to get it to where it works like I need it to.
I've learned more overall on how to work with the layers. Benefits? I've realized there is so, much that you can do with this product such as how easy cuting out an object can be and place them on a total new background or, to replace the background in general. This has solved my replacing backgrounds issue many times or, to have to come up with a gradient background and this makes it faily simply to do so.
What I enjoy most about Photoshop Elements is that I can use it on my phone and edit if I'm not at home.
What I dislike about Photoshop Elements is that I can't do intense editing if I need to fix an image.
The problem I am solving with Photoshop Elements is that I can fix a photo quickly for a final touch-up and make my images appear more professional. I have realized that correcting my images gets me more engagement on my website.
Latest features, additional addons & helpful tips.
Most of things are pretty well only improvement in quick access.
Related to all my customer queries.
I love how intuitive and straightforward the application is. Without a doubt, my favorite editing software.
It can be challenging to find and use the more niche tools on the application, but typically I find what I'm looking for without too much effort.
I'm solving any of the typical editing challenges one will face when working on artistic documents or pictures. I have realized over time just how versatile Photoshop Elements can be. Whenever I need to edit a photo with extreme precision, I look to the Elements application to give me the support I need, and I know it will surpass my expectations.
Has most of the essential features for entry level design work
I have had no issues for what this program was intended for.
I have used Photoshop to do simple enhancment and manipulation of photographs.
I've used Photoshop Elements since version 4. The easy-to-use interface and the wonderful shortcut keys make it a great tool to edit photos and create graphics quickly.
I would like to be able to see the PhotoBin at all times rather than have to click on it to see it.
I redesign images for faculty using Photoshop Elements frequently instead of full Photoshop CC because it is much quicker for basically the same result. I have also used it to create logos, brochures, posters, and much more. It is my go-to design software.
I like how straightforward PS Elements is to use. The toolbar is out of the way but very logically organized, and menu items are easy to find. Elements has allowed photo editing to become a lot simpler for users, from beginner to advanced.
Adobe products tend to crash when overloaded; PS Elements does this less frequently than other software but still does on occasion. It also slows down when you try to do too many tasks at once.
I have developed a streamlined photo editing workflow thanks to PS Elements; it allows me to easily ingest raw photos and export retouched photos quickly and easily. The benefit of Elements, as opposed to Lightroom, is it will enable you to edit in a more complex way and to manipulate the photos you have taken if needed.
Photoshop Elements has everything I need to complete most of my projects--cropping pictures, resizing them, and minor cloning. Because it has fewer features than Photoshop, it's easier for an amateur like me to complete a project without getting too lost.
There's nothing I dislike. I had one project that involved rotoscoping, and it was easier to do with the full version of Photoshop (both are provided at my workplace).
I am able to resize images to lower download time for users and also to upload into certain systems that restrict space. I am able to crop images to make them consistent for viewers. And I am able to add layers and then color just one item to focus viewer attention on it. For me, it's faster with Elements than with full Photoshop.
You will have complete control of editing. Options to work from tablet or PC Using ofo the smart pen and pressure.
I'm using it for a long time and had no problems with it at all
I am editing Photos to promote my work in a way to attract people. also it increases my personal skills and talents greaphic design. it gives me more option to work with as i can work on it from the tablet or the PC.
