The smoother is something that I was waiting for so long and it has made my job very easy when using the brush tool. Smart guides are AWESOME.
Nothing much at the moment, I really enjoy my workflow.
I not only use it for everyday work, but it's also a tool for everyday stuff, like documents.
Adobe Photoshop is a powerful tool for creating all sorts of professional projects. There is always more to learn and an active community of users willing to help.
Some features are hard to find and not as intuitive as they could be. The tools all make sense once you find them, however.
I use Adobe Photoshop to create book covers and marketing graphics. Because this program is the industry standard it's a breeze to work with collaborators.
Photoshop has very powerful photo editing and manipulation tools. And it is available on almost every platform from your smartphone to PC or Mac. Whether you are a photographer or make comic characters or a product designer. Photoshop has got all the required tools for you. From a wide range of Brushes to AI-powered photo manipulation tools, photo filters, predefined presets. And also you have a lot of supported file format options to choose from. So you can work on and save your work in the format you need it to be.
The first thing that I don't like is that you don't get a perpetual license. The second thing, with all the capabilities and tools, Photoshop consumes a significant amount of memory on your system. And unlike some other graphic designing software, photoshop doesn't automatically backup your work in-case there is a sudden power cut-off or system failure.
It has all the tools required to create a comic character or to work on digital painting, photo manipulation, creating wedding albums, invitations, website logos etc. Also, it is very easy to connect and use digital pen inputs such as a Wacom tablet. So you can get all your graphics and photo manipulation work done in one place.
I can do just about anything i want to do in this application.
not much i would fix or change honestly.
Not many problems so far. I've used photoshop for a couple of years now and it hasn't failed me yet.
I love the freedom make a lot of different kinds of edits and image changes.
Sometimes the software is non-intuitive. If I haven't used it in a while-- I have to re-familiarize.
Graphic design for posters (I just finished a feature documentary). I teach graphic design and composition to my students and make them learn this.
I have been using Photoshop since Photoshop one! I recently picked it up again transitioning from fine arts to design. It has the most usable interface in my opinion, and there is an opportunity to go in deeper and deeper or using it lightly as well. I find it to be a great tool, and I'm impressed by the updates which have very much improved over time visibly. My favorite part would be how nicely it runs on a variety of outlets from laptops to tablets.I am very impressed by the improved patch tool! I remember when it started and it's greatly improved. I would still like to see some work on it further, but excited to see where i goes next.
The pen tool. I don't hate it and it's obviously a factor in many Adobe programs. However, the tool itself has always had issues in that it does not entirely take into account how easy this tool can be learned. There are websites and games, but I find it still the worse thing to teach when I work as an educator.
So much! I work in restoration and I am able to color correct.
The ease of functions. I use this to make many designs I have had to create.
I am not able to think of anything at this time
I am able to easy create designs for my team.
Easy tools, remained same even throughout updates. Layers make photo edits easy.
The text tool doesn't do spell check, no bleed setup
So many ppl are self conscious abt their 1st day & badge pics. Just saying I'll photoshop it makes them laugh
I love being able to manipulate images to represent our design concepts.
I dislike how frequently the program crashes.
Photoshop allows me to apply design elements such as tile and fabrics to an existing photo to show clients what their space could look like.
Even though some things can be complicated, there is always someone online, or even a youtube video giving you a tutorial on how to accomplish your desired use.
It can be complicated, and there isn't a lot in the software to help you through the learning curve.
All of our photo editing, and logo design is done in Photoshop
I like that the updated over the years certainly always improve and that I don't have to re-learn the software every time there is an update. As a photographer I do all my editing in PS.
I'm probably only using about 40% of the features of Photoshop. It's awesome that there are 20 different ways to accomplish the same task but it can also be a little overwhelming to have so many tools and options.
Working in an E-Commerce company, we shoot our on product photos regularly so I'm constantly using photoshop for quick edits, easy re-sizing, background removal, and of course re-touching or re-coloring. I'm also able to create graphics for social media fairly easily with Photoshop. I use Adobe Illustrator primarily for that, but I love being able to copy and paste between the 2 software to add graphics to my photos.
I love that Photoshop allows me to create beautiful designs and is mostly very intuitive to use. Adobe does regular updates for CC which is great.
Photoshop lacks the ability to easily use rulers or to evenly divide your a page into sections, which is something I need to do quite often and can be frustrating.
I design artwork for web use and for print. The benefits are that I’m able to get my work done through a software program I’m pretty familiar with.
The magic wand tool that allows you to select the subject.
Constantly asks me to confirm changes when pasting or transforming a selection.
I really only use photoshop to enhance my illustrator or indesign experiences. It's also great for converting file types like jpg to png etc.
I can easily remove backgrounds, edit photos, stabilize the color balance, modify images and just put together what I wish. It is a very creative software and lets you do basically everything you have in mind. I started to use it several years ago and since then I couldn`t imagine my life without it on my computer.
I needed quite some time till I felt confortable using this software, but once you get used it to it works like a charm.
I need to edit several photos to place it on our website, brochures and different marketing materials. Photoshop is solving this issue greatly, I can edit anything quickly and without a big hassle.

The new versions, enabling clients to rapidly move an element to another piece of the photograph or evacuate it all together. The substance mindful scale instrument, enables you to extend a picture by including content, rather than twisting it. Adobe offers a lot of learning instruments online for each ability level.
It's expensive and it's membership based. Additionally, it introduces Adobe Cloud and an entire loads of different projects on your PC.
We've initially utilized photoshop to do a few flyers for our company presentation. However immediately expanded our portfolio, to business cards, sites plan and postcards. Photoshop is the go to device in case need any picture handling or graphical content.
I love that it syncs pretty much flawlessly with other Adobe products.
There really isn't much to say about what I don't like.
When using Photoshop, I can easily mock up everything that I need.
Photoshop gives you the ability to do many things in many ways
Hard to pick up skills when program isn't used for awhile
Many departments use Photoshop to create advertising for the university, and have been successful in increasing retension
My favorite thing about Photoshop are the millions of helpful how-to videos that exist out there - I can find a video showing me step-by-step how to do literally anything in the program. I don't have to be a Photoshop expert to be able to produce the exact result I'm looking for.
If there weren't all those how-to videos, the program itself would be very intimidating with a steep learning curve. There are thousands of features and options that can be really confusing if you don't know what they mean.
I don't have to outsource graphic design any longer; I'm able to produce the exact results I'm after. That saves money and helps increase my skill set, as well.
The best tool for photo editing and keeping designs consistant
Cost can be on going and depending which package can cost alot
Update content quickly
I was able to transition from using Photoshop in design school, to using it in my professional and freelance work completely seamlessly. I never felt the need to use another program, Photoshop and Adobe never failed to provide updates that kept the program current.
Photoshop is cutting edge to a fault. Running it on older, slower computers is difficult and very slow.
Photoshop allowed me to be the designer AND photographer for the financial institution I worked for, turning our staff and event photos into very professional looking images we used on print materials regularly.
